VERDANT 3.8 UPDATE CHANGELOG AND RELEASE DATE

Release Dates :

ANDROID - RELEASED ALREADY

IOS - SEP 30TH - OCT 1ST

WEB - OCT 1ST -OCT 2ND

3.80 we are so close to 4.0, this update is very special to me as we finally have sound tracks and audio as well as the social aspect of life i have touched on greatly but will still need some improvement

❤️ Living People: the people in your life finally feel alive

Everyone in your life now has a memory, and it shapes how they treat you.

  • They remember. Parents, siblings, partners, children and friends keep their own record of your life together: the time you showed up for them, the birthday you missed, the loan you never paid back, the fight you never apologized for.
  • Grudges and forgiveness. A real betrayal can turn into a grudge that lasts years. Mending it takes effort, and sometimes they never fully let it go.
  • People want things from you. Friends ask for favors, family ask for help, partners ask for commitment. Saying yes or no has real consequences.
  • Partners have their own lives. Their love for you rises and falls on its own, and it isn't always equal to yours. They have jobs, incomes and homes. Affairs, confessions and forgiveness play out properly.
  • You're in control. Life events that used to decide things for you are now your choice.

⭐ Fame: become a star

Fame is no longer a number tucked away in one career. It's one fame bar that runs through your whole life, and nearly everything you do can feed it.

How it works

  • Everything counts. Acting, directing, music, sport (football, tennis, fighting), writing, manga, social media, politics, running a restaurant or a law firm, building a business empire, even crime: every career adds to your audience. Juggle several at once and your fame compounds.
  • Climb the ladder: Unknown → Local Name → Well Known → Famous → Superstar → Icon → Immortal. Each step up is a moment, and Immortal is the rarest thing Verdant can produce.
  • Beloved or notorious. Your public image has its own direction. Charity and good deeds make the public adore you; scandals and bad behavior make you infamous. Both are fame, and they play very differently.
  • Life in the spotlight. Paparazzi, tabloid stories, scandals, cancellations, court cases: the higher you climb, the more the world watches.
  • The fall and the comeback. Fame fades if you stop working for it, and a big scandal can knock you right down. But you can step back, go dark and stage a comeback, and the second climb is faster.
  • It follows your family. Children of famous parents start life with a head start of their own. Your legacy carries on.
  • It connects to everything. Fame boosts your social media reach, brings brand deals and opens doors across your careers.

🎬 A whole new acting career

  • A yearly Jobs Board full of roles, from small parts to leading roles in big productions
  • Negotiate your contracts, and shoot up to three films at once
  • Hire an agent and train with named acting coaches
  • Make decisions on set, build chemistry with co-stars, and see how critics and audiences rate your work
  • Run awards campaigns and chase the biggest prizes in the industry

🎥 Your own Film & TV Director career
From age 18, step behind the camera:

  • Develop your own projects: films and TV series
  • Cast them, shoot them and take them to their premiere
  • Build a track record, grow your reputation and run your own studio

🛍️ Your own merch store
Once you're Well Known, open your own e-commerce store:

  • Design it your way, with colours, banners, even a banner you draw yourself
  • Launch product drops and hire marketing
  • The more famous you are, the more it sells, so your fame turns straight into a business

👑 Verdant Life VIP

One pass to every expansion. Verdant Life VIP unlocks the Fame Pack and every expansion pack released after it, all in one purchase. Every future expansion is yours the moment it launches, with nothing extra to buy. You'll find it in the Shop under Best Deals.

🎵 Sound & Music: Verdant finally has a voice

For the first time, Verdant has full sound and music, and it's on as soon as you open the game.

  • Music runs throughout your life and changes with the mood: calm at home, tense when things go wrong, big when you hit a milestone.
  • Over 150 sound effects for everything you do: aging up, achievements, buying, selling, relationships, crashes, celebrations and more.
  • The moments land. Hitting your first million, getting married, a big win or a heartbreak finally sounds like the moment it is.
  • Your choice. Turn sound effects and music on or off, and set their volume, in Settings.

🧑 A brand-new look for every character

Every person in Verdant, from you to your family, partners, kids and friends, has been redrawn from the ground up.

  • New pixel-art faces with more detail, more personality and more variety than ever.
  • The hair glitch is gone. Hair that sat wrong, clipped through heads or changed between screens has been reworked and fixed at the root, so your character looks the same everywhere.
  • 25 new hairstyles, including a big set of textured styles: fades, twists, bantu knots, afro puffs, locs buns, high tops, waves, frohawks and more.

🌃 A real social life

  • Full dates. Every kind of date can be played out: how you arrive, what you do, what you talk about, a surprise moment and how the night ends. Each choice has many possible reactions, based on your stats and their personality, so no two dates feel the same.
  • Nights out. Go clubbing, to the pub, a cocktail bar, a restaurant or a gig, alone, with friends or with your partner. Get past the club door (or get turned away), then hit the dance floor, bar, smoking area or VIP. Every night ends with a card showing what happened.
  • Spark, the dating app. Conversations now build over several sittings, with replies that depend on who they are and how you've come across. Matches can warm up, go cold, unmatched you or block you. Ask them out, or invite them over.
  • Hookups (18+). Consent-based and fade-to-black, with real consequences the morning after.
  • Living together. Move into your partner's place or rent one together, choose how to split the bills, and share the mortgage when you're married.

💎 The Gem & Jeweler business

A complete business you can grow from a bedroom to a legendary jeweler House.

  • The Dealer. Buy stones of different grades and haggle for a better price; he might counter or walk away. Every stone has its own carat, grade and value.
  • The Bench. Choose what to make (rings, engagement rings, necklaces, pendants, earrings, bracelets, chains, even grills), then place each stone exactly where you want it. Work with gold, silver and platinum by the gram. A timed cut can go perfectly or crack a stone. Every piece comes out Rough, Fine, Masterwork or Legendary.
  • Designs. Discover lost designs by experimenting, pick up patterns from a rotating Pattern Market, or save your own recipes and batch-craft them.
  • Your Store. Open a shop, name it, stock the shelf from your vault, price each piece against the market and watch walk-in customers buy (or walk out). It tallies your profit on every item.
  • Selling. Sell to walk-ins, at your counter, wholesale in bulk, or at live auctions where you watch the bids climb.
  • Mines. Stake claims from small alluvial pits to huge open mines. Hire crews who bring up hundreds or thousands of stones a year, and choose which grades to keep.
  • Grow it. Upgrade from your Room to a Stall to your own House, expand your vault, level up your skills and build your legacy.

