The lehanga is already purchased and is muted sage green color with champagne embroidery (the images are mostly accurate). We are very confused with choosing the suit for the groom.
The bride thinks the cream/ivory looks good and I think the charcoal grey is better.
We are looking for some advice online as we are quite bad in picking the right colors. Thank you!
I have some picked out from Nordstrom online, but want to know more in person and online options. Really don’t want to spend over 200….
I almost got a dress from mew mew and figured out they were a drop shipped.
My parents are throwing us a “meet and greet” where my fiance and his family meet all my parents friends. The dress code is semi formal garden party…. Guests are wearing any shade of pink, family is wearing any shade of green.
I’m trying to look for Champagne, Gold, Terracotta, or Rust.
Can anyone help me out? My mom is stressing me out saying I have to look good…. Hourglassish figure and maybe a size small or medium now…. I’m begging ya Reddit
I bought this dress for a wedding (dress code: cocktail) next month, but I’m completely stuck on what shoes to wear with it.
A few constraints:
I’m 5’9”, so I’m not looking to add much height.
I’d prefer heels no higher than 1.5 inches (flats are fine too).
The wedding venue is on grass, so stilettos are out.
I’d love recommendations for specific shoe styles (exact shoes with links!) that would complement this dress while still looking elegant and wedding-appropriate. My budget is up to $200. Thanks! 😊

Hi everyone. My wedding is coming up in a few months and I am working on the suit I'm having my groomsman wear. I really wanted to do tuxedo's for my wedding but I'm certain that it is a bit formal to do for the wedding i'm having. I've never worn a suit before outside of prom back in highschool. I have a few questions. I'm going to do black suits with white shirts, black bowtie. My first question - is a pleated shirt too much for a suit? A lot of people online say pleated shirts are only for black-tie events wearing a tuxedo. I think they look cool but don't want to be the weird groom that wore a mismatched outfit. Along the same lines - Black button studs? I'm just curious if i'm thinking too hard about this, if I should do whatever I want, or if the internet is pointing me in the right direction. I'm using the black tux for all of our suits. If the studs and the pleated shirts are out - does anyone have any recommendations to spruce up the plain black and white suit? I know that it's my wedding and I should do what I want, but I am worried of what other people will think or say. Wedding attire for guests is semi-formal. Ceremony is in a church, reception at my parents farm. We're doing a lobster bake under a sailcloth tent. Dance floor is old school black and white and we have a full band coming.
Hi! Need advice on a dress for my brother in laws wedding. Bride is requesting I wear sage (closer to silver/blue sage) it can be patterned or plain - I am not a bridesmaid she just wants us to be cohesive for pictures. She also stated there is no specific dress code. This is in October on an Oregon beach with the reception at a beach front brewery that hosts the ceremony and reception. A little stumped due to not having a dress code but so many Sage dresses look like bridesmaid dresses 😅 which I could just be overthinking and have done too much scrolling.
Her color scheme is bronze/rust, Sage, and olive. I’m being asked to match the Sage color from Birdy Grey.
Edit: I totally understand asking for a color code from all guests being unreasonable especially without a dress code but I don’t know if the bride is asking all of the guests to wear a specific color. I do know she is asking me to match what my husband, who is a groomsmen, is going to wear for the family photos. Which I completely understand and am happy to do - just struggling to find something.
I like dress #1 best, but if it's too white I would go with dress #2. I did try on this dress with the bride herself and she liked it and didn't think it was too white, but wonderful if other guests will judge me.
I have a wedding this Saturday and the original dress that I wanted to wear completely did not fit. There’s no way to fit in it. I was going to settle to wear the long satin dress in the color tan from target but I was told that it’s too close to white that I shouldn’t wear it and the dress that is floral. I was also told by two people that that’s too much so I literally have no idea what to wear this wedding. If you have any recommendations if to you, the two options are not suited please feel free to send links and/or in pictures because I literally have only a few days to pick an outfit at this point.
