Wii games freezing and crashing in the middle

I just modded my Wii last week with the latest cIOS and USB GX loader on a 128 gb SD card. I followed all the instructions on the guide. I loaded games from Vimm with TinyWiiBackup manager, and most of the games work just fine.

New Super Mario Bros Wii randomly freezes and the game goes unresponsive. The audio still plays, but the video is frozen and controls don’t work. I have to power off the Wii but I lose my save data in the game.

Super Mario Galaxy will 100% of the time freeze at the bowser cutscene and I have to shut off the Wii to fix it. I can’t get past the cutscene so I can’t even play!

Any ideas on what to do to fix?

I’m trying to get black ops 2 but I can’t find any sites with it and I tried the internet archive it didn’t work it said I need to reformat sd card on wup installer so someone please help

First time Wii modder 🤠 games not showing up?

Asking on behalf of my husband, I think he’s tired of me asking him to mod my Wii 😌

anyway last weekend he got all the way through the modding process but the games aren’t showing up? Does anyone know what might be going on? Adding a video to show what happens!

We are fairly new to modding and have only done a ds and vita so this is new to us.

Game suddenly zoomed out and the Wii remote cursor isn’t working

I was launching my apps/wads with YAWM modmii so that they’d appear on the Wii Home Screen and it worked but my Resident evil 4 game suddenly stopped working. I made the mistake of immediately trying to turn my Wii off after I installed my WADS instead of clicking the home button so that my Wii could restart on its own and take me back to the homebrew channel. It ended up taking me to a black screen with a few white sentences and then rebooted on its own. Every game works besides my RE4. When I open the game, the screen is now slightly zoomed out and my Wii cursor is no where on the screen, the A button doesn’t work either. However I can click the home button and the cursor comes back up. I just can’t interact with the game screen at all 😭 the game itself isn’t frozen though, after a while it starts playing the trailers for the game which it normally does. I know I messed up but is there anything I can do? Or do I just have to delete the game, redownload, and start it over 💔

Mario Kart Wii Wiimmfi not working via USB Loader GX

Hi there,

I hope this is the right place to ask this, I was concerned someone would ban me for piracy if I tried asking this in another community for example.

I am having issues connecting to Wiimmfi for Mario Kart Wii when using USB Loader GX. What seems to happen is that when I attempt to connect to Wiimmfi it gets softlocked to "Connecting to Nintendo WFC...".

What I find incredibly odd is that when I use the disc and load the disc via USB Loader GX, it connects to Wiimmfi with no issues. However, my Wii's disc drive has been having issues lately so this meant I had to get a WBFS of the game. It seems to only happen when I use a WBFS of the game and I'm uncertain as to why, could it be some anti piracy measurements?

What I also find incredibly odd is that if I play another WBFS game, it connects to Wiimmfi perfectly fine? (e.g. Smash Bros Brawl and Gti Club).

If anyone may have an idea for why this is, please let me know, thanks!
