Hello! I am hoping this group can help me find a dress because I am STRUGGLING!

About the wedding/dress code:

• Ceremony at orthodox church, reception at local restaurant
• Bride/groom are getting married at the church because of their parents. They are not very religious themselves, and don't go to church regularly. Both drink, go out and party, etc. They are fairly casual - they only reserved the church/restaurant and sent out invites a few weeks ago
• Invite says "formal attire," but also "appropriate church wear" and "please no shorts or hats" and "shoulders are OK but no spaghetti straps"
• Early november in northern CA

About me:

• I'm 35 y/o, tall (5'11), 1 year postpartum and definitely still carrying extra weight (and insecure about it)
• Since I am tall, most dresses that hit at the waist don't fit me right. Short dresses are usually TOO short, as are full length dresses (unless they come in tall sizes!), so thinking midi length might be best
• I have broad shoulders so don't like anything with ruffles/padding/anything extra at the shoulders
• I don't wear pink and I stay away from polka dots and most florals (they just look bad on me)
• The groom is my partner's long time close friend

Budget under $150

I've been looking for days and not finding a good fit. Help?

I’ve been constantly researching and looking for a bridesmaid dress for my best friend’s upcoming wedding, where I’ll be the maid of honor, and I’m getting a little overwhelmed 😅.

I recently ordered 6 dresses from Azazie to try on and realized that the sizing is WAY off for me. I followed their measurements, but all of the dresses ended up being much too big and way too long. I also realized that I really don’t like the fabric I originally chose, which was stretch satin, it just looked cheap. It seems like a lot of their dresses are made in that fabric, at least from the options I’ve been looking at.

I’m sending all 6 back this weekend and will probably order another 6 from Azazie, but I’m hoping to try some different fabrics this time, particularly chiffon and velvet. Of course, pretty much all of the velvet dresses I’m interested in have been unavailable since I first started looking at them, which has been super frustrating. 😭

I also looked into AW Bridal and Revelry because I saw that they offer try-on options, but then I realized that they only have a specific selection of dresses available to try on. I also believe AW Bridal only lets you try certain colors depending on what they have available, which doesn’t really help me since I want to be able to see the actual dress and color I’m considering.

So I wanted to ask Reddit:

Are there any reliable online bridesmaid dress websites that allow you to try on basically any dress you want, rather than limiting you to a small try-on selection? Ideally, I’d also like to be able to choose more than 3 dresses to try on at a time.

And if there really aren’t many options like that, are there any good physical stores/boutiques I should check out besides David’s Bridal?

I know there are a lot of bridal boutiques, but I worry that they won’t have a huge selection or the specific color/fabric I’m looking for. I also have pretty bad anxiety, so I’m honestly a little nervous about going somewhere where I might feel pressured by a salesperson to purchase something just because I’m there. 😅 I’d much rather be able to browse and try things on without feeling obligated to buy.

For reference, I’m in the Albany, NY area, so if anyone local has recommendations, I’d especially love to hear about stores/boutiques around Albany, Clifton Park, Saratoga Springs, Ballston Spa, or nearby areas.

Basically, I’m looking for somewhere with a large selection, lots of colors/fabrics, and preferably the ability to try on multiple dresses without feeling pressured to purchase.

Would this dress be appropriate for a 20yo attending a 4pm wedding in Tennessee later this month? The dress code was described as semi-formal.

Going to a wedding where the theme is funky formal/ cocktail attire. I’m helping to suggest outfits to some of the men going.

Also the theme is “funky formal” but the formal part is very lax - the bride said she doesn’t care if they even wear a full suit

The maid of honor is wearing a long silver sequin gown. Her Fiancé has a blue and black suit and I feel like he doesn’t need to get a new one but instead other pieces to make it funky but still compliment her.

There’s a black shirt with rhinestones on PHIX that i personally think would be amazing with the black suit and some silver accessories but it’s pretty expensive for someone who would probably wear it once.

Anyone have any recommendations ? Would love to hear them!

On the 16th of this month, my cousin is getting married, and I believe it’s going to be an outdoor wedding. Their color scheme is fall colors, and I’m trying to figure out what to wear that will be nice and appropriate for a wedding while also keeping me warm.
I’m not really into feminine attire, so I’m looking for something that doesn’t involve dresses or skirts. I’d especially like ideas for a pantsuit, suit, dress pants with a nice top, or another formal outfit that would be comfortable for an outdoor wedding. I’d also love suggestions for fall colors that would look good for a wedding and work well for an outdoor setting.