Hey Everyone,
Getting married in a few weeks at an outdoor farm and wearing a tuxedo. My finance is concerned that traditional, “shiny” tuxedo shoes will look out of place or too dressed up. I’m a little lost on where to go from here - I don’t want to dress down the tux with simple oxfords, and I’m not a fan of loafers.
Any suggestions on a happy medium?
I realized that writing a wedding card is surprisingly difficult depending on the relationship.
For example:
What situation made you stare at a blank card for 20 minutes trying to figure out what to write?
I'd love to hear some real examples.
Added the requirements of the wedding attire too! Wedding is on Cape Cod, at a beach club!
I’m the maid of honor for a wedding in Aug and the bride has given almost no direction for wedding party other than to wear solids.
Wedding guests are asked to wear bright colors and florals, but again no patterns for wedding party. Pretty casual wedding overall.
Bride is wearing light pink.
Wedding will be outdoors and will be pretty hot, so I don’t want anything super tight. Ideally, a desirable fabric for a hot wedding but I know that might not be possible.
I am curvy and wear a 2x. The last complicating factor is that I prefer some type of sleeve.
Recommendations are much appreciated!
TL;DR
Looking for a solid color dress I can wear as a MOH to a pretty casual wedding that won’t be miserable in the heat. Comes in plus sizes (2x) and has sleeves.
Hi , crazy reach but I’m in LA area looking to have a designer, doesn’t necessarily have to be bridal but preferably queer, make a wedding outfit for my 2027 wedding. If anyone has any recommendations or people they have worked with recently for a reasonable price, let me know.
I have full sketches of my designs.
Okay sooo here is the dilemma: I heard it’s not good to wear red to a wedding! The only reason I have this house of CB dress in the first photo is bc I thrifted it and it’s the only formal dress I own! I also don’t know which dress would suit me best. The wedding is a month away (don’t yell at me they decided to get married in two months!) and I’m freaking out trying to find a dress I will feel good in anddd comfortable. I love the style of these dresses but they are stinkin expensive! Does anyone know where I can buy resale or rent one of these? I’ve looked on marketplace, depop, poshmark, mercari, lolll… Does anyone have any dupe recommendations or any similar dresses to these? Please help I think I would have to order this week to get it on time or i’m so screwed! 😭
The wedding will be outdoorsy, at an AirBNB. I wasn’t given any more information on it 😗 This is an Indian/Pakistani wedding, but the brides (my fren) family will not be wearing traditional clothing or anything like that so I will also omit. I will say I am excited to see the other guests attire, all their clothes are incredible 😫
DRESS CODE: Formal (My friend told guests to wear whatever they feel comfortable wearing bc she is a sweetie :,) but I would like to wear a formal dress anyhow )
Prohibited colors: red, white, baby blue
i’m going to my first wedding this weekend, dress code is semi formal wondering if this is appropriate. i’m wearing closed toe black heels, it does have a slit on the side. any advice appreciated 🩷
The dress code is semi-formal or cocktail attire. It's a Chinese wedding with a tea ceremony and then a banquet dinner reception. There are no wedding colors since there is no wedding party or bridesmaids. I just can't wear black, red, or white.
Edited to add that the wedding FAQ says "or cocktail attire"
hey everyone! i have a summer wedding that im attending in July and found this gorg floral dress at Marshall’s. Its semi-formal, and I’m wondering what kind of accessories to pair with it? I have nude heels and I’m thinking of putting my hair in an updo. thank you!!🫶🏽

Edit: hi again! I just wanted to make a few clarifications since I first posted:
- I did show this dress to family, friends, and even strangers before buying, and all have said that this wasn’t “bridal” looking at all.
- In person (under natural light) the base leans more ivory/cream than pure stark white.
- The dress code is semi-formal/ formal and will be outdoors by a lake on the water.
- some folks have mentioned that it looks slightly big in the photos- that is true, as I wore my usual size as seen in the photos, but was able to find a smaller size that fits like a glove!
I also want to make it known, that I’d never dress to outshine the bride 😭 I just genuinely thought this worked beautifully for the occasion. thank you for keeping it kind on here & to those who’ve given accessory suggestions🫶🏽
