EX60 Configure and Price made available

Ultra Spec only (no Plus), and P6 or P10 only, no P12

P12 are on 12+month waits in Europe so probably hamstrung by motor units and battery packs for our market.

Also no Cross Country spec has been released in any market yet from what I recall.

No 22" wheel options.

All options are no-cost extras

EX60 P6 Ultra RWD; $95,777 Drive Away

EX60 P10 Ultra AWD; $112,656 Drive Away.

FYI: Volvo support the EX60 being used as V2G/V2H when the technology is approved and the use of this functionality is included in the standard battery warranty (there are limits to energy use per year).

Debut of the EX60 at the World Trade Center

I happened to be visiting NYC and saw that Volvo had an event for US drivers. So my wife and I went over to see it. The event was put on by Volvo US. ....not by a dealer. We could not sit in the car. So the rep opened the doors and moved the seats for me.

I was leaning hard for the pure white for a color. I had an 05 XC90 that was white and loved it. I planned to go back to white......but the green really looked good......

And then it got even better. The rep got some of my info and returned w a parting gift. It was a Bowers & Wilkins over the ear headphones. I was stunned. Very fun. I forgot to ask the rep if there was more roadshow

Missed opportunity on the center stack

I think it would have been glorious if Volvo brought back the wood grained waterfall dash below the center screen like days of yore. Populate it with useful buttons and it would be more beautiful and ergonomic than any other EV. A great way to bridge the past and the future.

Google pimps Gemini...EX60 AC won't work

Well, at least the roof dims automatically. So sad after all the press Volvo is doing about how they've fixed the issues since the EX30 & 90 launches.

https://www.cnet.com/tech/mobile/cnet-lab-exclusive-fastest-wired-wireless-charging-phone/

"On a balmy, 86-degree day in Mountain View, just outside Google's sprawling campus, I sought refuge from the glaring California sun in a Volvo EX60 -- or so I thought. The air conditioning wasn't working."

First driving reviews of the Volvo EX60 are hitting Youtube

Out on the road, the EX60 strikes an impressive balance between sporty agility and comfort, handling remarkably well even on large 22-inch wheels. It is exceptionally quiet due to standard laminated windows and an active noise cancellation system, although the reviewer noted the cancellation effect can occasionally create an artificial pressure sensation in the ears. Efficiency during highway testing proved solid, consuming 19 kWh per 100 km at 100 km/h and 22,5 kWh at 120 km/h, which provides a very reliable cruising range. With a highly competitive starting price around 66.000 € for the mid-tier model and 72.000 € for the largest battery version, the EX60 significantly undercuts its competitors to stand out as a highly compelling choice in the luxury market.

US configurator error?

I noticed on the US configurator that the Retractable load cover is included in the list of features in the Ultra trim, however a Luggage Cover is offered as an additional addon for $515.

What gives? Does it come with one or not?

Braking issues

Having watched several review videos that were mostly super positive, several mention the not so nice braking. The switch between braking on the engine and mechanical braking does not seem to be smooth.

Has anyone read a response from Volvo on this issue? Hope they can fix it.

Tesla Supercharging

120kW charging on DCFC that don’t support 800V. That is most of compatible Tesla Superchargers as of today. Luckily better infrastructure is happening but would suck to have to use a 400V Tesla SC or similar if traveling or any kind of hurry.

Not a dealbreaker but something to think about for sure, if you plan on road tripping.

BMW IX3 does 200 kW on the Tesla Superchargers that are 400V (only ten 800V Tesla SCs across America so far. More will come but will be a while).

So every other Tesla SC would max out at 120kW on the EX60.

Build and Price (U.S.) Tomorrow

Volvo has added a graphic to homepage promoting build and price your EX60 tomorrow in USA market. This also aligns to what local dealer told me a few weeks ago about them getting their order info 5/18.

Will be curious to see the info finally.

More EX60 images

Rear treatment and views of the inside. Many Polestar vibes IMHO

Is there a conflict between using the USB ports and the extended cup holders?

Every tour of the inside I see the USB ports on the inside face of the glove box, meaning the box has to be open to use a cord. Does this interfere with the cup holders? It looks like it would be an awkward situation.

Seat height vs Mustang Mach E?

I am currently driving a Mustang Mach E, I am seriously considering the Volvo EX60, I have never driven Volvo before. I like the seat height in the Mustang, which is more comfortable in longer drives (before I drove Toyota and my legs felt numb after long drives). I have been to a Volvo showroom and the cars there (XC60, EX40) had lower seat height compared to Mustang, any idea on the seat height of the EX60? I didn’t find data on hip point for the EX60 anywhere.
