What happened to all the plant-based Haagen Dazs and Ben & Jerry’s?

What happened to all the plant-based Haagen Dazs and Ben & Jerry’s?

Last summer they used to be like half the shelf, this weekend was hot so was craving some ice cream and didn’t find any except the So Delicious brand at my local freshco, are they discontinued or did my store just stop carrying them?

Update: Haagen Dazs responded to my inquiry on their website confirming the plant based line is discontinued unfortunately, see their response in the comment below as I can’t add images to the post.

Made-in-Canada soy curls!

Just wanted to plug Yumasoy Foods of Vancouver after ordering a 3kg box of their soy curls for $59. 100g feeds my family so 30 meals! Came with a sweet thank you note and some recipe cards.

Check out Plant Curious if you're in Toronto or Vancouver

I just bought this subscription as a gift for a friend and thought i'd give it a quick shoutout here since it has been awesome for me and my partner over the last two years. Whenever we feel like going out to eat, we pick a place that currently has an offer on the app and it's a great way to save. We've even learned about some Toronto vegan spots that we hadn't heard of! Customer service is great too.

What vegan or plant based restaurant is one of your favorites?!

One of my favorite restaurants would be Mystical Mixes in San Francisco. Staying true to their plant based structure he has a variety of options. In the video above you can see:
•Coconut Curry Chickpeas
•Jerk Jackfruit w/ cashew cheese drizzle.
•Garnished w/ tomato, onion, and cilantro.
•Accompanied w/ apple & beet root seamoss juice.
Share your favorite foodie spot in comments below. 👇🏽

Kingston Vegans: Want to Get Involved in Animal Advocacy?

Hi everyone!

I’m helping launch the new We The Free Kingston chapter, and I wanted to share an opportunity for anyone interested in getting involved in local animal advocacy.

We The Free is an animal advocacy organization focused on public outreach, community-building, and helping people think more critically about our treatment of animals. You can learn more about the organization here:
https://www.activism.wtf/

In Kingston, we’re hoping to build a group interested in activities like:
- casual outreach events, including the “video challenge” format
- monthly social/community events
- low-pressure ways to meet other people interested in animal advocacy
- flexible volunteering depending on your comfort level and availability

The video challenge is a short outreach format where members of the public are invited to watch a brief video and reflect on it afterward. You can see more about it here:
https://3minutes.wtf/ideas
https://3movies.wtf/IDEAS

We also have a Kingston chapter Facebook group here:
https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1EcQmn15HZ/

We’re hoping to start with a couple of casual social events so people can meet each other before doing more structured outreach. No prior advocacy experience is needed, just an interest in helping animals and building community!

Feel free to join the Facebook group or message me if you’re interested!
