HELP! Need a dress recommendation! Taupe/ champagne cocktail dress

I am officiating my brother's wedding and I am really struggling to find something to wear.

Things to consider:

  1. Color: Taupe/Champagne. The bride has asked that I wear this color, which is not the best for my skin tone (fair skin, medium dark brown hair).
  2. Dress Code: Cocktail attire, but I am ok going a bit fancier.
  3. Weather: It will be outdoors in Arizona in November. It will probably be 80-70 F
  4. Style: I have 32 DDD bra size, and normally I like to dress a little sexy, but obviously for this occasion I don't want to show too much cleavage, but I still want to feel beautiful.
  5. Cost: Preferably under $400.

Please help with suggestions!

HELP: first black tie wedding and I need a dress

I am attending a black tie wedding in October. I’ve never been to a black tie wedding and I have no clue where to start shopping for dresses, what is appropriate, how long it should be etc.

Any advice or fave websites to shop for an event like this? Bridesmaids are going to be in navy so I think I will look for a green or like burgundy color dress.

“Semi-formal or cocktail attire” wedding guest DC

The dress code is “semi formal or cocktail attire.” It says men are encouraged to wear a suit and tie or button-down with dress pants, and that women can wear a floor-length gown or semi-formal cocktail dress.

Pls help!! Are any of these good options? Do I need to look for shorter/more casual dresses? I figured since floor-length gowns were listed it’d be fun to wear a midi/long dress

It’s an evening wedding in October, next to a river

Advice on how to accessorize this dress for cocktail wedding

Thrifted this dress for a cocktail wedding at a golf course/hotel at the end of the month. Looking for some recommendations on shoes/accessories/hair so it fits the dress code.

I am not a huge heels person, so the shorter the better on that!

TIA!

Dog Outfits (ring bearer/flower girl)

My fiancée and I are getting married in T-month (I’m a very type B bride - the big stuff is taken care of but I have a lot of little details to do still😂). We are being a bit untraditional, no official bridal party just friends helping us out where they can without a formal obligation. We are having flower girls and ring bearers though. Our 2 dogs are like our children as well as the friendliest pups ever and do everything with us, so it is very important to us they are included in our big day. That being said, flower girls will be our female dog, my 7 y/o niece, and my 11 y/o sister. Ring bearers will be our male dog and my 4 y/o nephew. The children are very competent in being able to walk the dogs down the aisle and have a lot of experience from growing up around dogs before anything is asked about it that. I am also be hiring/working with a dog sitter who will be responsible for caring for the dogs throughout the day and making sure they are ready to go down the aisle so that responsibility doesn’t land on any guests or ourselves.

Long story short, I am debating on what to have the dogs wear. Flower girls have dresses with matching bows, so I was thinking of having another matching bow for our flower dog and possibly a harness mounted basket to hold the flowers? My nephew will be wearing suspenders and a bow tie, so I figured our male dog could also have a matching bow tie and I’ve seen ring boxes that could clip to his collar?
I’m not really a huge fan of the dog dresses/tuxes and it doesn’t really fit the vibe of our outdoor wedding anyways.

Has anybody done something like this, and if so what did you end up using?

Bride here - what dress code to use?

Hey yall, we’re doing a very small (20-25 people) wedding in January in north Texas. The reception is a late luncheon at an upscale restaurant, with no DJ or dancing. What dress code should I put on invites?

Our friends and family are a casual bunch but I’ve known them to go all out for Halloween, so I’d like to assume dressing up won’t be too bothersome for them. Of course, I wouldn’t want anyone to go out of their way to purchase a floor length dress or rent a tux, so Black Tie or even BTO are out of the question. However, if I put “semi-formal” or “cocktail attire”, I’m afraid many might be underdressed for the one “fancy” party we’re throwing our whole lives.

Should I just ask for “formal dress code”? Or provide more details? What wording doesn’t suck, but conveys that we’d like them to put effort into their appearance?

Bride - Rehearsal Dinner Dress Help

I want to wear a white 50’s inspired cocktail dress to my rehearsal dinner which will be held at an old prestigious country club. I’ve narrowed it down to these 5 but would like your input before making a decision

“Coastal Formal” - Help me pick

I’m attending an ocean-side (not beach) wedding in early September. The dress code is “coastal formal.” I know 2 other women going are wearing ankle/mid-calf length dresses. Extra info: I’m a winter, my coloring is similar to Anne Hathaway.

Formal/Black Tie Gown Help!

I need help finding a dress/gown for a formal/black tie wedding and would love some recommendations!
I’m looking for something floor length or ankle length, preferably black. Black is definitely my first choice, but I’d also consider a deep burgundy or emerald green.

