What’s one small change that made your home office way better?

I keep noticing that the upgrades people end up loving aren’t always the expensive ones. Sometimes it’s just raising the monitor a few inches, moving a lamp, fixing the desk height, or swapping out an uncomfortable chair.

What changed your setup more than you expected?

A chair can be adjusted "correctly" and still feel wrong after two hours

A lot of chair setup advice comes down to the same things: elbows around 90°, feet flat on the floor, knees around 90°.

Those are useful starting points, but they don't always tell you whether the chair actually fits you.

A few checks I find more useful:

• Can you sit all the way back without the front edge of the seat pressing behind your knees?

• Does the lumbar support meet your lower back without pushing you forward?

• Can your forearms rest comfortably without your shoulders lifting?

• Can you recline a little and still keep your feet comfortably supported?

If one of those feels off, the chair can get uncomfortable pretty quickly even if your posture looks "correct."

What other fit checks would you add?
