I just want to ask because in the beginning I used my notes to track movies and webseries after that I found an app called "Queue" after some time I left that app because of the features and shifted to "trakt" i literally loved this app but today this app is telling me to shift to vip for add more in the list I'm not going to pay for such things....

I'm looking for the alternative of the trakt, now I found this before I sign-up I want to ask you all and the dev too is it going to be free? Or atleast give the normal features for free like adding unlimited movies and webseries, re-watch, personal lists, etc?

Is WeTrakr down, or is it just me and my network(s)?

The pages are not loading on my desktop or my phone (both wifi and cellular)

How is the integration with Nuvio currently going?

The plot summary, “the directed by... “ and the bold line should have larger font size as it is one of if not the most important thing for picking up a movie

Question for the dev. For the road map for nuvio sync is the plan just to create a addon or will you try and see if you can can get this integrated into the nuvio app? Integrated would be cool. Trakt and Simkl are already integrated. I am using Trakt as my library source (which I plan on moving fully away from Trakt at some point) and Simkl as continue watching but if WeTrakr was integrated I could use that as both instead. Just a thought I am not sure what your plans are for nuvio sync.

I got this wrong, I changed the terms. I'm going to honour what I said: anyone who signed up between May 12, 2026 and the publication date of this post, and actively contributed with bugs and ideas, gets VIP Lifetime (details below)

Here's the full story.

When I published my first post on Reddit, I wanted to get users involved so they would take an active part in the project, to build a community that would give shape to all of this and let the users themselves decide many of the things that have already been built. I wanted to thank people for that effort by offering VIP for free so they could test it, charging absolutely nothing. I didn't even want to set up donations, so it wouldn't look odd in any way. I wanted to pay for all of this out of my own pocket. At that moment I also wanted to say thanks by keeping VIP for everyone who helped me with this by sending bugs and improving WeTrakr. But that's where my first mistake began: my words fell short and I was a bit naive back then, almost 3 months ago. I never thought this project would have this kind of impact. It took off suddenly, and those comments were forgotten.

The following month I was already talking about keeping VIP with conditions (as long as bugs were reported), but at that point I was no longer talking about lifetime, but about keeping VIP year after year.

Later on, worried that I wouldn't be able to sustain any of it, I narrowed it down again to specific conditions and 50 people. So I kept changing what I had promised as I went along, and that's on me, not on you.

Some of you have kindly made me reconsider, and you're right about many things. I acknowledge this mistake. Maybe I shouldn't have given anything away for free from the start, as one user pointed out. My mistake was also wanting to please everyone who wanted to help, and it probably would have been better if that help had been given selflessly. In any case, what's done is done and I have to take my share of the blame.

With this I want to be completely honest with you. I try to be fair, looking at what can be sustainable and what can't. I try to be involved in everything I do, always taking your opinion into account, and this is proof of that. I make mistakes like any human being, and I don't want to make the same ones as others we all know about and lose your trust. That's why I'm listening to you on this too. But a promise is a promise, and I'm keeping it.

What happens from here:

Anyone whose account was created between May 12, 2026 (the date of my first post) and the publication date of this post, is still active today, and who sent at least 3 accepted bugs or ideas, gets VIP Lifetime. (accounts created after this post won't qualify)

As of this message, I stop counting contributions. I have my own list, but it's almost certainly incomplete because there have been so many of you, so I'm going to put together a form to request VIP Lifetime, and I'll share it here as soon as it's ready. That way nobody falls through the cracks.

I'm also putting together discounts for anyone who wants to keep VIP once the beta ends.

The 10 users who contributed the most will also get a top contributor badge on their profile.

Thanks for your patience, and for being straight with me. I'm going back to what I should be doing, which is making WeTrakr better.

I think this is the only addon so far that ive tried (out of MANY) that actually scrobbles wuplay in real time as an addon vs oauth integration. nice!

A couple of strange problems, hope you don't mind telling you here. For some reason I can't post on Discord.

First of all, Really love what you've done so far with Wetrakr. Trakt has nothing on this one. Except for the anime not matching thing, everything else is better than what I've seen on trakt.

Now, the continue watching and watched episodes sections are not updating with new episodes anymore. I use Nuvio, wetrakr addon installed. Yes, previously watched episodes are marked as watched manually by myself.

I even tried re-marking them with the 'just watched' option. It's been happening since the day before yersterday. I was watching a series '24 India' and this started happening from the 8th episode. Retrying a few times by marking it as 'just watched' manually does fix the issue.

But when I complete the current watching episode (which also marks on Wetrakr), move on to the next episode and let's say I pause that episode mid way, I can see in Wetraker even after some time that it's not updated in continue watching, and the previous episode I've watched sometimes does not get updated as watched and needs to be manually marked as 'Just Watched'.

As for the Anime Titles not matching: I guess the animes imported from trakt zip export not finding matches in WeTrakr is already reported by others, but yes that remains the same. I have tried.

English isn't my first language, so I hope I was able to explain the problem to you without confusing you. Sorry if I am bothering with yet another complaint.

I use the Stremio addon on Nuvio app.

I started watching a movie but stopped midway and closed my player. I check after 15 minutes, it still shows Now Playing on WeTrakr. I think eventually it will be marked as Watched, even tho I don't plan on finishing that movie.

Is this a known issue? Any fix?

Been on this app a little over a month now and even with the little bit of bugs it might have I still love this app. I finally got to use the feedback section in the web app. Was not connecting to discord but finally connected today so was able to use it. Still haven’t been able to use Netflix sync since I started using this but I’m sure at some point it will work. I’m still a happy camper. Keep it up dev. this iwill be one of the best trackers out there.

Are there any plans for adding profiles to WeTrakr, especially for platforms like Nuvio. It just makes things a lot easier. BingeCat would be one of the examples of it. Having profiles would mean tracking and recommendations for different profiles in the same Nuvio account of course.
