Can You Figure Out Which Triangle Comes Next?

Hi everyone, we’re back with another puzzle.
First, thank you to everyone who took part in our previous puzzle. We received several interesting answers, including some alternative interpretations that made the discussion even better.
As usual, we picked three community explanations that stood out:
u/Small-Tailor6967 — We chose this explanation because it clearly connected both key parts of the pattern: the last shape carrying over into the next box and the shape with the most vertices being shaded. It also explained clearly why those rules lead to B.
u/ChaosRealigning — A very clean and concise explanation. They identified both the continuity rule and the shading rule without overcomplicating the solution.
u/vexedthespian — Another strong explanation that independently recognized the relationship between consecutive groups and that the shape with the most sides is the one that gets shaded.
Thank you to them, and to everyone else who shared a solution. We really enjoy seeing the different ways people approach these puzzles.
Now it’s time for our new puzzle.
Take a close look at the sequence in the image and choose the option you think should replace the question mark.
But don’t just give us the letter. Tell us why you chose it and explain the pattern you found. We’re especially interested in the reasoning that leads you to your answer.
As with our previous puzzles, we’ll select some of the best community explanations and feature them on our website with the Reddit usernames of the people who wrote them.
You can also view the puzzle and submit your solution directly on our website:

So, what’s your answer: A, B, C, or D?
And more importantly: what pattern do you see?

Can You Figure Out Which Set of Shapes Comes Next?

Hi everyone,
First, a big thank you to everyone who took part in our previous puzzle. We really enjoyed reading through the different solutions and seeing how many different approaches could lead to the answer.
As with our previous puzzles, we selected three community explanations that stood out:
Cyrrex91 was selected for finding a creative alternative pattern. Instead of following the top and bottom sequences separately, they approached the puzzle through the total number of dots and still found a path to the correct answer.
BekindConan stood out for giving a clear and well-structured explanation of both sequences, including an interesting way of describing the upper pattern through doubling and halving.
nunya_busyness1984 was selected for not only identifying the numerical pattern correctly, but also recognizing that the unusual positioning of the dots was irrelevant to the actual solution.
Thank you to all three, and to everyone else who shared their reasoning.
You can read the full official explanation of the previous puzzle, along with the selected community solutions, on our website. The selected explanations are featured there with their Reddit usernames.
Now, on to our new puzzle.
This one requires a closer look at the shapes, their properties, their positions, and how the groups change across the sequence.
Which option should come next: A, B, C, D, or E?
More importantly, tell us why you chose it. We are looking forward to seeing the different patterns and explanations you find.
We’ll review the responses again and select some of the most interesting explanations to feature alongside the official solution on our website.

Thanks in advance to everyone who takes part. Good luck!

Can You Figure Out Which Domino Comes Next?

Hi everyone,
Thanks again to everyone who took part in the last puzzle. There were a lot of interesting answers, and what I enjoyed most was seeing how different people could reach the same answer using completely different approaches.
As usual, I went through the explanations and picked three that stood out for their clarity, reasoning, and distinct ways of looking at the pattern:
🥇 u/AntLost4161
Their solution used elimination across both rows and columns. Instead of relying on a rotation sequence, they noticed that an arrow direction should not repeat within a row or column. Applying that constraint to the missing cell eliminated three options and left C. I selected this one because the rule could be checked against multiple parts of the grid rather than a single sequence.
🥈 u/Brilliant_Caramel_10
They separated the cells into odd and even positions and discovered two alternating sequences. The odd-numbered cells followed one upper-position pattern, while the even-numbered cells followed another along the bottom. This was a simple and very easy-to-follow way of reaching C.
🥉 u/Crows0ng
They approached the entire grid as one continuous sequence, describing it as reading the cells “like a book.” Instead of restarting the pattern at the end of each row, they identified a four-part cycle that continues into the next row and repeats. I liked this explanation because it offered a different way of looking at the structure of the whole grid.
Thank you to all three of you for taking the time to explain your reasoning, and thank you to everyone else who joined the discussion as well. There were several other interesting interpretations, including alternative answers, and they made the discussion much more interesting.
Now for today’s puzzle.

Take a close look at the sequence and choose A, B, C, or D.
As always, I’m more interested in how you reached your answer than just the letter itself. If you spot a rule, explain your reasoning in the comments.
You can also find the puzzle here:

I’ll go through the responses again and feature some of the most interesting explanations with the next puzzle.
Good luck.
