Bye bye Elections

First time successfully going down the dark path and suspending elections, however, despite keeping the revolution meter at 0/100 they revolted and I was removed from office at the age of 46.

Got caught texting in class in 1979

I understand that the screenshot indicates the year 1976, but that was the most recent occurrence. However, if we consider my current age of 13, and the fact that the event took place when I was 10, it would actually be 1979 instead of 1976.

3.72 VERDANT - ON THE WAY

3.72 is on its way to both stores — 27 fixes and upgrades, and almost every single one traces back to a report from this sub or the Discord. This is the "you told us, we fixed it" update. Thank you.

🌍 Emigration finally shows you your points

The system was always deep — you just couldn't see it. Now:

  • The apply screen shows "Your points today: 52/70" with exactly which levers are weak and how to strengthen them, before you commit
  • While your application pends, the passport card shows the full per-lever breakdown, live every year
  • Refused? The letter now tells you your score and precisely what fell short — no more guessing
  • Study real languages — the Language Class now opens a picker (Japanese, Spanish, anything) and feeds your migration language score. A Modern Languages degree counts too
  • Passports at 16, and solo emigration at 16-17 on a student visa — visit first, show tuition funds
  • To the posters who kept pushing on this system: this whole section exists because of you

💀 The death screen got a rebuild

Clean estate rows, business legacies with valuations in gold, and giant fortunes now read "12.59T" instead of a 14-digit number clipping off the screen. And to the poster who asked "how does 40% of 62 become 57?" — you were right, the label was lying. Normal estates pay your country's real rate (nothing at all in the UAE, 40% top rate in the UK); colossal estates hit the anti-dynasty mega-estate duty, and the death screen now says so with the real effective rate.

💰 To our trillionaires: impressive. Also, over.

We read the write-up. It was genuinely brilliant. It's also patched:

  • Market concentration caps — no more swallowing an entire market's liquidity
  • Real borrow costs on whale positions
  • Randomised mean-reversion — the timing exploit is gone
  • Fraud now has an annual budget

Trillionaire is supposed to be crazy hard. It is again.

🛠 And 20+ of your most-reported bugs

  • Taps always answer — no more double-charged check-ups or actions that silently did nothing
  • Your partner's bond updates the moment you act (no more tab-switching to see the number move)
  • Closing your YouTube channel actually closes it (closed channels were secretly still earning six figures a year)
  • Day-job criminals get their empire menu back
  • The bug-report ladybug stays out of your money stat — it stops right under the header, exactly where you asked
  • Pinch-to-zoom works on the live market chart
  • The "self-employed internship" is now a proper Trade Apprenticeship at Millhaven Trades Guild (mid-programme saves update themselves)
  • Emoji no longer peek out from behind family portraits, "a friend for life" actually joins your friends list, raises stick, paid rent rises display, and more
  • Android: the game no longer draws under the status bar or the navigation buttons

Availability: Android is rolling out now; iOS is in review and should land within a day

Found something broken? The 🐞 button in-game sends us your save directly — most of this update started exactly that way. Keep them coming.

Private jets in new World update.

Game states in multiple places that if you have a private jet you are unlimited in the amount of flights you can take, but the 2 vacation per year limit still prevents you from traveling beyond this number — even when using your own plane.

Just enjoy the game. And don’t forget to report the bugs. Thanks

To the new players, please stop trying to make the game like BitLife. It’s not. It’s better.

Let the developer finalise the political hustle and sports hustle.

It’s literally one guy doing all of this.

Thank you for your attention to this matter

Big thanks!

I express my great gratitude to the developer for coming back with the game update! Respect and love to you, bro! But in my opinion, you made too realistic emigration😂 It is simply impossible to move to another country, even if you have been learning the language for several years, you have millions of dollars in your account and university education, and even if the character is invited as an athlete to play for foreign teams - the character does not change the country of residence🥲 In general, the mechanics are not very prudent still

VERDANT — The World Update (v3.7 · shows as 3.71 on iOS)

The One new headline feature, a travel system rebuilt from the ground up, and over 150 bug fixes — including the most-reported bugs in the game's history. Here's everything.

🌍 NEW: Emigration — live your life anywhere

You can now leave your birth country and build a life abroad. This isn't a menu toggle — it's a full system:

63 countries to move to, each with its own visa routes, points test, costs, language, culture, and tax system. Apply through the Passport tab, get scored against your real life (age, money, education, job, family), and get accepted, rejected, or offered a lesser route.

Life abroad is a life. Three settlement meters — Language, Network, Belonging — grow through what you actually do: study the language, build your circle, join local life. Let them idle and they decay; homesickness bites.

The meters pay off. High Network gets you job introductions and a real pay bump. High Belonging brings friends, romance prospects, housing credit and locals' prices instead of tourist prices.

Living in-country teaches the language — immersion scales with your Network. And your kids? A child born abroad grows up local.

