Men written by Women- and why Jeet Saxena is a good example.

Men written by women often bring out a very different shade of masculinity. They can be angry, rugged, intimidating, even deeply flawed but their masculinity isn't defined by their ability to control women. And I feel Jeet Saxena is actually a great example of this.

He is intense and has a temper. He can be reckless, sarcastic and terrifying when provoked. The ruggedness is a part of his persona. And yet, he understands boundaries. He is observant. His instinct to protect Saumya doesn't automatically translate into controlling her. He is more of an enabler than a savior.

And it's not just about Saumya, he actually recognises the system. He questions the way society polices women, calls out patriarchal thinking and understands how easily the burden of shame is placed on the woman rather than the person responsible. And I think that's where the “written by women” perspective really stands out.

It makes Jeet's character even more interesting because it allows contradictions to coexist. Angry yet empathetic, rugged yet gentle, protective yet doesn't cross boundaries. That level of intensity without feeling entitled.

And that's why I think Jeet Saxena is a good example of "Men written by Women".

UK TV ratings- Yeh Fitoor Tera has surged in popularity and also pushed Star Plus to lead in the UK.

Although I'm not sure how are ratings calculated in the UK, I think the impact is huge! Especially because it's been only 2 weeks and people are going crazy about it across social media.

Anyone who lives in the UK and/or knows about the significance of this, please feel free to shed some light on it.

New Promo- Yeh Fitoor Tera

Saumya's father is getting on my nerves with his constant lecture on "parvarish".

But the good part is Saumya herself chose to become a scribe for Jeet because his hand is fractured.

And Jeet speaking up in Saumya's family matters is kinda funny lol but very much needed for them to hear.

Thoughts on the promo?

Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein ✨️

Show- Yeh Fitoor Tera on StarPlus

Absolutely loved this scene from today's episode! Jeet and Saumya have already begun to form an emotional connection...where they don't need words to understand what they want to say.

I particularly liked how Saumya was like "Jab sorry bol rahe hain toh maaf kar dena chahiye na" (or something like that...can't remember the exact dialogue) and Jeet being the person who expresses through actions rather than words, brought her the matchbox.

And when he saw Saumya kept a coil for Jeet, his little smile was so precious 😭 Both the actors did a fab job in this scene!
