The Order of Santa Claus

I received a special delivery today. It was the official Order of Santa Claus welcoming kit. I am now an official Santas Helper!!! Complete with a letter addressed to me with my first mission. I'm extremely excited to be a part of this bc I'll be able to help spread the Christmas spirit all year long, but when I eventually have grandkids (hopefully not for a long time) they'll be able to see that I have a connection to Santa!

Seeking 1980’s - 1990’s Christmas Tree Ideas.

Hi Christmas lovers. We’re halfway there! (June 25th).

I’m hoping you can suggest design ideas for a 1980’s - 1990’s themed Christmas tree I want to create this year. I definitely remember the c7 multi colored bulbs, but what else should decorate with? I’d prefer LED lights, but they have to look like the old soft glow incandescents. I hate the harsh, overly saturated, LED Christmas lights! I’ve seen people here talk about Tru Tone LED lights (the post photo is from their site). Should I get those? If so, how many bulbs for a 5 foot tree? I remember using less c7 lights on our trees before we switched to mini string lights.

I appreciate your suggestions for my upcoming totally rad Christmas tree!

Christmas planning 2026

Christmas Planning 2026 🎄

Has anyone else started their Christmas shopping yet?

A few ornaments that have been on my wishlist just went on sale, so I decided to start early. I love collecting heirloom pieces rather than buying lots of disposable decorations.
Some of the brands I'm looking at are Maileg, Georg Jensen, Fabelab, Dunoon (their Christmas mugs), Swarovski stars, and even some Lego Christmas Gift with Purchase sets. I also found a Grinch puzzle that I'm saving for the holiday season at a great price.
I've been starting my Christmas shopping in July for the past couple of years, and it's honestly saved me quite a bit of money. It also lets me enjoy the build-up to Christmas instead of rushing to buy everything in December.
Does anyone else do this? I'd love to hear what heirloom-quality brands or Christmas traditions you recommend investing in.
