Need advice(1st service)

I bought my new harley x440s on May 3, 2026. My Odo reads 350km now..... First service is scheduled at 750km. But, there is a sudden plan with my bike of a trip of total distance of 800km. So literally my Odo will read nearly 1100km...... What should I do now.... When should I give my bike for service???

Weird hole near the fuel lid cap, besides key point

Hey people,
Does anyone know if this hole is supposed to be there, or is it problematic and what could be probable cause for it ?
I'm worried because it doesn't look like it's factory made, what steps should I take next ?

I thought motorcycle earplugs were pointless… until I actually tried them.

After clocking almost 8,000 kms in the past 8 months, I was still delaying buying earplugs. Never tried them before, so I always thought, “kitna hi difference hoga?”

Recently, I got one of those Amazon notifications saying these 3M earplugs were on discount. Pretty sure it was their usual price, but I placed the order anyway. That’s how I finally ended up trying them.

I’m currently using the basic 3M foam earplugs (uncorded) with my MT Thunder 3 Pro. No Bluetooth speakers or intercom setup.

First impressions?

The moment I put them on, I could instantly feel the noise isolation. Took the bike out for a quick city ride and the silence felt weirdly satisfying because I wasn’t used to it.

Later that same day, I hit the highway for around an hour on my usual route, and that’s where I actually witnessed the magic. The difference was dramatic. Almost on a completely different level.

Pros

• You can still hear traffic around you easily, including horns.

• Wind noise becomes almost non-existent till around 60–70 kmph. Above that, you can still hear wind, but not at the level where it becomes annoying or harmful to your ears.

• Highway riding feels WAY more relaxed and less tiring.

• They fit perfectly if you use the right insertion technique. Since the foam expands according to your ear canal shape, almost everyone gets a proper seal.

• Honestly feels like a must-have upgrade for highway rides.

Cons

• In bumper-to-bumper traffic, you might miss the sound of smaller car engines behind you while filtering through gaps. Keep checking your mirrors properly before squeezing through traffic.

• You’ll have to speak noticeably louder if you want to talk to your pillion while riding. A basic intercom setup would help a lot here.

Not really cons, but things I noticed

• I didn’t feel sleepy, but I feel if someone rides for 3+ hours continuously with earplugs on, the reduced noise and calmer environment might make them feel a bit sleepy.

• After around 1.5 hours of continuous riding, I felt a tiny bit of discomfort in my ears. Could also be because it was literally my first ride ever using earplugs.

Final verdict

Definitely get earplugs if you ride regularly, especially on highways. Once you use them, there’s honestly no going back.

And more importantly, your ears will thank you in the long run.

I’ll continue using these and probably post an update in the comments after using them for a few more rides.

For anyone who still hasn’t tried earplugs yet, just buy a pair and test them once. You get like 20 pairs for under ₹250, which honestly feels ridiculously cheap for the value they provide.

Also, normal cotton balls don’t even come remotely close to proper earplugs.

I know there are better and more expensive motorcycle-specific earplugs out there, but I haven’t tried those, yet.

I have been trying for two days but I am not able to close the utility box.

The sc guy showed me during the delivery but now I am not figuring it out.

It should not be this complicated!

Need opinion on H-D x440T colors

I'll be booking the x440T this month but I'm completely lost when it comes to colors. Color is a very subjective topic hence wanted to know which color would you get.

Here is what I feel about each color:

1. Vivid Black: Classic harley color. But the orange detailing doesn't pop. Makes it look dull.

2. Pearl Blue: Safest option in my opinion. The color is almost black with a tint of blue. The red sticker gives a good contrast. But nothing special about this color. Just safe and generic

3. Pearl White: Eye magnet, gives it a unique feel but also makes it feel like a toy bike. I like this color but am quite concerned about the bike looking like it lacks muscle.

4. Pearl Red: Bold color, almost like a statement. Love that color but I'm certain it's not meant for my personality

I'm most confused between blue and white. There is no clear winner for me, pros and cons. All opinions welcome.

I've also created an anonymous poll if you want to see what others think, link in the pinned comment.

Riding groups for X440 in Bangalore?

Are there any riding groups for X440 in Bangalore? Or even groups with all sort of bikes included.

Preferably looking for groups with people who are not judgemental about riding in moderate speed. because I do ride fast but cautiously, like I never throttle unless the stretch of road ahead of me is clearly registered in my head and that might slow down the group a bit.

And definitely don't wanna hang out with people who whine "It is Hero Davidson and not Harley Davidson". No sir.

Would love to connect if there are such groups.

X440-S bar end mirrors

Hi guys, I am looking for bar end mirrors for my x440. I am not getting something suitable for my bike.

I checked with my showroom guy, he is saying it's not possible to use bar end of X440-T, but seen some redditors using the same.

Any suggestions or link if any of you guys are using any type of bar ends. If possible please share a snap of it as well.