🏠 Running your life

  • Property Manager: hire an agent to find tenants, handle repairs and collect rent across your properties
  • Vehicle Agent: servicing, renting out and selling your cars
  • Wills: split your estate between children and grandchildren
  • Finances now show every source of income

✨ A smoother, more adjustable game

  • Adjust the screen to how you play.
    • Stats panel: choose from four sizes, and pin it so it stays on screen while you scroll.
    • Menus: switch any tab between Normal and Tall to see more at once.
    • Log: resize the age-up log to your liking.
  • Smoother interface throughout: cleaner stat bars and chips, less wasted space, and quicker navigation.
  • Switching UI no longer loses your progress
  • YouTube and OnlyFans are no longer side hustles. They now live in Social Media, and you can run them alongside any job or career.
  • A new review screen that's quicker and friendlier
  • A tutorial for your first life, so new players know where everything is

⚖️ Economy & Balance: no more free money

We've closed the biggest money exploits so success feels earned, and a billion means something again.

📈 Stocks & crypto have real limits now

  • Every company and coin has a finite supply. Big steady companies and ETFs have 1,000,000 shares, speculative stocks and IPOs have 500,000, and crypto uses the coin's real supply (Bitcoin: 21 million).
  • You can own at most 49% of any company or coin. Trust-fund shares count too.
  • Only so much is for sale each year. Other investors sell between 10% and 25% of the supply a year, and that's all you can buy.
  • The bigger your stake, the more they charge you. Buying a huge chunk costs you more per share.
  • Old saves: any stake over 49% is sold back at today's price, and you keep the cash.
  • Crypto coins that die stay dead, and portfolios can no longer grow past the game's wealth limit.

💸 Other exploits closed

  • Indie game back catalogues no longer earn endless money forever. Yearly earnings are capped.
  • Used-car flipping is gone: buying a cheap used car and instantly reselling it for profit no longer works.
  • Mined gems can't be dumped on the dealer for unlimited tax-free cash. There's a yearly limit, and sales are taxed.
  • Crafting jewellery at the start can't print money. You have to learn the trade first.
  • Dates can't be farmed for instant attraction. There's a cap on how much a single date can win someone over.

🔧 Bug Fixes

  • The character hair glitch has been fixed. Hair no longer clips, shifts or changes between screens.
  • Switching between UIs no longer sends you back a year. Your age, money and progress stay exactly where you left them.
  • New lives no longer start with fame they didn't earn. A new character no longer shows "Local Name" before they've done anything.
  • Fame now shows correctly: no more "Local Name · 0" when you have no audience.
  • Finances now list every income source. Gem sales, OnlyFans and YouTube business earnings were being paid but not shown.
  • Leaving your estate to a grandchild works properly. Part of the inheritance used to go missing.
  • Tenants who were told to leave now actually leave, instead of staying in your property forever without paying.
  • Rental properties stay on the market when a tenant moves out, instead of quietly coming off it.
  • Renting a flat after living with your parents now charges the real rent, not your old parent bills.
  • Deleting your YouTube account now takes you back to Social Media, instead of leaving you stuck on the deleted channel.
  • Jewellery sales are taxed on your profit, not the full sale price.
  • The Bench no longer pushes your stones down the screen as you add them.
  • Smoother, more responsive interface with fewer layout jumps across the game
  • Many balance, stability and display fixes across careers, money, relationships and the gem business.

What do yall think I’m personally gonna consider this a success over 100players came out to playe the multiplayer mode and I appreciate it’s so much

This is the base of my multiplayer mode I’m gonna run this server hopefully the entire month and I promise you by end of this year yall are gonna be hooked on online mode and offline mode, it’s a lot more weight on me but I’ll do it.

I take all suggestions and all comments into account and I move accordingly.

The online mode needs wayyyyyyy more content for players and especially the less fortunate on the server which will all come in due time and the minor bugs will be tuned out

VERDANT LIFE MULTIPLAYER IS LIVE FOR TESTING !!!!

I’ve been building an online version of Verdant Life for months now while working on the one you guys know and love verdant life online is where players share a city and work toward building their own lives, businesses, and fortunes.
Verdant Bay is now open for early web testing, and I would love for you to come explore it.
Here’s what you can do:
Build your career: Get a job, study, earn qualifications, and work toward better pay.
Own a piece of the city: Explore the interactive map, buy land, and develop properties.
Run businesses: Choose suppliers and products, set prices, manage stock, hire staff, and advertise.
Trade and invest: Buy and sell with other players and explore the stock exchange.
Meet your neighbors: Add friends, chat in Town Square, and see what other residents are building.
Our aim is a connected, player-driven economy. We want location, pricing, quality, and business decisions to matter. Someone’s factory could supply another player’s store. A growing neighborhood could create an opportunity for a new business. Players should have different ways to succeed—and reasons to interact.
We’re still shaping that experience. This is an early test, with bugs to fix and plenty of balancing ahead. We especially want to hear what feels fun, what feels confusing, and what would make you want to return.

It may be confusing at first but Ik you guys have it enjoy and feel free to shoot suggestions for it because this is part of the verdant life future

VERDANT LIFE 3.73 out on Android soon on iOS

Hey everyone. Solo dev here.

THE OWNER'S UPDATE - (3.73)
(It's a lot to read so again | just want to say thanks to all supporters in all ways, emails, donations, buying in game stuff and recommendations, I love you all and I hope I keep doing my best to not disappoint) have fun and remember any bugs report with the bug button ❤️

This is the biggest update VERDANT has ever had — and the longest changelog I've ever written, so grab a cup of something.

The headline: you can now own and run a football club, top to bottom — boardroom, money, squad, matches. Or skip the suit and play the game yourself, from schoolyard kickabouts at age 8 to the World Cup, with fully animated live matches.