270+ migration events — border interviews, visa scares, the 3am "your interview is TODAY" panic, blend-in moments, all with real choices that have real consequences. No cosmetic buttons.

Every country has its own local life. "Enjoy local life" draws from your country's actual catalogue — ramen counters in Japan, Sunday asado in Argentina — not a generic list.

562 festivals, customs and taboos now fire. Join the local festival or skip it, learn the customs, stumble into a taboo early on (it fades as your language and years there grow).

The world is alive. Every country's economy and stability drift year to year — booms and recessions change your pay, the cost band changes your yearly bills, instability brings rare shocks. Your destination in year 10 is not the country you landed in.

Home never disappears. Fly home for a visit (and choose what the visit is about — family, old friends, your roots), or make the standing decision to return home for good — a real relocation, not an event you have to get lucky and roll.

Heritage carries down the bloodline — and the bloodline speaks. Born with roots in another country? You're told at birth. At 18, the game reminds you that country's door is open, with an ancestry route to citizenship in the World tab. Children and grandchildren inherit a head start in the old country's language, eased cultural distance, and citizenship claims generations later — in every family line, migrant or not.

The hard roads exist too: overstaying a visa and living undocumented, marriage-visa scrutiny, pensions paid from your origin country, and a migrant's story scored in your legacy at the end.

Leaving costs something. Long-distance relationships decay. Children you uproot — or leave behind — remember it.

Under-16s can't emigrate solo; 16–17 needs an assisted route.

Work papers matter — like real life. A skilled or investor visa IS a work visa. A family visa lets you live there, not work — buy the work permit first. Undocumented? No employer will touch you; cash work is all that's left.

The right careers move with you. Tech, finance, medicine, engineering and science jobs can transfer abroad when the destination's economy supports it — and the game warns you before you apply what emigrating means for your job, either way.

Your old house doesn't forget you left. Every property now shows the country it was bought in. Emigrate and you stop "living" in the home you left behind — but deep-clean and furnish it, and it becomes an Airbnb you manage from the travel screen.

✈️ NEW: The airport

Travel is no longer a list of trip packages — it's a departures board. Pick the country first, like booking a real flight.

Four cabins: Economy, Business, First Class, and Private. First is ×6 the fare and genuinely ultra-luxury.

NEW: Private jets. Buy one in the Mall or the Vehicles hangar and the board offers "Switch to your jet" — or hit 🛫 Fly Abroad right on the hangar card. Unlimited trips, bring anyone for free — but you pay fuel per flight hour and yearly hangar + upkeep, all disclosed before you buy. Can't cover the upkeep? The bank forces the sale, at a loss.

NEW: The routes rotate. Ten destinations fly each year, changing annually — your jet ignores the rotation and flies all 26, always.

NEW: In-flight moments. Champagne at altitude, the scenic loop over the Alps, ten minutes at the controls, the seat-kicking child in economy — real choices with real mood effects, on every kind of flight. No more "landed, refresh."

Fares are ×3 across the board. Flying used to be pocket change; now a holiday is a decision.

NEW: The postcard album. Every country you visit earns a postcard in your Passport tab — 26 to collect, and the rotation makes it a real chase.

Travel moved to the World hub — it's a life decision now, not a night out.

👪 FIXED: Family & generations

Continuing a life as your heir was quietly broken in a dozen ways. All fixed:

Your heir's siblings actually exist on the People tab now — and heirs stop inheriting an invented family (a fabricated second parent, wrong grandparent labels, made-up step-typing).

Artworks, antiques and your private jet now pass to the next generation — the will finally carries the collection, not just the cash. (Yes, Reddit, we saw the "Brotherrrrrr" post.)

A dead parent is no longer filed under "Others" with your colleagues, doesn't offer live actions from beyond the grave, and a dead spouse can no longer be romanced — the game now tells you clearly they've passed (with a proper pop-up, not a toast).

Siblings, grandchildren, friends and partners now get names that match their gender (no more brothers named Susan), friends have genders and portraits, and both parents no longer read as identical people.

The Family tab and People tab finally agree about your nieces.

Kids' surnames stop being silently rewritten to a step-parent's on load.

💰 Economy & balance

The money ceiling is now £9 QUADRILLION. You asked for the next step after trillion — the Q tier is here. (£9Q is the edge of what the engine can count exactly, so every pound still counts at the top.)

Estate tax is real now: progressive rates plus country-specific inheritance tax — the infinite dynasty-wealth snowball is over. A mega-estate backstop catches the billionaires.

Market manipulation by the ultra-wealthy hardened (~100× harder), era wages capped at 25×, inflation capped consistently everywhere.

Rent can actually rise again (a maths bug froze it at zero forever), and rent adjustment stops silently confiscating your rent.

Savings interest shown on the Finance tab is the number that actually arrives.

