Shows in your Planning list move to Next Shows when they premiere, but if you only check Next Episodes, a premiere could slip by unnoticed.

Now you can choose. Go to Settings > Preferences > Next Episodes behavior and turn on Include shows in Planning that have premiered. Once a show in your Planning list starts airing, it shows up in Next Episodes with the first episode you haven't watched, right next to the shows you're already watching.

• It's off by default, so nothing changes unless you turn it on.
• When you sort by "Watched show", these come after the shows you're actually watching.
• They still appear in Next Shows too.

Does your history say you watched something 7 times when you only watched it once?

It happens: a scrobbler fires the same play twice, or you import the same history from Trakt, TV Time and Simkl and each one lands with a slightly different date. Those extra plays quietly inflate your watch time and your stats.

You can now clean them up.

Where
Open a title's watched history (tap the arrow next to "N plays") and you'll find Clean rewatches (see options) at the bottom. It only shows up when there's more than one play.

What you can clean

>This title (or this episode)
This show: every episode plus its full passes
Your whole history: every movie, episode and show in your account

What you keep
Your choice: the first play (the day you actually discovered it) or the last one.

Before anything is deleted
We count first and tell you exactly how many plays are going away, so you always confirm on a real number. Your ratings, reviews and lists are never touched.

One warning: removing plays can't be undone. If you're not sure, start with a single title before running it on your whole account.

Hi everyone! These past days I've been able to wrap up the first version of the WeTrakr public API. Like the website, it's in its testing phase, so things may still change while I test it with all of you.

What apps can do with it
Everything you'd expect: your lists (Watching, Planning, Watched...), history and progress, ratings, favorites, notes, comments and custom lists, plus search, discover and the whole movie, show and people catalog. There's also scrobbling, so media centers can mark what you're watching live, and sync, so apps only fetch what changed.

For users
Starting today you can connect your WeTrakr account to any app that integrates with WeTrakr, with no limit on the number of apps. You approve each app on WeTrakr, and you can see and revoke them anytime in Settings > API.

The only limit that will come later is on the number of requests those apps make to your account, because every request has a cost on the servers. Before setting it, I want to learn and test what you need, so the limit is fair and never gets in the way of normal use.

For developers
To get access, message me here on Discord and I'll give you a development key and help with whatever you need. The dev key is limited to 1,000 requests per day (200 reads and 60 writes/minute). Whenever you need it, I'll give you a production key with higher limits.

Later on you'll be able to generate your key yourself from Settings, but for now I'd rather add apps a few at a time to see how the servers behave.

First integrations
I've been talking with SofaTime: they've already started integrating WeTrakr and it should see the light in a few days. It'll most likely be the first app to support it. I'll also reach out to everyone who asked me for an integration, to help as much as I can.

Movies often come out on different days in each country, and WeTrakr shows the date for your country by default. Now you can choose.

Go to Settings → Preferences → Movie release date:

• My country: the release date in your country, or the global date if your country doesn't have one yet (how it works today)
• Global: always the worldwide release date from TMDB

This changes the date you see on movies, and also how Search and Upcoming sort and filter movies by release date. Shows aren't affected, they always use their original premiere date.

Until now, every selected button on a card shared the same color. From today you can choose a color for each one:

Watched, Waiting, Planning, Favorite, Add to list, Ignored (episodes you're not going to watch)

At a glance you'll know what's already watched, what's on your plan and what's saved in a list, without reading a single icon.

Also new: the Add to list button now lights up when the title is already in one of your lists.

The colors apply everywhere you see cards: grids, episode cards and the Next Episode block in list view.

If you already had a custom color, it stays as the starting point for every button.

Item Layout customization is a VIP feature.

The Watched box on a movie or show page got a proper redesign:

• Add Rewatch now logs a rewatch in one click. It takes you straight to the date picker instead of walking you through the options modal first.
• Start again (shows only) resets your episode progress back to episode 1 while keeping every play you have logged.
• Full play history: expand the box to see every single watch with its date and time, and remove any one of them with the X. Not just the last one.
• The progress bar moved up next to your tracking buttons, and it turns green when you hit 100%.

Watched Options is still there: tap the WATCHED button in the tracking grid for date changes, unknown dates and the rest.

Days ago I asked how you wanted to move through long lists, and the answer was clear: infinite scroll on mobile, numbered pages on desktop. That's exactly what just went live.

On desktop every long list now ends with a page bar: Previous, the page numbers, Next. You always know where you are, and you can jump straight back to page 7 instead of scrolling for a minute to find that one show.

On phones and tablets nothing changes. Scrolling stays as smooth as it was, which is what most of you wanted there.

The page lives in the address bar. Hit back and you land on the page you came from, not at the top of the list. Share the link and it opens right where you left it.

This applies everywhere: Watched, Planning, Discover, Browse All, search, your lists, filmographies, comments and the social feed. The Calendar is the one exception.