Just as important: a huge share of this update is your bug reports — many quoted word for word in my notes ("HUH???????????" made it into the tracker verbatim). If you reported something, there's a very good chance it's fixed below. Thank you, genuinely — this game gets better because you tell me where it's broken.

Both stores are rolling this out now — it's version 3.73 (the iOS App Store lists it as 3.74 for technical reasons; same update).
⸻
TL;DR

Own a football club: a full boardroom — squad, contracts, transfers, managers, formations, academy, and the club now plays in the real league with real consequences.
Run the club's money: free ticket pricing, marketing, shirt sponsors, TV deals, naming rights, rentable venues up to 500,000 seats — and finances that finally add up.
Or play: school football from age 8, a rebuilt Match Day engine with real players, playable World Cup runs, and a pack of new career events.
A bigger world: Indonesia is playable, 13,500 authentic names across all 63 countries, emigrate anywhere with no visit required, and onward migration to a third country.
Your saves are safer: starting a new life no longer deletes your old one, popups survive closing the app, and saves are ~30% smaller.
Fairness: the art and real-estate trillionaire exploits, the credit-score farm, the £149M wage loop and more are closed — and dozens of dead buttons you reported now actually work.
Android in-app purchases are fixed. If purchases were failing for you, this update resolves it.
⸻
⚽ OWN A FOOTBALL CLUB

The Boardroom: run your club from one room. Invest, withdraw, hire the manager, fund the academy, set budgets, sell the club. Players sign real contracts (2, 3 or 5 years, visible wages); at expiry, renew at a premium or release on a free. A dozen scouted names, and the squad screen shows the positions your XI still needs.
Your club now lives in the real league — money included. Owned clubs ran a hidden parallel mini-league that decided income and printed fake CHAMPIONS headlines contradicting the actual table. Now results drive the money, promotion raises your revenue base, dashboards show your true position, and there are no phantom trophies.
Formations, pinned starters, and a bench. Five classic shapes (4-4-2, 4-3-3, 3-5-2, 5-3-2, 4-5-1); pin a player into the XI over a higher-rated teammate, or mark someone NOT PLAYING. The match fields the exact eleven you set; naming a full XI earns a small yearly boost.
Star players bring their fans with them. Every player has a popularity level (star badge on the scout list). Sign a superstar and thousands of new fans follow, plus a shirt-sales windfall; a squad-filler brings pocket change.
Your signings no longer vanish overnight. The world's transfer market was quietly poaching players you'd just signed. An owner-run squad now only moves through your own boardroom.
Manager offers rotate yearly and lock in when you hire. No more salaries reshuffling on every menu open: each season is a fixed slate at fixed prices, set in stone once hired.
Your squad survives moving countries. Emigrating, returning, or inheriting used to reset paid-for signings to their old clubs; your contracted players now come with you.
Selling your club actually ends the reign. No more post-sale boardroom access selling players into a black hole. All owner doors close on sale; buy the club back and control returns.
You can't release your club down to nothing. Releasing out-of-contract players now respects the 3-player core floor selling always did.
Child heirs can't loot an inherited club. An 8-year-old heir could drain the war chest and sell the squad. Inherited clubs are held in trust until 18 — the heir can watch matches, but the levers are frozen.
A club parked abroad tells you so — an honest banner instead of a door that just refused you.
No more Expand Stadium button on a club that doesn't own one. The stadium is its own business; squad, budget, and pricing run from the boardroom.

💷 RUN THE MONEY

Set any ticket price you want. A free slider, £1 to £100,000 a seat (type anything beyond). Real elasticity: dear seats earn more per head but thin the crowd; cheap seats fill the place.
A marketing budget that grows your fanbase. Spend any amount per year, with diminishing returns; a winning team's marketing goes further. The readout shows what you get back.
Shirt sponsorship deals. Three suitors a year with 1, 3, and 5-year offers scaling with popularity, division, and form — thousands from a local firm, tens of millions from a global giant. Longer terms pay more but lock you in.
Negotiate your own TV deal. 1, 3, or 5-year terms; top-flight clubs draw the big multipliers, league position decides the rest. Non-league clubs have no TV rights — climb the pyramid first.
Rent a giant venue — up to 500,000 seats. A ladder of venues from 20,000 to 500,000 seats, rents up to £550M/yr. The first year's rent is charged upfront, and empty seats still cost you — renting too big is a genuine way to lose money.
Crowds come from your fans, not your seat count. A 100,000-seat venue with 40,000 fans used to fill 80,000 seats from thin air. Attendance is now the share of your following that turns up — and you learn the crowd on the day, in the season's money report.
Fans react to your prices and your results. Satisfaction rides your ticket price and your real league finish — no more title wins with a hidden dice roll telling your fans it was a mid-table year.
Club finances that finally add up. The season money card showed numbers that didn't reconcile, and a dividend that silently vanished. It's now a full waterfall — every income line, the league-finish adjustment, wages, your dividend with tax, what the club keeps — plus per-fixture profit and a year-by-year ledger.
Sell your club's naming rights — permanently. The sponsor's name replaces your club's everywhere, forever — a one-time sale with a clear PERMANENT warning, paying a huge lump sum now capped at £1B. The confusing duplicate stadium-naming option is gone.
Club debt is real now. Negative balances were quietly zeroed every year — massive squads were effectively free. Debt now stays on the books, danger included.
Club at a glance. One panel: fanbase, popularity, capacity and expected fill, satisfaction, and live rows for ticket price, marketing, sponsor, and TV deal.
Stadium profit analytics. Yearly and lifetime income, spend, and profit, with profit/loss bars — and owning a stadium opens the boardroom even without a club.
Investing in your club now says your club's name — not "Invested £300.0M into Sports Club".

