Demo

Hey guys,

I wanna try out the demo with my lady, but wondering if the world can be made custom with different settings on it?

Thank you!

Trading

Does anyone know if there is an option to trade in any of the maps? Scavenging in the game you find money and debit cards, so there is a cash system in the game.. or is this something that will be in the game at a later date?

Maybe a Naive Question...

Can I ask why the majority of players choose to make their bases in barns, warehouses, industrial buildings, rather than houses?

I'm just genuinely curious about the perks to making a base in those venues.

Thank you!!

Apple Trees

I understand I need to keep them watered to produce fruit. Do I need to keep them watered to keep them alive? I have an abundance of food and don't need to keep harvesting apples. Thanks in advance.

High performance server for RP

Hey everybody, I am looking for 24 players to join me on my new server. This server includes a full altered map of different object placed areas to make the world feel more alive. As well as lore / hidden areas to explore. I am continually adding more each day. This game save I have over 100.00 hours in. If anyone is interested in contributing to the project and would like to join me let me know in the comments and I’ll add you on steam.

Also, this server includes a high performance gateway server that I have at my house. Meaning more zombies, more smoother performance for anyone connecting!

Enjoying the game, wish there were objectives to achieve

I have been enjoying the game and also feel a little lost.

I don’t usually play games like this. I love playing games with heavy story and objectives to complete. This is very new to me, so I feel bit unsure of what to do.

Wish there was something that showed me a list of objectives I could do. I know this is a play how you want kind of game, so a list of things to do would be a nice optional thing to have.

Completing tasks and checking boxes is something I enjoy. I don’t really know what to do next in the game. I’m flying by the seat of my pants and it feels overwhelming to me.

I saw on the roadmap that NPC quests is something intended for the future. Which sounds fun too.

Can I redo my character customization without losing my save?

Is there a way to redo the character customization for a character I've already created without losing my save data or progress?

I only want to change the character's appearance, not start over with a new character.

Is the game at the point where you can craft absolutely everything you need if it comes down to it?

It's been about 6 or so months since I last played and I really enjoyed the game but I wanted to take a break after playing a while to wait for the game to progress more.

One thing I was hoping would eventually happen is being able to craft every tool or material you might need in the game or at least a craftable variation of every tool or material. I noticed that when playing without item respawning, you can completely lose access to certain tools, especially hydraulic tools, rather quickly.

Is there a way to full 'live off the land', so to speak, in longer term games without fully losing access to certain things?

Vein tips I wish I knew before starting

These are a few things I've picked up on my journey:

  1. You can destroy haystacks to get hay. It is food and light to carry.

  2. You can connect several sinks together to get water from a water tower to your base.

  3. Solar panels will run everything in your base.

  4. One well connected to your sprinkler system will run your sprinklers 24/7 and never run dry.

  5. Knee pads can be found in sports lockers, they are lower body armor.

  6. Rifle and pistol suppressors won't attract hordes like a loud gun will.

  7. Carry a generator on your vehicle to power things. (air tires, heat or air in building, lights)

  8. West and south areas on map have everything you will ever need, base build accordingly.

  9. Cut down trees that overhang on roads so that they don't knock things off your vehicle.

  10. BEST base you can build will be a building with air conditioning and heat. It will get you through summer and winter by using solar panels. You can connect to a water tower (no matter the distance) to your base and always have water because it doesn't freeze in winter.

Wiring issue

Me and my dad made a save where we set up a base at Outpost alpha and tried to wire up the electrical system but I don't seem to be able to wire the solar panels that I got from saranac. I've tried an electrical extender and battery bank to try and fix the issue or at least figure out the power routing so that the junction box is receiving power from the solar panels but none of it seems to be working. Can someone help me figure out how to fix this issue? It's making me upset. Ps. There is a generator right next to the junction box that I have tried wiring the solar panels through and that didn't work either. So far the only way to get power to the base is to use fuel in the generator.