Not a fan of your device's default? Settings → Preferences → Long lists lets you force numbered pages or infinite scroll on every device.

You can now decide what sits in the navigation bar at the top of WeTrakr.

Hide what you've finished with. Once your apps are connected and your history is imported, the Apps and Import menus are just taking up space. One switch each and they're gone.

Add a menu of your own. Give it a name and up to 5 links: a WeTrakr page you keep coming back to, or anywhere else on the web. It shows up right after Community, and you can drag the links into whatever order you want.

Both live in Settings → Page Layout → Top Navigation Layout. ;)

You rate episodes one by one, but never get around to rating the show itself? Now WeTrakr can do it for you.

How it works Turn on Settings → Ratings → Rate shows from my episode ratings and pick how much of a show you want rated first: every episode, or a percentage (there's a slider).

Once you cross that line, the show gets your episode average as its rating, and it updates itself every time you rate another episode.

Good to know

• The stars show up in a different colour, so you can always tell an automatic rating from one you picked yourself.
• Rating the show yourself replaces it, at any time. Your call always wins.
• It counts as your rating everywhere: your profile, your stats and the title's community average.

Tap the (i) next to "Based on N episode ratings" to see every episode rating behind the average, one badge each, with the same colours as the episode heatmap.

Season 0 has always been invisible to your tracking. Specials never counted towards your progress, never showed up in Next Episodes, and never got marked when you marked a show as watched. From today you can turn them on, for the shows where they actually matter.

Open any show you're tracking and hit Count specials in the actions list. From that moment, for that show:

• Specials count towards your progress and your episodes left
• They appear in Next Episodes, after the regular seasons
• Mark as watched includes them

It's per show on purpose. There's no global switch, because the same toggle that adds three episodes to one show adds hundreds to another: The Chosen has 331 specials against 47 regular episodes. You decide where it's worth it, and we'll warn you before you turn it on somewhere it isn't.

Changed your mind? Hit it again and your progress goes back exactly where it was.

Six rankings, movies and shows side by side:

• Top Rated and Most Rated
• Most Watched and Most Planned
• Most Watched People, the faces you've seen the most
• Best Movie / Best Show, which reads all of the above at once: the score leads, and it's backed by how many people watched it, rated it and have it planned, plus the weight of its cast

And three filters to ask a different question:

• Whose score: ours, the aggregate, or any of the 17 sources we track (IMDb, Letterboxd, TMDB, MyAnimeList…)
• From when: all time, or only releases from the past year, month or week
• With how many votes: from 50 up to half a million, to tell an established classic apart from a release still finding its footing

Change any of them and everything recalculates, Best included. Updated nightly. Play around with it and tell me what you think as always ;)

The old videos block was a four-slot, three thumbnails, a "+12" tile, and no way to tell what any of them were until you clicked.

It's now a horizontal carousel, and every video is there.

Each card tells you what it is before you open it:

• The title, right under the thumbnail
• A type badge on the image: Trailer, Teaser, Clip, Featurette, Behind the Scenes
• A 4K badge when the video is actually 2160p
• Official when it comes from the studio's own channel, not a re-upload
• The publication date, so you can tell this year's trailer from the 2019 teaser

Filter by type.
Above the carousel there's a row of tabs, same as Cast & Crew: All · Trailers · Teasers · Clips · Featurettes · Behind the Scenes · Others.

Only the types that title actually has show up, so you'll never click an empty tab. Looking for the trailer on a page with 53 videos is now one click.

Newest first.
Videos are ordered by publication date, so the current campaign's material is at the front instead of buried in whatever order TMDB felt like returning.

Brighter thumbnails.
The old dark overlay was flattening frames that were already dark to begin with. Both the carousel and the trailer in the sidebar are much easier to read now.

Your own layer
Tick "Show my ratings" and your episode scores appear as their own grid, right under the community one, with both curves drawn over the same axis so you can compare episode by episode. Each grid is signed on the left: the WeTrakr logo for the community, your avatar for you, with a ring for your average and a sample of your line so you always know which curve is whose. Your choice is remembered.

How close are you to everyone else?
Under your avatar there is a percentage. It measures how far your scores sit from the average, relative to how much that show's episodes actually move, not against the full 0 to 10 scale. Community scores usually live in a narrow band, so "somewhere in the same part of the scale" is not the same as agreeing. Hover it for the detail: how many points apart you are, across how many episodes.

Compare with people you follow
Hit Compare and pick up to 3 people you follow. Their episode ratings drop in as extra grids under yours, their line joins the chart in its own colour, and each one gets its own match percentage. The list only offers people who have actually rated episodes of that show, and tells you how many.

Your picks are remembered per show, because who you want to compare with depends on who has watched that one.

Privacy works exactly as everywhere else: someone's ratings show up only if their privacy settings let you see them. Following alone is not enough, and anyone keeping their ratings private does not even appear on the list.