🥅 OR PLAY THE GAME YOURSELF

Grow up with a ball: playable school football from age 8. Ages 8–15 get a school football life — skill grows each season, plus THREE fully playable matches (age 10, the county cup at 13, trial day at 15) against real classmate teams. Impress the scout for an academy trial; graduate and that academy signs you, with an ability boost.
Match Day v2: a real football sim, not a highlight reel. Full engine rewrite: a ball-carrier who dribbles and gets pressed, tackle duels with genuine turnovers, real passing, attacks that drive into the box and shoot at an actual goal mouth — rippling nets, keeper dives, shots off the post. Your timing-tap finish plays out on the pitch.
The players on the pitch are the real players. Every match fields each club's actual best XI — real names, real ratings — each man playing to his attributes: strikers shoot better than they defend, the fastest player moves fastest. YOU are inserted with your exact stats and a white identity ring, and when a goal is yours, you finish it.
NEW: Play the biggest match of your season. Your biggest flagged match — a title decider, a derby — offers itself once: Play, Watch, or Skip. An animated pitch, both XIs in kit colours, real crests, a live feed, speed controls. In Play mode the tap decides how your goals go in, never whether.
The World Cup is a MOMENT now — play every match. No more a stack of log lines: every World Cup match you're in plays out in the full viewer — nation kits and crests, national XIs, a gold marquee, your goals delivered through the whole knockout run.
The World Cup pays. Each World Cup goal pays a bonus, on top of the win bonus. Own a club and World Cup years bring a Club Benefits payment for every international-quality player on your books.
Ten new football career events — and more per season. Penalty duty, boots thrown to the stands, the hometown call, the autobiography offer, a tabloid sting, a hospital visit, red mist in training, an injection temptation, a rookie in your shadow, the Tuesday screamer. The event budget grew so a season actually breathes.
Clubs stop asking you to sign every single year. New deals were wiped back to "expired" each age-up. Contracts now tick down properly (4→3→2→1); the final-year bidding war and free agency still happen.
Footballers get paid again. Wages, endorsements, the season itself could silently die mid-year — one player had £24.6M/yr on paper and negative wealth in hand. The money, the season, and Match Day all flow again.
Start a football career even if you have a job. Employed adults couldn't see the way in — and the old path quit your day job before checking you'd be accepted. The door shows for everyone and only quits your job once every check passes.
The shooting zone is honest — skill decides its size. It sat at 50–95% for everyone; now it runs 13% for a beginner to 70% for an elite finisher, and the card names the stats that move it.
Leaving a match early no longer voids the result. Leave mid-match used to throw away appearances, goals, trial verdicts — and could freeze a World Cup run. The result banks even if you walk out.
You can finally hire a sports agent. The whole agent system — tiers, fees, even the "you need a bigger agent" taunt — existed with zero ways to hire one. Footballer and basketball panels now have a Hire Agent button.
You can only retire once. No more re-pressing Retire to re-bank the rewards — the ceremony pays exactly once.
The retired footballer's card is honest. Gone: the wall of dead buttons, the agent still charging a finished career, the Pause on nothing.
The champion stays on the table it won. Final tables are frozen at the whistle — a promoted champion no longer vanishes from the table it just won.
The trial looks like a trial, not the World Cup — your signing-day audition drops the gold WORLD CUP banner and giant crowd for its own audition banner.
Backing out of trial day no longer freezes your side hustle. Choosing Not Today never lifted the pause on your other hustle. Walking away now wakes what was paused.
Youth-academy kids get a living football world. Academy-only saves saw every Sports tab dead-end on "The world has not been created yet." Enrolment now creates the whole 116-club world; stuck saves self-heal.
The Season tab stops promising stats it can never show. The empty state now tells the truth: match records start when you sign for a league club.

🌍 A BIGGER WORLD

Indonesia is now playable. By player request: start a life there, see the flag on the picker, get authentic names, and migrate there.
13,500 authentic names across all 63 countries. Every country's pool grew from ~15 to 100 first names and 100 surnames, correct for its cultures — Budi and Siti in Indonesia, Emeka and Okafor in Nigeria, Sato and Tanaka in Japan. You and every NPC draw from a genuinely local pool.
Emigrate anywhere on the board — no visit required. Applying used to need a prior visit, and the board only flew 26 places. The visit gate is gone (unvisited applicants just score lower on Ties), and the departures board lists every country with full relocation data.
NEW: Emigrate onward to a third country. No more being stuck with "Return home": pick any relocation-ready country and apply again — language carries over, network and visa history reset, and every country you've lived in is recorded.
You can finally teach your kids your heritage. The game decayed each child's heritage language yearly and guilt-tripped you about it — while the teach action had no button anywhere. The Roots tab now has a per-child "Teach +8" button, once a year.
Dual-language countries speak one language — and the job offer exists. "Arabic/English" was a phantom language, so studied Arabic counted zero — and the 5-event foreign job-offer chain was gated on a stage no application ever reaches. Both fixed: your language counts, and the recruiter can actually call.
~35 dormant migration events come alive. A whole tier of flavour events across all four emigration routes had never fired. Your migration journey has texture again.
The emigration scorecard shows everything upfront. No more just your three weakest, rotating areas: every category with your score, what's maxed, and how to improve the rest.
Private jet holidays are actually unlimited now. The Book buttons stop enforcing the 2-a-year limit on jet owners — "unlimited: your jet, your schedule". Everyone else keeps the limit.
Migrant parents get heritage baby names — both a local name and one from your origin country, or type your own.
Your migration neighbour is a real, named person. No more a friend literally called "A neighbour" ("A moved to New York"). New local friends are proper named locals; existing ones get quietly renamed.
Trips home now reconnect you with old friends. "See old friends" actually strengthens those bonds instead of doing nothing.
Emigrating leaves your old workplace behind. Your old office's mentor, rival and ally no longer follow you — those bonds archive into lasting friendships, and new colleagues form abroad.
No more teleporting your parents across borders. "Move them in with you" no longer magically relocates a parent abroad; the in-country care options remain.
You can't move back in with parents who live abroad — that housing option hides for settled migrants, pointing to the return-home path instead.
You can't pay to study a language you've mastered. At 100/100 the study button took your money and yearly action for zero gain; it now greys out as "Fluent".
The Language Class shows its price before you pay — no more random cost rolled after the click. What's shown is what's charged.
The migration Funds hint reads like English again. It said "savings of 2× the route minimum score full" — one player's review was just "HUH???????????".
The migration panel stops dangling false hope at the undocumented. No more "Next rung: Permanent residence ✓" on a rung the game cannot grant; it now says so plainly.
Migrant events name the actual local language — a migrant in Japan reads "in Japanese", not "in the local language".
Missing a wedding back home now reads like it feels. It hurts your happiness (intentional), but the text read happy, so the red felt like a bug. It now conveys the ache.
British employers stop following you abroad. Five real UK institutions (HM Prison Service, Royal Mail…) appeared in every country's job listings. Outside the UK they resolve to neutral fictional employers.
No more Thornbury in Texas. Politics used one all-British constituency pool everywhere, and schools used real-world anglo names in all 63 countries. Non-UK lives now draw from neutral fictional pools; UK lives keep everything.

