When I was a baby I had blue eyes. Some family members still say they are blue. Maybe because of the ring that has some blue in it? Also, what is the thick ring called around the iris?

The color always changes a little depending on the light and angle.
Here are some pics of my eyes. 1st is my more freckled eye in sunlight. 2nd is my other less freckled eye in a mirror. 3rd is my freckled eye in a mirror. The freckles are just eye freckles and one of my eyes has them much more prominently.
