I was asking about essential accessories like crash guard
How much they cost if you buy official accessories from harley showroom
today, 3rd july 2026, i spent the evening with my x440, parked by the road, watching the sun set.
about 10,000 kilometres ago, i bought a motorcycle. somewhere along the way, it became much more than that. it became my home, my safe place.
i've loved every bit of it. the thump, the character of that air cooled engine, the heat rising onto my legs, the slight vibrations in the bar end mirrors, the fact that a pillion practically needs a backrest to survive, and even the little quirks that make it less than perfect. the messy wires, the imperfect fit and finish, the moments when it reminds you that it's a machine with its own personality.
people often compare motorcycles on paper. power, features, competition, value for money. but i think if you're trying to compare this bike to everything else in its price range, then maybe this bike was never meant for you.
this motorcycle is about a feeling.
that feeling when you throw a leg over it for the first time and instantly know, "yep, this is the one." love at first ride, if you want to call it that.
this machine has seen parts of me that very few people ever will. it has been there on my best days and, more importantly, on my worst ones. on days when everything felt heavy, i'd put on my gear, start the engine and just ride. somewhere between the thump of the engine and an empty stretch of road, things would become lighter.
for a while, i would forget everything and simply be grateful. for the road, for the ride and for the life i'm living.
this post isn't a review.
it's just gratitude.
gratitude that i got the opportunity to own this machine. gratitude for every kilometre, every sunrise and sunset, every late night ride and every quiet conversation i've had with myself while sitting behind these handlebars.
10,000 kms down.
and i still turn around to look at it after parking <3
Saw this custom X440 and now I can't unsee it.
It genuinely looks like something Harley could have sold as a factory "Bobber Edition."
Does it look better than stock, or is this a case of "trying too hard"?
Drop your honest opinions I'd love to know what real riders think.
Went to a Hero service center yesterday to get my number plate fixed. While removing the screw with a drill, the mechanic drilled into my front mudguard, leaving a hole.
When I pointed it out, they casually said, "It happens, we can't do anything." I asked to speak to the manager and was made to wait 45 minutes.
When the service manager, Harish, finally came, I started recording the conversation for proof. The moment he saw my phone, he started shouting at me, saying I couldn't record him. Instead of resolving the issue, he told me to leave the service center and said they wouldn't do anything.
Is this how Hero service centers normally handle customer complaints? What's the best way to escalate this? This is a Hero Premia Centre.
Hi, I am planning on upgrading my bike, I am currently riding a Pulsar 220F bought on 2023 clocked 50K kms, but the ownership experience with the bike especially with the showroom mafias and their scams has put a big hole in my heart on the BAJAJ brand.
I have the following bikes on list for the upgrade
Triumph T4
Honda Highness 350
Hero Davidson X440
RE Scram 440
The reason I have these bikes shortlisted bikes is that I have a strict limitation of having a single bike garage ( Family already have 2 scooters and a 125cc for dad), The above mentioned bikes seem like they will make a good single bike for daily commutes and for touring with buddies,
My requirements are,
Need to stay on 100 to 110 as some of my buddies have Ninjas and Interceptors so need to stay with their pace at times
Reliable ( Dont want to have the experience I had with the Bajaj)
Decent road presence ( I dont mind getting lost in the traffic, I am not a standout guy anyway)
Service network
Now that I know 3 out of 4 bikes have decent service network in tier 1 and tier 2 cities
But the X440 is the only bike that stays a mystery, as the online search is not taking me anywhere with just 4 showroom ( both HD and Hero premia included) in chennai and 6 Premia showroom in south India.
NEED ASSISTANCE FROM THE FELLOW HD X440 USERS IN TAMILNADU ESPECIALLY IN CHENNAI ON HOW YOU GUYS LIVE WITH THE BIKE AND IS IT WORTH TAKING A RISK OF BUYING THE BIKE WITH SUCH A SMALL NETWORK.
OTHER THAN THAT FELLOW USERS OF REDDIT CAN POST THEIR EXPERIENCE TOO.
THANKS IN ADVANCE
Got this bike delivered from showroom few days ago. Really happy with it. Seating is comfortable. Really good suspension. Also I heard people complaining about tyre grip in wet roads, so not so sure about it. Coming from a TVS Radeon, this feels like a very huge upgrade. The torque, the power, the feel, everything. Sad that I had to let go of my Radeon, it was a great bike, but I’m loving this one. Was confused between this and Speed400. Closed my eyes and just went for this one (loved the color too). 3 days since I got it. Really loving it. Felt a bit heavy initially but now it’s ok. I’m a 5’7M. Would love to hear tips and any other stuff from experienced owners. What modifications do I get? Do I keep it stock for now?