💾 YOUR SAVES ARE SAFER

Beginning a new life no longer deletes your old one. The outgoing life is automatically preserved into a save slot, loadable from the title screen; if all ten slots are full it's kept safe behind the scenes. Nothing is ever lost.
A new life starts at age 0, whatever came before. No more being born at 35 with the previous life's log attached — a factory-fresh start is guaranteed.
Year-event popups survive closing the app. Unseen popups used to vanish if you closed right after aging up; they're now saved and re-shown in order.
Saves are ~30% smaller and faster. Trading chart data was up to 83% of the file; charts now rebuild on load instead, so saving and the save menu are noticeably snappier.
Loading a save refreshes the tab you're looking at — no more stale pre-load numbers until you switched away and back.
"Game loaded" lines stop piling up in your life log — one player had four in a row; now exactly one per load.
Dismiss the God Mode bubble. A small X closes it, the choice sticks, and a Settings toggle brings it back.
A full in-game What's New — a complete, player-readable rundown of the whole era in plain language.

🌿 EVERYDAY LIFE

This is the everything-else section — school, family, careers, shopping, menus. Deep breath.

School & education

Four trade degrees finally lead to real jobs. The Welding, Bricklaying, Printing Technology, and Aircraft Maintenance degrees promised careers that didn't exist. Welder, Bricklayer, Print Technician, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (£27k–£95k across the four) are now real, hireable jobs.
Picking a school you don't qualify for no longer dead-ends you — or traps you in middle school at 17. The picker re-offers the list, locked schools state exactly what they want, and mismatched enrolments get the correct picker re-offered.
More school fixes: the senior year is actually graded before graduation; postgrads see the right further-education options (PhD and professional routes, not Access Courses); the failed-maths disaster no longer hits straight-A students; and the scholarship letter only credits your IQ when the IQ bonus actually paid out.

Family & relationships

Your partner has their own surname now. A third of saved partners had none — and the wedding quietly borrowed YOURS. New partners get a surname from their own country; existing ones are healed at the altar.
One full partner profile. Actions were split across two screens. Everything now lives on one profile — trait, trust, passion and common-ground meters (previously invisible, which is why the dead-bedroom event could blindside a 100/100 couple), plus Date Night, Weekend Away, Try for Baby and the rest.
Couples, honestly: "drifted apart" crises skip thriving couples; your spouse's profile finally shows their age (and first-love spouses now age and face mortality); the proposal year counts toward your honest-year streak; marrying your kids' own parent no longer triggers "step-parent" reactions in them; and an active affair logs yearly — partner, heat, and an honest warning.
Identity fixes: confessing to a childhood friend no longer scrambles their gender ("friends with female names that turn out to be dudes", as one report put it); a child who comes out stays out — orientation persists into adulthood; coming out pre-2007 no longer happens "on social media"; and a same-gender marriage's surviving parent keeps their real gender through succession.
Family wording: siblings, nieces/nephews and adore/spoil lines gender correctly; friend cards show a male/female symbol; kids can't be a "Doctor/Lawyer" at once; adult kids get grown-up quality time instead of pillow forts; and kid siblings who live with you stop "missing" you or asking for moving help.
Sibling bonds: "Help a Sibling" raises the bond for real (the yearly sync averaged it back down), and "you lost touch with a sibling" needs a bond genuinely below 40 — not 96%.
Distant parents stay distant. A troubled-home start no longer flips to "Very caring" on your first birthday; warm bonds earned through play are untouched.
Grandchildren are people too. They get their own People-page cards, visits raise each grandchild's own bond, and the log names them. You become "a grandparent" only once, and the "better than your grandchildren" event now requires actual grandchildren.
Heirs and the departed: your heir keeps their nieces and nephews (that branch used to vanish); adult heirs get their parents back on the tree; parent and sibling deaths get the full obituary popup your cat always got; dead friends stay dead (no posthumous engagements); and dead siblings look dead on the Family page.
Friends, in bulk: divorced friends drop the Married badge; Unwell and New Baby statuses grow teeth (visit or lose them); new friends always get a real personality trait; two same-named friends no longer share one bond; no more "met 0 years ago"; and the People page updates in real time.
Quality of life: family menus stay open across interactions; managing a child toasts every pick and closes a repeat-tap stat farm; a friend's couch no longer grants homeowner powers over their house; the getaway shows your actual spouse's sprite (childhood sweethearts render as adults); adult children lead with their job; the crush event's pronouns agree; rivals, mentors and allies are tidied (pacified stays pacified, bonds at zero stay at zero, no phantom "workplace conflict" hunts); and Work-tab colleague cards open the interaction menu.
Elder and parenting events name the actual child ("you coached Sakura's sports team") and can't fire for the childless.

Creative careers (manga, writing, games, entertainment)

Manga careers, unstuck. "Take a break" is a real break and "Decide later" no longer strands you (there's always a Start New Series button); you can name your own series; finished arcs prompt you immediately; hype decay is softened so active creators net positive; you can finally fire studio staff; and all 7 creative actions moved onto the mangaka page with uses-left counters.
Writers and mentors: "Max revisions reached" only shows when actually maxed; your chef mentor stops reviewing your manga (mentors only critique their own field); and shelved manuscripts respect the 3-revision cap.
Game dev and entertainers: ETAs stop lying (no "1 year" on an epic-scope game); Creator-path entertainers start from a Home Studio, not a forced nightclub; no more "null chose the creator path" before you pick a stage name; a long-sober actor finally watches Substance Risk fall; and the death screen shows your studio's fair value — and stops claiming you "retired" when you died working.

