VoiceMeeter + Virtual Audio Cable suddenly echoing after trying to lower mic latency

So earlier today I was trying to lower my mic latency for Discord karaoke by following a tutorial, and after changing some settings, my VoiceMeeter setup suddenly started echoing — but ONLY through Virtual Audio Cable.

Things I already tried:

  • Switching between WDM and MME
  • Changing Cable Input / Cable In 16ch
  • Resetting ALL VoiceMeeter settings
  • Reinstalling VoiceMeeter
  • Reinstalling Virtual Audio Cable drivers completely

The weird thing is it was working perfectly fine before I messed with the latency settings. Now every time audio passes through the VAC input, it has this echo/double playback effect.

Does anyone know what setting could’ve caused this or how to fully reset the audio routing/latency configuration? I feel like some hidden buffer or monitoring option got stuck somewhere.

btw my A and B's there are not my usual ones

TL;DR: Tried lowering mic latency for Discord karaoke, now VoiceMeeter only echoes when using Virtual Audio Cable. Reinstalled/reset everything and still broken.

One Mic (2 Channels), Two Headphones

I want to record stuff with my friend. I have a RODE Wireless 2 microphone setup. It consists of 2 mics which connect to one interface which connects to my computer. My end goal is having it so I can hear my friend's mic, he can hear mine, but we can't hear our own voices. Right now I'm struggling to separate the 2 channels from my RODE Wireless 2 so that one channel/mic goes to me while the other goes to my friend.

Long story short, I don't know how to split the mics into their own separate channels. Any advice?

Clac/pop when launching audio

Hello

i don't know why but i have regulary a pop (like a the physical connection pop) when i launch a video or at random using firefox/chrome.

I'm using potato to split all my audio.

- First virtual for ingame chat (when game have this function)
- Second for Discord
- Third for game
- Stereo input 4 Virtual audio cable B (video/firefox)
- Stereo input 5 Virtual audio cable C (FX / personnal sound box)

And all my output go to virtual audio cable A so i can swap between my speaker or IEM, without the need to swap hardware output

All are in WDM with defaut buffering

I have another trouble not link i guess with LMU if i use potato all the audio is wired/delayed but i still need to trouble shoot this part

My problem is my mic shows up that I’m “talking/playing music” in gamechat but no sound but shows my mic moving

If anyone can help me/give me a step by step updated guide on how to do it (since the tutorials are outdated) you’d be my saviour! Thanks in advance!

Voicemeeter Potato Challenge Code Changed After Updating and Restarting

I am running Windows 11 Pro. I needed to restart my computer after installing something. Since there was a Windows update pending, I decided to go ahead and do it. I restarted my computer and noticed my PC was deaf when the PC rebooted. I went to check Voicemeeter, and it said it was unlicensed. It looks like the challenge code changed. Why did this happen?

I am concerned for future updates/restarts or whatever caused this because it is my understanding you only get one regen unless there is a Voicemeeter update that causes the challenge code to change, though I am still not entirely clear on whether that is per a set amount of time or per lifetime. I assume there is no way to get it to change back. Did the Windows update trigger something? I may decide to skip out on regenerating the response for now since I have been considering a clean install on my PC due to some odd issues I have had recently.

voice meeter not functioning properly/ i need help 😭

Every time i run my pc voicemeeter boots up and then ill be watching yt or playing a game or something then after about 30 minutes give or take my audio cuts out completely from everything and then my youtube will freeze and the only 2 ways i have got it to fix is by restarting my pc which restarts the cycle OR i take my audio off of voicemeeter and route it directly to my audio interface to hear directly from it. i dont know how to fix this and i have tried everything i could think of to get it to work and its not

Connecting Sonar & Voicemeter Banana with Arctis Nova 5x PC only

My Headset - I Have SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5x headset

I need help configuring sonar with VMB. I have a stream comp that I am using VMB to send the gaming audio/discord from gaming computer to my streaming computer via virtual cables.

However to use the 5x’s I need to use Sonar to use ChatMix. I can configure sonar to work with either transmitting gaming audio or discord not both - the minute I select the other track to transmit to VMB it says something went wrong.

I don’t understand why sonar cannot send both chat and gaming to voicemeeter.

Does anyone have any guidance? I cannot figure out why this will not work, and I’m about to lose my mind 😅

Mapping a HOTAS button as PTM

Im trying to do a special DCS (combat aircraft simulator) streaming setup with various inputs/outputs like Discord, DCS and a 3rd party radio plugin called SRS.

I found a way to do all of this through Voicemeeter Banana, but for it to work I need to map a push-to-mute on my HOTAS (Virpil throttle). I tried the MIDI mapping thing and could not make it work, my HOTAS could not be recognized, maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Has anyone done something similar with a HOTAS? Is it even possible?

Weird issue after power outage.

Hello. I’ve had a weird issue after power outage.

Nothing changed. But the audio is acting rather laggy and annoying.

I switch windows setting to the audio device exclusive and the audio was fine. I use VBAN and the iPhone app. Same thing.

I reinstalled the software. Didn’t work. Checked the windows settings, and I made sure the Htz was what it should be. 16 bit. Etc etc.

I also checked the sample rates. Changed them up and down. Changed from MME to all the others. Nothing.

I am at a loss on what to do. It’s weird that nothing changed, only after this power outage. Something happened.

I currently can't get my voice to work on voicemeeter on discord and obs. For some reason system settings look different from my friends screen (It shows A1, A2, A3 etc) while mine are named all the same and no matter which output I use it doesn't seem to work... Does anyone know what is happening here?I currently can't get my voice to work on voicemeeter on discord.