I have had serious bad experiences with my X440, among the first batches bought, among the first to encounter their engine issues, have visited the service center almost 15 times, 10 times for the same issue, yet it is unresolved.
It's lik moody, sometimes it just runs smoothly for 100kms and then it will just breakdown 15 times in 10 kms, have taken it to service centre multiple times, everytime they say the issue is resolved, but everytime the same story is repeated, I am so frustrated that I feel like I should burn it.
Help this frustrated Human.
I have tried their customer care have taken it to multiple service centres in different cities yet the story doesn't changes at all

I had my right side mirror vibrating. So Now when I check this, we do not have anything to tight/loose this bolt on mirrors(image attached). The one they gave first to adjust mirrors but not this part. Can someone tell me what's the size so I can get one.
Also while fitting mirrors, the part which you see which comes out on mirrors, if that part is supposed to go perfectly in bike's part then it fits something like this(image attached). That's the reasone I was looking at fiting the side bolt on mirror.
Can anyone confirm that the facilitation charge is negotiable in the on-road price quotation?
My x440t's right mirror is vibrating. Whenever the rpm is high it starts vibrating. Even when doing cold start and rpm is high initially then it starts vibrating and making a sound. And to surprise there is nothing like his on left mirror. I already checked 3-4 times by removing and again attaching the mirror.
Anyone facing same issue?? And what could be solution
Gives a different raw muscular look just with the sissy bar and mirror setup which i keep changing downwards to upwards
Kindly suggest some good designs !! I really wanna change the stickers and paint 🎨 as its too boring and basic .
finally x440t backrest is available in Bangalore .. Royal Custom Brand ..
I am looking to sell a pair of unworn Axor Viper gloves, size Large, which were purchased within the last fifteen days. Unfortunately, the sizing is not suitable for my requirements. Interested parties are encouraged to contact me.
At 5’2”, I feel like Sid riding on top of Dobson in Ice Age! Still getting used to handling the bike on my tippy toes but I am actively reminding myself to put only one leg down and now it’s become so much better! 🙂↔️
I am newbie to riding but this bike makes me feel so comfortable! I can’t feel the weight of the bike at all when it’s moving. U-turns and tight turns are what scare me and driving the bike up on slopes to park at places and to get the bike down is still a nightmare. I actively look for places where I don’t have to park at awkward places because it’s embarrassing when I’ve to get it out later!
I insist the pillions to inform me beforehand when they’re about to sit or disembark from the bike because I need to be aware of it to handle them considering my height. Other than that, absolutely loving the bike. Also experiencing rains once a while here, so I avoid riding in rains since people here mentioned the tyre grip isn’t so good on wet roads. It’ll now go for its first servicing in couple weeks! Looking forward for the bike to be much smoother and hopefully better mileage too.
To those people who are short and are looking for which bike to go for, I’d recommend giving this bike a shot because I feel the weight distribution is such that it can be handled with a bit of practice and care. Unfortunately, can’t do anything about the height but w careful driving and of course planning, it is doable! 🙃
Any tips/ suggestions/ advice or recommendations that you may have for me, please feel free to share! 🌻
Going to buy a x440 T which colour looks better customised?
Today I went to change the tires on my bike from the stock zapper ones. When they tried to remove the rear tyre, the axle bolt was stuck and was not budging. They asked me to go to service center and resolve the issue. At service centre I came to know that this is the sixth bike with the same issue they had in this premia showroom. They told me that they would cut and remove the bolt. So I had to buy new bolt and nut pair and these cost 800+ rupees itself. They cut out the old one and assembled the new ones and then only could go for tyre change.
Have any of you came across this issue. I will add photos of the bolt after they cut it out. As you can see few threads are missing from the bolt.
Also I did not get warranty for this. If this is a common issue then shouldn’t it come under warranty. Manufacturing defect, design defect etc.
I feel that things are not lasting much in this bike. So fragile motorcycle. This is the third issue
First issue. Clutch cable broke at 5000kms did not get warranty
Second issue. Gear position sensor issue, got warranty for this
Third issue. Axle bolt damaged 14000km
Rear MRF tyre could go for few more kms but I decided to change them as the tread wear mark has been exceeded and I don’t want to take risk ( went with Michelin tyres)