Politics & power

The revolution actually deposes you. No more dismissing the overthrow dialog and just staying in power — a revolution hard-exits you immediately. Voluntary exits keep their golden parachute.
Controlling the media actually controls it. Press hostility is re-suppressed every year while you hold the press, instead of once.
Scandals expose the crime you actually committed — true headlines per corrupt action, and the literal "Age undefined" text is gone.

Health

Depression actually dents your joy. No more clinical depression with joy at a chirpy 100 — untreated depression caps joy at 65; treatment lifts the cap.
Health clarity: the condition chip and the healthcare menu finally agree ("2 — 1 active · 1 managed"); untreatable conditions like colour blindness stop offering a do-nothing "Treat"; and self-care shows prices up front plus remaining yearly actions ("2/3 left") — sleep optimisation is labelled Free because it is.

Driving, vehicles & belongings

Driving events require a driver. "Caught speeding badly enough to lose your licence" — to a player with no licence and no car. Four driving events now only hit actual drivers, and the eyesight/close-call flavour stops claiming things the game never enforced.
Garage: event-granted cars can actually be driven; timed restorations take their stated years instead of finishing instantly; and Buy Car goes straight to the Dealers screen.
Belongings: the phantom "1 belonging" with an empty list is fixed (the teen phone shows under Electronics); items showing a literal "{C}10M" code fragment are cleaned up; and the Tamagotchi's death grows up with you — it dies at your desk now, not "during school".

Shopping & the mall

No more drones and AR glasses on sale in the year 2000. Ten modern gadgets slipped past the era filter; each now waits for its real-world debut.
Mall tidy-up: owned one-time purchases drop off the shelves; the £50M "Private Island" is renamed the Caribbean Island Retreat (it read like the billion-class sovereign-island achievement); the Stuff mall keeps you in the Stuff mall; and under-18s see "You must be 18 to buy property" instead of live Buy buttons.

Property & estate odds and ends

A denied tenant stays denied. The anti-vacancy system no longer forces a twice-rejected tenant into your building; denying restarts the vacancy clock.
Also: the Property tab explains where Airbnb lives (homes abroad, bought from Travel); the Great Pyramid can no longer secretly roll as a forgery (places and wonders are unforgeable now); the estate screen shows your vehicles sold into the estate; and Neighbourhood Watch covers every neighbourhood you're exposed to.

The life log & filters

The Important filter sees your whole life. Filters searched only the latest ~50 lines — a sister's death from decades ago never showed. They now search your entire history.
Filters de-confused: the portfolio review no longer files under Health, "old internet in a drawer" no longer matches "intern", the Money filter catches every line with a currency amount, friend lines reach People, and the gold "important" bar no longer clips event text.
Log wording: big news lands before its tax bill; the late-life hobby shows the stats it granted; partner actions log as sentences ("Complimented Yuna"); elder events stop claiming an age you aren't; the "first trillion-dollar person" headline steps aside if that's you; and the death screen counts "Friends (most at once)".

The timeline & era-correctness

The timeline respects history. Twitter is Twitter in 2006, not "X / Twitter"; the 2002 console-war line credits the Xbox; no crypto news before 2009; no BookTok virality before ~2020.
More era sense: a computer counts for desktop-era social platforms (and OnlyFans waits for 2016); no YouTuber career on the 1989 job board (2005+, and stale applications no longer waste a slot); "Show Them Something Cool" respects the year (no phone videos in 1974); and pre-1985 births say their family income is "in today's money".

Menus, toasts & general UI

Death is the end of decisions. No more a market-crash popup, a "You Went Viral!" and a tax card stacked on the death screen. Death clears any popup and blocks new ones.
Toasts behave. No hiding behind open menus, long ones wrap instead of amputating, and rapid duplicates merge into one.
Menus that behave: Home Life redirects to the real Activities screen; the chores menu always opens and shows "N/3 left"; the quit/resign popup always centres on screen; "Close Timeline" actually closes it (the timeline was secretly one giant button); and the Life tab icon no longer clips — "the most minor bug of ALL TIME", per the reporter. Two pixels of padding. Never let it be said I don't read every report.
Buttons that explain themselves: "Say I Love You" shows why it's locked ("3+ yrs together"); the Fame and Married header chips open things; your country flag joins the header chips; Reputation gets an explainer (deeds move it, not money); "Family setup: both" reads "Raised by both parents"; locked hustle cards print their reason; and social join cards show full requirements instead of "Subscrip…".
Screens that agree with themselves: Milestones separates This Life from never-resetting Legacy; consultant career tabs read from one source; deceased relatives only "pass away" once per profile; and the "need a smartphone" notice takes you straight to the Mall.
Misc: the trades screen stops bouncing you to the hustle screen; "Find Work" drops its redundant toast; the bug-button toggle is state-aware; looking at the Mexico trip no longer consumes it; and phantom "promotion at work" events stop firing at solo hustlers with no boss.
A pile of copy fixes — third-person author lines, "made an introduction in Chef", the fame-80 "internet-famous" label, "your kids" with one kid, the hustle-cap reading, OnlyFans launch copy, the never-logged falling-out rift, the wedding "tradition" editorialising, a missing comma, the quit prompt's house-buying friends at 16, the timeline header count, "Role:" → "Relationship:", the upload panel's Skill explainer, memory lines for old services, and skipping the married-name popup when you share a surname.

🛠 FAIRNESS — THE EXPLOITS AND THE FIXES YOU REPORTED

This section is almost entirely yours. You found these. I just closed them.

