Candice Michelle vs. Melina

Date: March 19, 2007

Promotion: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)

Match Stipulation / Type: Bra and Panties Match

Event: WWE Monday Night RAW (Episode 721)

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana | Conseco Fieldhouse

➜ The object of the match was to strip your opponent down to their bra and panties to win. There were exactly 33 officially recognized "bra and panties" matches held in WWE over a 9-year span during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras. One match was held with the WWF Women's Championship on the line.

This match in particular was the end of an era, as it was the final official Bra and Panties match in WWE history. It took place on the March 19, 2007, episode of Monday Night Raw. It was an impromptu match that featured appearances by Ashley, The Great Khali & Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Prior to the match, Melina said she didn’t pose in Playboy because it was beneath her. She claimed Playboy begged her, but she turned them down. Candice then said the following:

“From what I hear, you don’t turn much of anything down. And you’ve been beneath every single guy in that locker room.”

Because WWE transitioned into a PG (parental guidance) TV-rating model shortly after this, the stipulation was retired. It remains a distinct relic of the company's Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras.

“Michaels Just Superkicked da Hell Outta Hogan” — Jim Ross

Date: July 4, 2005

Promotion: World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)

Match Stipulation / Type: Tag Team Match

Event: Monday Night RAW (Episode 632)

Location: Sacramento, California | ARCO Arena

➜ The July 4, 2005, episode of Monday Night Raw ending with the shocking moment where Shawn Michaels turned on Hulk Hogan, delivering a Sweet Chin Music superkick to Hogan. This iconic segment occurred after their tag-team match against Kurt Angle and Carlito.

This would lead to the infamous match between the two at SummerSlam where Shawn Michaels deliberately oversold Hulk Hogan's offense as a form of protest. He was frustrated because Hogan had initially agreed to a three-match feud where they would trade victories, but Hogan later changed the plans to a single match so he wouldn't have to put Michaels over.

Feeling that Hogan was using backstage politics to avoid losing, Michaels decided to make light of the situation. During their match, Michaels took wildly exaggerated, cartoonish bumps for Hogan's moves—most notably Hogan's signature Big Boot and running leg drop—turning the physical performance into a hilarious spectacle that many saw as a way to mock Hogan's limited and slow in-ring capabilities at that stage in his career.

HBK 05-06 heel run

What an opportunity they had here. Even if hogan didn’t want to play ball brother, I think they could have easily leant into that to make HBK an even more bitter angrier person at the company - which would make him steep to even lower levels. But I guess there was genuinely
No real top babys on raw at the time. And from memory by Summerslam 05 Cena heat was already beginning.

I know it’s fantasy but imagine heel Shawn against baby face flair - into say a cross promotional feud with face Eddie, Rey or taker. Maybe culminate with a match at mania with face HHH. I think it would’ve fed better towards the DX 06 run too.

Underrated Ruthless Aggresssion theme songs

Which ruthless aggression era theme songs do you think don’t get enough love or should be talked about more? These songs are bangers that I always listen to but don’t get the same love.
