Signs everywhere that fireworks are illegal. Where are the cops? It's a war zone out there

What kind of police department waits half an hour to send someone to a home invasion call? What kind of agency apprehends a suspect who is drunk, tweaking tweaking and just broke into a home, but lets him walk off without so much as a ticket? The world wonders....

I have dealt with westminster pd multiple times involving violent suspects and they have done nothing about it at every turn. If they wont act, then who will? If they wont even send someone until long after the incident is over, it feels as if we dont need them to exist as an agency and we would be better off handling things ourselves.

Anyone else notice the 3 random low flying planes circling Westminster around 9pm on the 4th

My older child plays club volleyball and my younger one is looking to try a new sport. Rather than pay for a club before they decide if they like it I was curious if the rec or any other recreational places have youth leagues or drop ins? Doesn't look like our Westy Rec has a program. I've been pointed to Apex and the Y but wondering if any other people have experienced any youth vball in the area. Thanks.

Going east of Sheridan it’s look really rough

Yesterday morning around 6:20 AM, I was the victim of a hit and run on I 25 south, in the left lane, right before getting off onto 270 eastbound. There was a line of traffic backed up getting onto 270E due to the construction, and this guy rear-ended me. He was in a black pick up truck , and I was driving a grayish-green 2021 Toyota RAV4. He immediately pulled up next to me on my passenger side so I couldn’t see his plates. I rolled down my window, and he either didn’t speak English, or was pretending not to speak English, but gestured over to the right shoulder. Stupidly I pulled off in front of him, and as I was concentrating on crossing three lanes of busy traffic, I totally lost him and did not get any plates. Just making this post to see if anyone happened to see anything, I would really appreciate it if you could reach out with any details that you have about the other car.

In addition, if anyone has any recommendations of any Facebook groups etc. that I could post in as well, that would be great

I live in Sheridan green and I've been hearing cheering and what sounds like air horns or vuvuzelas since my dog and I took our first walk around 4 today and they're still going strong. It looked like it was in the far part of the westminster city park by the baseball fields but we didn't walk down that far today. I googled it but the only event that came up was the spongebob movie at westminster high school. It's not of any importance, just was curious what was happening. Thanks all!

Just got home about 45 mins ago and noticed two police cars and a coroner/medical examiner van at the Aspire building across from mine (Westminster Row). No fire trucks, ambulances, sirens, or other signs of an active emergency.

A while later, they rolled out a body being removed in a body bag. After that, two police officers and two women wearing lanyards and carrying clipboards came out of the building and left.

Obviously nobody here can know for sure what happened, but based on your experience (law enforcement, EMS, medical examiner’s office, etc.), what are the most common situations that would result in a response like this? Would it more likely be a wellness check, unattended natural death, overdose, suicide, or something else?

Just curious about the process and what typically leads to this type of scene.

Why does Westminster even bother to have fireworks laws if they NEVER enforce them?
The past two nights, it's been constant. We're in a draught. Literally dangerous fire conditions. and still nothing? Either enforce the laws or take them off the books.

Cutting back and hopefully digging up Siberian elm and green ash trees in the backyard, and will end up with at least a pickup truck load of limbs and branches. We’re hoping to find a place that will take yard waste apart from using a bagster. Thanks for suggestions.
