520 chain and sprocket conversion for the street and track in future
For those who have done it how does it feel switching to a 520 chain and -1 in the front?
I feel like that would be the sweet spot and going up in the rear also would probably be too aggressive.

I’m hoping someone can help me with my motorcycle stand.
I was working on it and now I have two screws/bolts and another small part left over, and I honestly don’t know where they belong anymore. 😅
I’m talking about my Yamaha R9 stand, and before I mess something up, I’d really appreciate some advice or pictures from someone who knows how it should be assembled.
If anyone can point me in the right direction, I’d be very thankful!

So I changed the exhaust in November and after +3.000km or so (a couple of weeks ago) the engine light showed up. The bike runs perfectly and everything works except the launch control system.
I have some friends that the engine light made the bike go in a “protection mode”. The can’t use the cruise control, change modes, quick shifter etc…
My question here is, does anyone know how to tweak the engine light without ecu tune or buying an emulator?
I finally picked my bike yesterday!
Coming from a zx6r I feel it’s grungier and maybe after break in it might be smooth ! However after reaching home I noticed this dent in the brake lever is this normal should I go back to the dealer ? And raise an issue under warranty?
TLDR: Should i sell my MT09SP and buy an R9
Last December I was looking at purchasing a 2025 ZX6R but after ended up buying a 2025 MT09SP due to the fact i was using the bike to commute 30 minutes to work each day and thought it would be the more practical/comfortable option.
6 months later on I have moved to a role at work where I wfh and am lucky to commute to work one day a week.
I find now the MT09 isn’t really doing it for me as sports bikes is what got me into bikes in the first place. The R9 feels like a good middle ground bc the CP3 engine i’ve enjoyed in the MT09 and also has the aggressive super sport position plus all the tech of the MT.
There is currently a 2025 R9 for sale close to where i live, i know if i trade in the MT09 i will lose out financially, I do have the option to buy the R9 and then wait till the MT sells privately as i should be able to sell the MT for similar price that the R9 is up for sale for.
Any advice and opinions is appreciated!

Yesterday cruise control stopped working. Turns out the clutch switch under the lever wasn't getting fully depressed. Lubed the clutch cable and lever and it started working again. Thought I'd share this simple fix in case anyone else's cruise control stops working.
What's the trick to removing the belly fairing? Took out the 6 screws and can slide it rearward but nothing is releasing?? Too fragile looking to really pry anything so asking for help. Thks

I put a $500 deposit on a new Yamaha R9 back in March at Dealer #1. Originally they told me early April delivery, but it kept getting delayed over and over:
• April first week
• April mid
• April end
• May first week
• May mid
• now May 23rd
Because of the constant delays, last week (May 7th) I contacted Dealer #2 who showed an R9 in stock.
Yesterday (May 15th), Dealer #2:
• completed my financing
• got me approved through Yamaha financing
• took another $500 deposit
• scheduled pickup for this Wednesday
Dealer #2 says the bike is physically there and just needs assembly/PDI. And rescheduled pickup this upcoming Wednesday! (Not sure after all this I’ll get my 500 refund)
BUT… now Dealer #1 suddenly says my bike has shipped and they finally have a VIN assigned.(since it’s shipped they won’t refund)
Here’s the comparison:
Dealer #1: (in NJ)
• 10 miles from my house
• same state
• OTD: $14,500
• already waited months
• now finally has VIN/shipping info
Dealer #2: (in PA)
• \~75–80 miles away / 2 hours
• different state
• OTD: $14,800 (the otd is for my state only)
• bike supposedly ready next week
• financing already completed
You can service/warranty the bike anywhere, so that part isn’t a huge issue.
What would you guys do in my situation?
• Stick with Dealer #1 since it’s closer/cheaper now that it finally shipped?
• Or go with Dealer #2 because they actually have the bike ready and guaranteed?
I’m torn because I don’t want another delay again from Dealer #1 after waiting this long.
Update : The bike arrvied at the dealer #1 , its only 7 min drive from me so I guess moving with Dealer 1 is more convinient! looks like I will have to take a loss with Dealer # 2 I am still trying to get refund at least partially so wish me luck !
Does anyone have the Dominator Gp3? How did u guys put a bracket on it? They sent me one but I can’t even use it.
You will not be able to use the OEM turn signals with this holder (unless you have the adapters which don’t come in the box). It doesn’t come with the proper metal and rubber adapters for the original turn signals. You’ll have to either get them separately somehow or order another holder.
The metal adapter inside is for the Arrow blinkers they recommend you get for this license plate holder, but you have to buy them, they’re an additional 80-100€.
I went to my dealership and requested a new holder that can work with OEM blinkers. They had an open package of the same license plate holder but for the MT-07. It is an identical holder to this one but it has the adapters for the OEM turn signals. They gave them to me (metal and rubber adapter, not the holder) and I was able to install them on this holder.
Even though the package has this image with the metal and rubber adapters, and even the instructions inside it, there’s no adapters inside the package for the OEM blinkers.
I've heard a lot about the 2nd gear flat spot the US version has, has the EU version this too or is it different here? I have an R9 and I don't think I notice something different there?

I have a 2025 ZX6R and am thinking about trading it in for an R9. Mainly, I want cruise control and auto-blip, but the rest of the tech is nice too. I'm uncertain of how I'll like the CP3 engine because I love inline 4s. What are the things your love and hate about the R9 and would you trade a newer ZX6R for the R9?
