Looking to apologize….

About 3 weeks ago a young woman nudged the back of my car with her pickup. I was stopped at a light when it happened. I jumped out and dropped an f bomb or two, telling her to pay attention and don’t text and drive—I don’t know that she actually was texting. But it was barely a scratch and I ended telling her be careful and to use the entire episode as a learning lesson. I initially spoke/yelled at her, and probably terrified her. If you’re out there and are reading this, or if someone else knows her, “ I apologize for my behavior. It was unnecessary and there was practically zero damage.” She offered to give me her info but I declined, as to the minimal damage. You didn’t deserve my blowing back your hair with my anger.

Bike lane (optional)

For summer on Saskatchewan Drive they close off one of the lanes and turn it into a bike lane (which I think is a great idea)
I saw this guy driving UP (it’s also a one way !!!) and I thought it was hilarious.

Video taken Aug 10 around 9pm.

Can’t miss your exit even when you’re a big tanker 🤩🤯

Happened a couple days ago on the Henday. It’s crazy to me that a tanker this big would perform such a move at 100 km/h.

One trip up Whitemud to WEM

Started with a guy coming over from the merge to the center lane so close that I had to brake not to hit him. Next was a truck doing the same move to the vehicle infront of me. There was a also a guy who drifted into my lane beside me but the dash cam couldn't see it. The last was an old guy in a truck that doesn't seem to understand what a stop sign means. Pardon the crack, caught a stone the other week and it keeps spreading.

A bit old but amusing

This goes back to February. Dark, rainy and there's a guy driving with no lights. I flashed my lights to try and tell him to turn his on. He then changed lanes into a turn lane and bounced over the curb on the other side of the turn. Never did turn his lights on.

Merge means larger vehicle proceeds?

98 Ave west at the James M bridge.

This is a consistent near miss spot due to the merging traffic proceeding without attempting to smoothly enter the flow of traffic.

The right lane continues into a new lane on the bridge, while the left merges into an existing lane.

The hell is going on today

Got cut off twice going southbound on gateway and had to slam on my brakes both times because they both cut across multiple lanes to make a turn last second. Neither of them signalled.

New Driver question

So I wanted to make a left turn here, and because of the car in front of me who also wants to turn left, I couldn't see the oncoming traffic. Dashcam footage seems wide but idk from the driver's seat it wasn't visible to my eye. I couldn't see far enough from where I was and the obstacle (car in front of me). And I think the car behind me had more vision and could see far into the oncoming lanes. Not mad at the honk but want to know if my positioning was wrong hence no vision or it just happens and one just has to wait it out ? Thank you.

Dangerous driving

2 cars going at it at the ramp entering anthony henday. Never a dull moment. So many speeders, erratic, dangerous drivers out there…you really have to be aware of your surroundings. Moved here from Manitoba and I’ve never seen so many damn accidents! It’s scary!

Speeding in a residential neighborhood

Leaving my neighborhood and this chick comes flying past a blind spot and almost hits me. Her tires screech as she turns to miss me. Must have been going 40-50kmh making that turn.

Close call at PE / 118 Ave traffic circle

Approached the traffic circle on 101 St, turned my left turn signal on. As I was about to enter the traffic circle when it was safe to do so, driver of the Acura cuts across the solid white line into my lane, had to slam on my brakes and lay on the horn. Missed me by inches.

*Edit: Without the camera bring able to see to the left where traffic was approaching, it's deceptive as to how much space there was between cars. So no, there weren't like 5 opportunities to safely go. I admit it does look like there was one opportunity that I could have entered the traffic circle if I really floored it. One of the cars, which again you can't see till it enters the frame, was coming around a bit hot before it slowed to exit, so I decided to wait. I realize that won't convince the naysayers and any delaying them justifies dangerous driving. And smh to some of the driving "tips" here: treat it as a merge, push up onto the crosswalk, just floor it on a yield. Thanks for the comments in any case though. I had a good laugh.
