This show man, how is this so good 🤌 – Yeh Fitoor Tera

I am just absolutely floored with this show man! Mere kaan taras gaye the ye sab sunne ke liye, especially from an ITV show. The way this show talks about SA, patriarchy, the cost of silence, internalised misogyny and the maan, maryada, izzat debate especially from women upholding patriarchy in the family is crazy good. And the acting from our main leads Ishaan and Debchandrima, especially Ishaan is so sooooo good 🤌🤌🤌 Just amazing! Ishaan steals every frame he's in with his dialogues, comedic timing, expressions, protectiveness, and Deba works the sensitive and tragic scenes masterfully. Loving this until now!

I want to invite Ishaan Dhawan as a singer in my wedding. I swear 😭.

Damn, his comic timing is crazy. 🔥

And this was just before that serious scene, can you guys imagine his range?????

Watching another Ishaan interview and I'm starting to feel like he's my Kumbh Mela mein bichhda hua boyfriend😂😂

I KNOW. I KNOW. It's supposed to be “Kumbh Mela mein bichhde hue bhai/behen”.

But I'm not calling the ONE guy who's finally in my age group my bhai, okay?! 😂😭

But damn, people... I'm relating to EVERYTHING this man is saying🥹😭🤌🏻

The way he questioned why being “down to earth” is spoken about like it's some kind of trophy??? EXACTLY😭

At this point, I'm not even going to pretend I'm being normal about this. This is exactly the kind of man who I would husband up 😭😂🤌🏻 [this is a joke (or is it?).... don't come at me😂😂]

Newbie alert

Guys, how's the show? Drop everything I need to know and can I start this show.? Is it good? I mean I was disappointed by a show just a few months ago, so I am a bit skeptical. Anyways thanks in advance...

Men written by Women- and why Jeet Saxena is a good example.

Men written by women often bring out a very different shade of masculinity. They can be angry, rugged, intimidating, even deeply flawed but their masculinity isn't defined by their ability to control women. And I feel Jeet Saxena is actually a great example of this.

He is intense and has a temper. He can be reckless, sarcastic and terrifying when provoked. The ruggedness is a part of his persona. And yet, he understands boundaries. He is observant. His instinct to protect Saumya doesn't automatically translate into controlling her. He is more of an enabler than a savior.

And it's not just about Saumya, he actually recognises the system. He questions the way society polices women, calls out patriarchal thinking and understands how easily the burden of shame is placed on the woman rather than the person responsible. And I think that's where the “written by women” perspective really stands out.

It makes Jeet's character even more interesting because it allows contradictions to coexist. Angry yet empathetic, rugged yet gentle, protective yet doesn't cross boundaries. That level of intensity without feeling entitled.

And that's why I think Jeet Saxena is a good example of "Men written by Women".

Him getting the appreciation for this scene🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

This account genuinely praising an ITV actor? Usually its just about characters. Not the actors.

Oh.....Ishaan has really done something to everyone 🥹🥹🤌🏻🤌🏻

And the “green forest” wordplay???🤌🏻

He deserves this appreciation🥺

PS: Sorry for posting a screenshot of a tweet but I really love the tweets from this acc and I couldn't appreciate him like that 😭

Patriarchy, and Jeet Saxena.

Today's really hit the mark about the realities of patriarchy, the conditioning, and the way society treats women. The show has been addressing these things consistently, but today it all came together so powerfully. When Saumya refused to expose Roop, Jeet’s frustration was probably exactly what many of us felt too. His frustration at why is she staying quiet? Why won’t she tell the truth? And then came the usually, painful answer, "ladki ki izzat".

The society has really conditioned women into believing that silently enduring injustice, restrictions and even abuse is what makes them strong and sanskari.  That the burden of protecting the family’s "izzat" somehow always rests on women, while men are often free to destroy it without consequence. And when this conditioning runs deep enough, women themselves can become its strongest upholders, like Saumya’s mother, who is now passing on all the same to Saumya. The fear, the pain, the lack of control over your own life.

And then there’s Jeet. The guy who appears as brash, aggressive and always ready to fight. Yes, he gets angry. Yes, he can throw a punch. But his strength is never about intimidating women or asserting power over them. Because there is so much more to him than that. He is the same person who can see through Saumya’s silence, understand what lies beneath it, and become the softest version of himself when she needs comfort. "Men written by women" isn’t just a random phrase. This is exactly what it looks like. A man who can be strong and fight when needed, but can also love, understand, hold himself back, and know when to fight and when to simply be there. He can be vulnerable, struggle even make mistakes, but is ok with that too. He is the one who uses his power and strength to uplift and help others. My heart genuinely felt so full at seeing Jeet's reaction to Roop's reality, and Saumya's silence. That's exactly how any person should be like.

