Has everyone received acceptance/rejection from Waseda

Waseda is closing tomorrow for summer, has anyone yet received any response from them? Whether it’s rejection or acceptance?
Or students from past years, how long did you wait to get a response from Waseda? Or from any other university?

Any Waseda students starting in September 2026?

21M from California, in Tokyo from late september/early october through the end of the year doing online school. Looking to meet people and make some friends while I'm here.

Into sports (would love to catch a baseball/volleyball/basketball game live), video games, hiking, and eating my way through the city. Pretty down for whatever, if you're planning a day trip, a food crawl, or just grabbing a drink, I'm in.

My schedule's flexible since classes are online, so weekdays work too. DM and I'll send my IG.

Apply to waseda qnd kyushu

Hi! I’m planning to apply to Waseda University and Kyushu University for the 2027–2028 academic year, probably for Computer Science or another engineering-related program.

I’m coming from the French/European high school system, and I’ve already taken the new TOEFL iBT and scored 90. Academically, I have pretty strong grades overall, and I’m currently around the top 1–3 students in my class.

I’m mainly wondering about the new TOEFL scoring system. Has anyone been accepted to Waseda or Kyushu University with a 90 on the new TOEFL? I’m trying to figure out whether 90 is already a good enough score, or whether I should retake it and aim for 100+ to maximize my chances.

Personally, I don’t think I’ll take the SAT, since, as far as I understand, the Baccalauréat (French high school diploma) already serves as the main academic qualification for students coming from the French system.

If anyone has any experience with Waseda or Kyushu, especially with the new TOEFL, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks! 😊

How are erasmus foreigner students treated?

Hello! As the title says, i’d love to know what to expect, and perhaps if anyone would give me any advice on what not to do, i’d be deeply grateful

High school transcript

what is high school transcript for a level student? Is it like grade of sem exam and mock exam taken in college during year 12 and 13? And for year 11 can I submit IGCSE as year 10 transcript?

Is this community only for international students?

I’m Japanese and a Waseda University student. Is this community only for international students?
Also, just out of curiosity, how do people usually build communities and make friends in real life? Do people here actually meet up and take the community offline?

Waseda students only (for now) — I just finished building a web-based social network

It’s designed specifically for Waseda students, and you can use it in English too.
Since registration requires a university email address, everyone on the platform is a university student.
I built it with the goal of helping people make new connections during those little gaps in their day. Basically, I’m trying to make the Japanese dream of “Can I make 100 friends?” a reality. lol

Rejected from All Short-term Housing Applications

I applied to both WISH and WID for student housing, but got rejected from both. WID suggested I look into a dorm that's over an hour away from campus, but between the housing cost itself and the added commuting expenses, it's just not financially feasible for me. The other company listed doesn't support short-term housing, thereby limits my option a lot.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What are my options at this point. Are there other housing programs I should be looking into, or ways to appeal/reapply?