I’d like something form fitting that works well with an hourglass figure. For the neckline/cut, I’m drawn to sleeveless styles like halter necks, one shoulder, or something similar. Thin straps are an option too.

I originally purchased a strapless corset gown that I absolutely love the look of, but even after alterations, it keeps falling down. I don’t want to spend the entire night pulling my dress up, so I’m hesitant to buy another strapless style.

I’m looking for something elegant and slightly sexy, but still appropriate for a black tie wedding. Basically, I want to look hot without looking like a hoochie mama lol

My budget is pretty tight, and I’m hoping to stay at $250 or less. I’m completely open to buying secondhand as well. I’m just not interested in using a rental service.

Any and all dress recommendations are greatly appreciated!

Business Casual wedding outside Denver on Labor Day weekend.

I suffer from choice paralysis 😫 I've bought the first dress but I am rethinking my decision. I'm only a guest but my friend (the bride) has sent me an example of what one of dresses a bridesmaid will be wearing.

Help! Is this allowed??

Help! I’m wearing this to a friends wedding with red accessories and I am starting to worry it’s too light. My boyfriend and I wanted to subtly match, he’ll be wearing a navy suit, yellow shirt and a red, yellow, and light blue printed tie. Is this okay for a black tie optional event?

Help Please!!! Which dress is most appropriate for a cocktail-to-formal wedding?

Help please!!! I am unable to purchase any other dresses. Which one of these would be the most appropriate for a wedding with cocktail-to-formal attire? It's a summer wedding at a golf course. I'm concerned about the spaghetti straps for the black dress and that the purple dress is too casual. I'm unsure about the green dress since my partner doesn't have anything that matches and I've worn it recently to another wedding.

Wedding Suit

I have a wedding of someone coming up and it will be around next year sometime and I can very much presume I will be a groomsmen. Idk of the suit colour yet but I do think it will/ may be a dark green sea glass colour. But right now it's the accessories I'm thinking of. I'd love to have the flower of the month my granny was born in as she passed a few years ago. But I'd also ,along with that, love to have an old photo of her in my breast pocket with her flower. We were really close with our granny as we were neighbors and the bride has the nickname out granny gave her tattooed on her so I'd like to think she'd appreciate it (btw it's not the name it's like what it actually is if you know what I mean). Then obviously if it's a green suit I'll have a green tie as well and then probably if it's a dark green I'd love to have dark brown shoes too along with the suit. Finally I'd probably just have a plain Casio watch but I don't know if I should leave it or not. Any advice would be great. The picture and flower would be on the outside breast pocket

Edit: I didn't know you were assigned a flower. It's my first wedding

Can't figure out what to wear to my own wedding!

I'm getting married next summer and am struggling to figure out what to wear to my own wedding. I'm a lesbian and not into a traditional white dress or masculine suit. I'm drawn to darker colors (black, navy, grey, purple, etc.) and jumpsuits, separates, or non-masculine suiting. I'm 5'1" and around a US size 10 with more of an hourglass shape, so petite sizing is preferred!

It'll be a summer daytime wedding in a small, indoor venue near Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. Just our nearest and dearest (<20 guests) so we're thinking semi-formal/dressy casual for guests. My fiancée has an incredible made-to-measure, three-piece suit (black suit, blue waistcoat, white shirt) so I want to feel amazing standing next to her. My budget is ideally $1,500 USD or under but I'm willing to be flexible if I find an amazing piece that I can rewear in the future.

Wedding guest

Classic question on if this has too much white in it? Altho it's more cream in person with no white at all.

Bridesmaid dress as wedding guest?

I want to wear this dress to a wedding (as a guest). I know the way its styled in the picture is as a bridesmaid dress and I think it does give very bridesmaid vibes. But I already have the dress and dont want it to just sit in my closet forever. I also feel like the wedding ill be attending is a winter wedding so the colour, length, vibe of the dress totally match that. I dont think the teal will match any of the bride's decor or the bridesmaids dress at the wedding...but im also somehow petrified that there is a possibility the bridesmaids could wear this same dress just in a different colour! Id bring a backup dress with me just in case (i know the possibility is so low).

Is it weird to wear a dress that is very "bridesmaidy" to a wedding as a guest? Is there a way I could style it to make it look less like a bridesmaid gown?

Shortening the length isnt an option. I dont want to wear a short gown to a cold winter wedding!

addition: the dress material (outer layer) is chiffon which i think also kind of gives a bridesmaid vibe. But its so comfortable and flowy which I love too!