The big money exploits — closed

The art trillionaire glitch is dead. Art value compounded forever with a hidden positive bias — a £2.8M masterwork could hit £1.5 TRILLION over 80 years. Appreciation is now properly centered and every piece caps at 10× its purchase price; ballooned collections settle to the cap.
The gated-community trillionaire exploit is closed. Communities were the one property asset with no ceiling — £250M could compound to ~£50 billion in one life. They now cap like every other property (4× purchase, £500M minimum).
The credit-score farm is closed. Open a card, borrow, instantly repay — +5 forever. Repayment gains now cap at +10/year, and clearing a card only builds credit if you held the debt a year.
Borrowing can no longer beat the bank's own savings rates. Top-credit loans (2.5%) undercut the Cash ISA (5.2%) — borrow max, park it, profit. The loan floor now sits 1 point above the best deposit rate.
The £149M-a-year wage exploit is dead. Renewals compounded 10–30% each with no ceiling — six took £960k/wk to £2.87M/wk. Wages now respect a real ceiling; above-cap deals aren't cut, they just stop growing. Bonus: bidding wars stop lowballing abroad players by ~46%.
Football transfer exploits, all three: a sold player could regenerate onto your club with a fresh Sell button — an unlimited duplicate-fee machine (sold means sold now); an owner of two clubs could mint money selling players between them — closed; and owners in the women's game were charged ~7× the world's own price — fees match exactly now.
Channel strategy is a choice, not a stat pump. Spamming the change-strategy menu re-applied the stat bonus every click; the year's effect now counts exactly once.

Money that was being taken from you unfairly

A renovation can never lower the rent — anywhere. Players saw rent fall from ~£6.5k to ~£4k after paying to improve the place; one soundproofing "upgrade" cut $55k/month to $38k. The rent cap was clamping rent DOWN when you spent money. Fixed everywhere — your pre-renovation rent is always the floor now.
Acquired businesses can finally pay their compliance fines. Businesses you bought (rather than founded) could be fined yearly with no Pay button anywhere — one player watched a fine compound to ¥1.4B with literally no way to settle it. They now carry the same pay-fine and audit controls as founded ones.
The corrupt judge actually reduces your sentence. £150k plus £30k a year for a promised "Sentence −40%" that did nothing — it now applies at all five benches.
Switching jobs can no longer gut your salary. The old job's cap could stick to the new one — a 200k quant clamped to barista wages. It now recalculates per job; wrongly-cut salaries are restored.
Charged wrongly, no more: sold properties stop sending repair bills; both mall doors share one price and you actually pay the sale price; browsing Deep Talk or "Ask for a favor" is free — you pay only when you actually do the thing; a kid's check-up is parent-paid on both paths, and healthcare opens from age 10; and friend debts net out instead of both of you owing each other.
Trust funds pay the right child. With two kids sharing a name, a toddler's £283M fund paid out to the wrong Freya at age 2. Funds are now tied to the specific child, mis-paid funds are pulled back, the option hides when no child qualifies, and the panel stops snapping your scroll to the top.
Honest numbers: composer hires deliver double the accrual AND quote the honest per-year rate; a raise stopped by the era's salary cap says so instead of vanishing; and the wealth-cap notice speaks your own currency, not hardcoded pounds.

Things you could start but never stop

You can finally quit an extracurricular. Two separate reports: once in a school club, the yearly fee charged forever. Every club now has a red Leave button — membership, cost, and perks end together.
Also now stoppable: the writers' workshop gets a Leave button (and finally shows the fee it's charging); bodyguards can be dismissed (previously only an assassin could remove one); and retiring from your day job no longer silently kills your separate side hustle.

The hustle & creator-career overhaul

YouTube's "Take a break" no longer locks every other hustle forever. Pausing left a zombie job slot — every other hustle card said "step back first", permanently. Fixed; broken saves heal on next open.
Side-career media empires actually operate. A full studio on a side-career channel earned exactly 0 forever — empire processing only ran when YouTube was your main job. It now runs every year: revenue in, overhead billed.
Creators, un-punished: studio collabs count as posting (one player lost 17% of 57M followers the year after a brilliant collab, flagged inactive); engagement can finally recover from its 15% floor; and social-hustle viewer trust can climb past its hard-stuck 50% (soft cap 68%).
Idle years still sell your back catalogue. A no-project year paid zero passive income on your released games. It now pays every year — one six-game catalogue paid over a billion in a previously-worthless idle year.
Studios, unstuck: a finished game force-ships even when popups crowd out its launch (one sat wedged for 8 years); the broker fee on an astronomical studio is ceilinged so selling is always payable; and TV-series renewals tell you when your studio balance covers the cost — Withdraw first.
Multiple hustles, manageable: a switch bar appears when you run two or more; a career hustle no longer hides your social platforms; a dual-career YouTuber can actually Step Back; quitting YouTube genuinely closes the channel (shown as a dimmed archive, not a live card); big YouTubers get Products & Revenue back after going media-empire; and the Creator Empire re-offers its 1M-sub choice instead of wedging on "Stage undefined".
Honest creator UI: OnlyFans keeps a Manage card on the Social page; Post Content states its real token price (a niche halves it); the Content Studio names which platform your content landed on; strategy cards state exact effects; upload pips show slots remaining; the channel Reputation label explains itself; and the weed hustle updates your money HUD the moment you spend.
Doors that work: the crime panel recognises a side-hustle drug dealer (no more eternal "Start Drug Dealing" over a running operation); the F1 $3M buy-in works as advertised while the age gate holds (no live Start button for a rich 8-year-old — you must be 16, money can't buy that); and the studio stops offering to hire a Community Manager you already employ.

Inheritance & the next generation

A child heir's inherited empire freezes until 18 — and is acknowledged, not denied. An 8-year-old's inherited business kept trading while the Empire tab said they were too young to have one. It's now held in trust — frozen — until 18, with a read-only view under its caretaker board.
Prepared foreign homes actually list on Airbnb. Pay the prep fee, see the List button, get bounced with "Only international properties can be listed". Fixed; one player had eight prepped Italian homes waiting.
The age button can no longer wedge shut. A popup dying unresolved could disable aging forever — with the recovery behind that very button. A watchdog now detects the stuck state and re-enables aging.

📱 ANDROID: IN-APP PURCHASES FIXED

If you've been unable to buy anything on Android recently — that outage is resolved. The store-billing component the game shipped with had fallen out of date and Google had deprecated it; it's now fully updated and purchases work again. I'm sorry to everyone who hit this — I know some of you tried to support the game and couldn't.