There's still a ton of story left...

So, unlike what everyone's saying, I don't think this is a finite series. Maybe this is a short series, like 100-200 episodes one. But, regardless I think the truth about the creepy uncle getting out is the starting point of Jeet and Soumya's story. The synopsis is a passionate story set in Prayagraj, so the passion is still left, and if it's anything like Sanam teri kasam, then it's gonna be delicious. So, yeah, them falling in love is still left, the passion is still left. Also, hoping they don't derail the plot after this track through. Cause I want this show to achieve great heights!

Mr. Ishaan Dhawan, what an actor you are !!

The body language, the dialogue delivery, those eye movements, the anger and also the comic timing. Man you own today's episode.

Something about this dialogue delivery of Ishaan does things to me 😂🙈

I really lost count on how many times I have rewatched this particular dialogue "Beta, ganith tumhara bohot weak hai"....

Maybe its Ishaan's voice modulation or something....but it definitely does things to me 😂😂🙈🙈🙈

Is this a limited series or what?

saw another video of jeet publicly beating up roop so seems like his truth is already out (probably was caught misbehaving with pihu too).

the point is- shaurya is already out. tauji reveal happened too and it's not even the 15th episode. The story is fast paced as things unfold irl but from a show's pov what do they have left to unpack now?

ps- also saumya is wearing a red anarkali with her hair open ( obsessed 😍) but god the pace is making me anxious

My hopes for future episodes...

After watching the show... I really have high hopes... And some of the things I hope happens :

  1. Hridhan should remain a green flag and finds his own girl later... And we get a beautiful second lead love story... She can show how one sided love doesn't have to end in ego war... How a person can respectfully and gracefully accept a No and move on in life...

  2. Jeet finds a dad in Saumya's father... So I hope those 2 end up having a beautiful bond even before Saumya and jeets story begins... Like I want them to have an independent arc without Saumya as well... Cz he already seems to understand what all Jeet went through in life... So it would be great if he also understood Jeet more and became fond of him as a person.. And they have their own dynamic

  3. I really hope Saumya has a job even after marriage and she isn't just a housewife busy in kitchen politics... Plzzz... I want her to be independent in every way..

  4. Saumya's mum should also bear the brunt of hiding the truth... This hiding the truth and victim living a life of dear and shame is just sooo common IRL... I really hope that like all other things they deal with this on the show nicely

  5. I love Saumya's and her brother's bond... They are soo sweet, funny and caring towards each other.. want to see more things around him.. I hope he doesn't disappear

  6. I hope that their junior-senior banters never stop .. and she is always hazir jawab with him...and Saumya and jeet remain respectful to each other no matter what happens ... No toxic behaviour pls

  7. I hope Jeet and Hridhan actually develop a bond like brothers... That would be so beautiful to watch.. two brothers who will blame only the actual evil person in their story I.e. their father... But with each other they are like brothers...that entire arc will be soo good to watch!

Stacked team working behind this show 💪🏻🤯🔥

Guyssss I was super curious so I did some research on the team working behind this show, and I WAS STUNNED. Like you won't believe what I discovered.

The creative director behind this show is the same person who directed Madhubala, the design/costume department is handled by the same person who has worked in shows like Rangrasiya and ishq par zor nahi...and Ved Raj who is the leading figure for story has been nominated for Indian Telly Jury Award for Best Story Writer and Star Guild Award for Best Writer in the past..also worked in the main writing team of ISS PYAAR KO KYA NAAM DOON (LIKE WHAT OMG!!??), created + wrote guddan tumse na ho payega serial in the past (which I enjoyed watching even though the concept was unrealistic). For Episodic story we have a female writer who was honoured for best story at SWA awards, 2024 for best story (television) and OMG the director of this show has ALSO co-directed iss pyaar ko kya naam doon in the past!!!

P.S — the only thing irking me are the dialogue writers, one of them works with Anupama lol and I'm glad she is only responsible for writing dialogues (even then she has also won an award for teleplay, that is scriptwriting lol)

If you're curious yourself you can simply search the names shown on the credits scene (shown initially when an episode starts at the bottom) under different categories and get to know more about the team from google. Knowing the people involved in this show, I'm not surprised with the strong start. The show looks very promising to me with this discovery. The main strength seems to be the story and direction.
