I just modded my Wii last week with the latest cIOS and USB GX loader on a 128 gb SD card. I followed all the instructions on the guide. I loaded games from Vimm with TinyWiiBackup manager, and most of the games work just fine.

New Super Mario Bros Wii randomly freezes and the game goes unresponsive. The audio still plays, but the video is frozen and controls don’t work. I have to power off the Wii but I lose my save data in the game.

Super Mario Galaxy will 100% of the time freeze at the bowser cutscene and I have to shut off the Wii to fix it. I can’t get past the cutscene so I can’t even play!

Any ideas on what to do to fix?

New to modding here! Unfortunately, I don’t have either an SD card or a USB hard drive/ssd. I’m on a tight budget, so I was curious if I should just buy a larger SD card and store everything on that, or by an SD card and cheap HDD/SSD.

I only want to play Wii games, and I don’t expect to download a ton of them so 320gb would be the max (way more than needed tbh)

Any recommendations for the way to go? If HDD/SSD, any cheap ones that are compatible? If I just use an SD card, can I still use USB Loader GX?

I just got a new (to me) Wii and I’m heavily considering jailbreaking it. I read the whole guide and am confident that I can do it, but I am fairly new to this.
Is it worth the risk of potentially bricking my Wii forever? How high is the risk?

I’ve read my fair share of complaints about OTAs here and I’m very aware of the risks, but this one is interesting. Flight from San Francisco (SFO) to Calgary, CA (YYC) is $350 round trip on Trip.com or Kiwi.com and $1200 directly from the airline (WestJet). The difference is insane, so I’m highly considering using the third-party booking service instead of the airline. Flight is in 3 weeks and it is international which worries me a bit. Any thoughts?

Anyone know of any public pianos in South Lake Tahoe? Something I could just walk in and play. Maybe on the street, in a restaurant, at a hotel, etc. Thanks!
