Norton bathrooms

Whoever designed the bathrooms for Norton shouldn’t be allowed to design another bathroom because holy cow I can’t move around in the shower.

Parking near crc for non student

Hey, I won't have a permit of any kind for parking since my wife is the student at wcu. I wonder if I can park in the staff parking near the crc after 5pm without a permit or if I have to use the metered parking.

Anyone else got ant problems?

I’m in Norton. Me and a couple others have had ant problems in their rooms or their cars. Curious if this is campus wide or just in the Norton region.

Update: I found Ortho indoor home defense spray worked best for the ant problem.

Mysterious abandoned houses on campus

Does anyone know what these abandoned houses used to be? They are located behind Allen and Juda?

Best place for snack delivery?

My nephew just moved in and I wanted to send him a treat. Is there somewhere local for cookies or anything? Thought I'd try that before mailing. I don't know the area and am not having much success looking online.

Check your unit at Sylva Self Storage ASAP

Head's up if you have stuff stored at Sylva Self Storage, I recommend checking your unit as soon as possible.

Multiple customers are reporting on FB significant mold/moisture damage to their stuff in their units -- potentially due to storm damage that happened weeks ago. And the worst part is that the facility has not proactively notified potentially affected customers. So, many students/parents may have no idea there is an issue until they return for move-in.

If you have a unit there, go inspect it ASAP, and if you find damage, take photos/video before moving or cleaning anything.

Read through your rental agreement carefully as you will find that the 'protection fee' you've been paying has a lot of limitations for this scenario.

(edit: added storm damage info)