You can finally CLOSE a credit card. Pay it off, cut it up, free the slot — then apply fresh at today's score for the limit you deserve. Closing an old account dings your credit a few points, like real life. (No more being stuck forever with the 35% APR starter card you got at 18.)

Self-assessment tax no longer destroys money above £500bn, and the year-end weed sweep can't drive your new year's income negative.

💼 Careers

The job board stopped hiding whole industries. You told us finance jobs were nearly impossible to find — the yearly board now guarantees every industry a seat, every year. Roles you don't qualify for yet still show, locked, with exactly what's missing.

The retirement offer can't be silently lost anymore, the pension pays what it promised, and your veteran title names the career you actually had.

Ex-military careers no longer freeze at "0 years" for life.

Career actions grant the stat they advertise; promotions on £0 salary stop claiming you're "at the top of the pay band."

Children are no longer silently assigned jobs by the career self-heal.

Abandoning a renegotiation no longer strands you with no career actions, and one wrong tap on the F1 prompt no longer locks you out of every hustle.

🎬 Fame, arts & side hustles

Side hustles stopped disappearing from the tab (and an abandoned entertainment career can't hijack it).

Writers: the vanished "Start New Book" button, the frozen "held manuscript," the burnt-out dead-end with no options — all fixed. The indie revenue cap is the advertised one.

Followers no longer bleed away in total silence — you're told why.

Audience trust can actually recover now, a famous actor finally counts as famous to the cult gate, and the manga resume event stops spamming your life log.

The Sable exchange rate no longer collapses to its floor.

⚖️ Crime & prison

NEW: Growers for hire. Hundreds of plants and two hands? The weed hustle now lets you put your hired growers to work on the grow op — they harvest ready plants and replant your best strain on their own each year, up to their skill capacity. Toggle the crew's auto-tend on or off any time; anything past their capacity still needs YOUR hands.

The RICO seizure that never let go — fixed. Parole no longer tells a prisoner "Not in prison."

Weed dealing tells you where the money actually went, and the crime gates say which money they're checking.

Heat now comes with an explanation.

🏛️ Politics opened its doors — and got a full overhaul

Anyone can stand for office now — age 18 and a nomination deposit, exactly like real life. The degree, stat and experience requirements are gone. The climb from Councillor to PM is still every bit the fight it should be, and a legal or government background gives you a genuine head start.

The promotion wall is down. You told us you were stuck at MP for decades — we found why. Campaign actions (including fundraising) no longer vanish after your first election, the loyalty requirements make sense now, and scandals actually resolve instead of silently haunting your approval forever.

Scandals are real now — they build, hit the press, and end careers (or get survived). Rig elections on the dark path and the rigging can actually leak. Suspend elections and there genuinely are no more elections — just a country deciding how it feels about that.

Allies can be recruited, supporting them finally builds your party standing, politicians earn honest side income (speeches, columns, board seats), and a politician with a criminal past can finally reach the wind-down button on their old empire.

NEW: Six political moves that were promised but never built — Fundraise, Constituency Work, Attack a Rival, Leak to the Press, Diplomacy, and Governance are real buttons now, each with costs, limits and consequences. Survive enough leadership challenges and the no-confidence milestone is finally reachable. Every button on the political ladder does what it says.

🖥️ Interface & quality of life

Switch layouts in one tap — a 🔀 Layout button now sits on the rail next to More. Simple hubs or the classic 18 tabs, your call, any time.

47% of world events printed the literal word "undefined." Gone — along with every other "undefined" in the life log.

Saves screen lag killed — save storage rewritten per-slot, and big saves shrank by ~half.

"Start a New Life" can no longer delete a saved life without warning.

Buttons can't be text-selected instead of pressed, the work menu stops hanging off the bottom of the screen, the life-log filter stops dumping you at age 0, and the money tile no longer splits a negative balance across two lines.

The Belongings mall now tells you what an item does before you buy it.

The school menu charges the price it quotes. The Try-for-Baby menus agree with each other. Your dog knows more than one trick after the eighth. The football club you bought actually shows up. Smarts explains why it keeps falling past 70. Trust meter's visible. Screen Presence shows its /100.

A crash mid-year can no longer disable the age button with no way back, and a straight-A student stops being told they were held back.

35 missing name pools added — a character born in Kenya is no longer called Nigel Robinson.

Events can finally move Reputation and Charisma (the only two stats they couldn't touch).

A minor can no longer be matched with adult dating prospects — and single players 30+ get an era-appropriate dating route.

---

Fixed across 30 days of full-time bug-hunting after work against 600+ player reports from the Discord bug channel and Reddit. If you reported something — thank you; there's a good chance your save file is the reason it's fixed. Keep them coming.

How does 40% of 62 become 57?

Hi dev, I was just asking that the inheritance tax percentage be reduced and then the strangest thing happened.