Two related honesty fixes:

Restore Purchases stops lying about success. If billing couldn't initialise, the game skipped the restore and still toasted "Purchases restored." Success wording now only follows an actual restore; failures name the real cause.
A broken install hears the truth about billing. Installs missing their billing component (typically sideloaded or cloned APKs) were told to "check your connection". The message now names the real remedy: reinstall from the Play Store.

A note on rollout: both stores are rolling this out now, so it may take a few days to reach everyone. iOS players will see it listed as 3.74 — same update.
⸻
What's next

I'm not going to say much yet — but the football era isn't finished, and there are a couple of long-requested things on the bench warming up. Once this update has settled and the inevitable post-release fixes are out, I'll share more.

Found a bug?

Please use the in-game bug reporter (the floating bug button, or More → Report a Bug). A huge chunk of this update exists because someone took thirty seconds to file a report. A line about what you were doing makes fixes dramatically faster.

Thanks for playing, thanks for reporting, and enjoy the boardroom. It's your club now.

3.72 VERDANT - ON THE WAY

3.72 is on its way to both stores — 27 fixes and upgrades, and almost every single one traces back to a report from this sub or the Discord. This is the "you told us, we fixed it" update. Thank you.

🌍 Emigration finally shows you your points

The system was always deep — you just couldn't see it. Now:

  • The apply screen shows "Your points today: 52/70" with exactly which levers are weak and how to strengthen them, before you commit
  • While your application pends, the passport card shows the full per-lever breakdown, live every year
  • Refused? The letter now tells you your score and precisely what fell short — no more guessing
  • Study real languages — the Language Class now opens a picker (Japanese, Spanish, anything) and feeds your migration language score. A Modern Languages degree counts too
  • Passports at 16, and solo emigration at 16-17 on a student visa — visit first, show tuition funds
  • To the posters who kept pushing on this system: this whole section exists because of you

💀 The death screen got a rebuild

Clean estate rows, business legacies with valuations in gold, and giant fortunes now read "12.59T" instead of a 14-digit number clipping off the screen. And to the poster who asked "how does 40% of 62 become 57?" — you were right, the label was lying. Normal estates pay your country's real rate (nothing at all in the UAE, 40% top rate in the UK); colossal estates hit the anti-dynasty mega-estate duty, and the death screen now says so with the real effective rate.

💰 To our trillionaires: impressive. Also, over.

We read the write-up. It was genuinely brilliant. It's also patched:

  • Market concentration caps — no more swallowing an entire market's liquidity
  • Real borrow costs on whale positions
  • Randomised mean-reversion — the timing exploit is gone
  • Fraud now has an annual budget

Trillionaire is supposed to be crazy hard. It is again.

🛠 And 20+ of your most-reported bugs

  • Taps always answer — no more double-charged check-ups or actions that silently did nothing
  • Your partner's bond updates the moment you act (no more tab-switching to see the number move)
  • Closing your YouTube channel actually closes it (closed channels were secretly still earning six figures a year)
  • Day-job criminals get their empire menu back
  • The bug-report ladybug stays out of your money stat — it stops right under the header, exactly where you asked
  • Pinch-to-zoom works on the live market chart
  • The "self-employed internship" is now a proper Trade Apprenticeship at Millhaven Trades Guild (mid-programme saves update themselves)
  • Emoji no longer peek out from behind family portraits, "a friend for life" actually joins your friends list, raises stick, paid rent rises display, and more
  • Android: the game no longer draws under the status bar or the navigation buttons

Availability: Android is rolling out now; iOS is in review and should land within a day

Found something broken? The 🐞 button in-game sends us your save directly — most of this update started exactly that way. Keep them coming.

Investors advice

Hey all — solo developer here looking for honest advice on taking on investment for the first time, from people who’ve actually done it.

The game: — a deep text-based life simulator game (think cradle-to-grave: careers, family, crime, property, politics, fame) for Android, iOS and web. It’s a genuinely big simulation — around 250,000 lines, ~7,000 functions — built and maintained by just me.

4.8 rating on iOS and android and about 600reviews so far

This week I shipped the big update , The World Update (3.7): a full emigration system (63 countries, each with real visa routes, a points test, language/culture/settlement mechanics), a rebuilt travel system with private jets, a living world economy, politics rebuilt end to end, and 150+ fixes driven directly by player bug reports.

Where it stands:

**•**	Live on Google Play and the App Store, monetized through in-app purchases (premium unlock, cosmetic/convenience packs) via RevenueCat
**•**	Revenue is small but real and consistent — roughly **$30-50 on a slow day up to \~$200 on good days rare days even $400**
**•**	An engaged community: an active Discord where players file bug reports with save files attached — I’ve triaged 1000+ of them,
**•**	Development velocity is my biggest asset: major systems

What I’m trying to figure out:

**1.**	At this size, is investment even the right move vs. just compounding organic growth? What did the decision look like for you?
**2.**	Where do solo mobile devs actually *find* investors — publishers, indie funds, angels? Which ones are worth talking to for a live-service life-sim?
**3.**	What do investors want to see from a game like this — revenue multiple, retention curves, install growth? What should I have ready before any conversation?
**4.**	Horror stories welcome: what should a solo dev never give up in an early deal?

Happy to share more detail — screenshots, the update history, numbers. DMs are open if you’d rather talk privately or have information you don’t want to post publicly.

EMIGRATION

How to emigrate in 3.7:

**1.** Open the 🌍 **World** hub → **✈ Travel**.
**2.** Go to the 📘 **Passport** tab and get a passport if you don’t have one.
**3. Visit the country first** — book a holiday there from the departures board. You can only apply to emigrate to countries you’ve actually been to.
**4.** Back on the Passport tab, a **“**🌍 **Consider Emigrating”** section appears with a card for every country you’ve visited — tap one to start your application.
**5.** You’ll be scored on your real life (age, money, education, job, family) across visa routes — skilled, family, investor, student, ancestry. Applications take years and can be refused, and you track them on the same tab.

Requirements: age 16+, not in prison or hospital. And moving is a real decision — you can lose your job (unless your industry transfers), you can’t live in houses you leave behind, and relationships strain across borders.
