How the hell do you counter mutant?

I main ninja and everytime i come across a mutant in a tournament on in general, it's essentially a guaranteed lose for me. I just cant tell what they'll do, neutral juke h slash, dash attack, dash grab, sneak attack, thats not all but you get the point, they're just way too unpredictable, it feels like everytime they're close to me it's a 99/1 coin toss in their favour

Ideas I had for new Robot moves

Keep in mind I don’t even have 100 hours, so these will probably be unbalanced.

Scan: Robot spends one turn standing still to analyze his opponent. After, he will be able to see whatever move or action that his opponent chooses to lock in. Requires 3 levels of Super and drains a bar of Super for every turn after activation. Will be cancelled if Robot is hit during its start up or duration.

Instant Kill: A cooler version of Scan. Robot activates his instant kill mode, causing his eyes to glow a menacing red. He is now able to see the moves his opponent locks in, and counter them accordingly without input from the player. This means he will parry every attack and win every RPS. He is also able to see his opponent’s DI wheel and perfectly carry out any combo. Has the same Super level requirements as Scan.

Artillery: A stance switch similar to Drive. Robot spends a turn transforming, and is now covered head to toe in turrets, guns, and cannons. All of his moves are now long ranged, but he loses his dash and can only walk forward at a very slow speed. Robot can also fly at a similar speed.

  • Launch: Fires two heat seeking missiles from Robot’s forearms. These work similarly to Magic Dart and track the opponent, becoming faster and more accurate the longer they are active. They will explode if they hit a surface, and cannot be parried.
  • Barrage: Robot fires an onslaught of bullets from the guns on his shoulders. These bullets can be blocked but not parried, and function similarly to Flame Wave by pushing the opponent back and dealing chip damage through their block. Robot can walk during this move, and he can continue the duration by spending Super meter.
  • Unibeam: Robot enters a stance and fires a powerful, medium range beam from his chest, breaking his opponent’s block and dealing heavy multihitting damage. Can be parried. Robot can walk during this move, and he can continue the duration by spending Super meter.
  • Blast: Robot turns his arm into a Mega Man-like Cannon and fires an energy ball. This ball travels quickly and deals good damage, but can be parried, much like Cowboy’s bullets. Robot can fire two blasts from both arms by selecting the “dual” option.
  • Mortar: Robot bends down to fire the mortar cannon on his back, shooting a long ranged and heavy damage explosive.

Upgrade: Robot extends his limbs outwards while pieces of machinery fly in from off screen and attach to him. If he isn’t interrupted, then Robot will enter a new, more powerful form. He is much taller (around 65% of Divine General’s height), all of his moves are upgraded, and he constantly has armor activated. His moves are slower, but they all have more range, deal more damage, and cannot be parried. Requires 5 bars of Super and drains one bar every two turns.

  • Quake now creates a shockwave on use.
  • Optical Beam has Robot fire a prolonged, multihitting laser that can be aimed in a forward cone.
  • Step now has much more range, moves Robot further, and creates a shockwave.
  • Propel is slower, but has a hitbox near Robot’s chest that drags opponents with him.
  • Drive turns Robot into a fighter jet that can move omnidirectionally (dealing damage) and can fire lasers.
  • Keypunch is aimable in a forward cone, with a rocket on his elbow.
  • Ping has Robot detach and propel his fist forward via a rocket, with more range.
  • Bounds Check has Robot grab and drag his opponent along the floor, Ridley Side-B style.
  • Hustle has Robot smash his fists together like Cherno Alpha.

So this is how people get treated in BEGINNER lobbies?

Good job to this asshat farming wins in "beginner training lobby", you really showed your skill.

My little brother really wanted to try Multiplayer in this game, because I've only ever let him on singleplayer. I went into a beginner training lobby expecting, you know, Beginners? because he's never had any multiplayer experience. First ever match and he gets a scrub going full tryhard on a kid who just touched the game.

This wouldn't even be an issue if he stayed silent, but look at the chats. He just had to be so smug with it. This guy is a bully who didn't get enough love at home, and has to stoke his ego by camping newbies.

Now I understand all the people complaining that this game is really unfriendly for beginners, now that I've seen it firsthand 😕

The horde mode mod is amazing. I expected it to be a simple mod that's not too difficult, but it goes from "aura farming challenge" (wave 1-9) to "fuck i gotta lock in" (wave 10-15). It's a proper wave-based horde mod that you'd think would be a vanilla feature of a different game. Best mod by far

This mod is NOT IN THE WORKSHOP, as it's in beta however, if you want to download it (i really recommend you do its fun) watch this 3 min install guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmMC-JkW20s

The Clone army game mode is pretty fun. I like how enemies can sometimes back up for more space and even swarm you as the waves progresses.

I think it would be cool if Ninja had a super move where he wields a sword

I also think that Cowboy should have a cool time travel based Super move (time splitter is just a dash slash). That is all.

Cowboy’s moveset if he was an actual cowboy

I just came up with this for fun, I don’t think all of Cowboy’s moves should be changed or anything (I just think it’s funny that the cowboy wields a sword while the guy named Ninja doesn’t).

Cowboy now has a hat and two gun holsters by default.

Snub Nose (formerly Pommel): Cowboy quickly jams the butt of his right revolver into the opponent’s face.

Smith (formerly Horizontal Slash): Cowboy fires his right revolver in the classic western pose.

Wesson (formerly Vertical Slash): Cowboy fires his left revolver forward, with the other held up above his head.

Twin Barrels (formerly Stinger): Cowboy rears back and fires both revolvers at once.

Kneecap (formerly Ankle Cutter) Cowboy aims down and shoots his left revolver into the opponent’s kneecap.

Beretta (formerly Lightning Slash): Cowboy holds his revolver in both hands and aims down the sights to fire from long range.

Gunpoint (formerly impale): Cowboy teleports behind his opponent with his revolver pointed at their head.

Anti-Air (formerly backslash) Cowboy steps back and fires into the air with both revolvers.

Triple Tap (formerly 3 combo): Cowboy flies up via the power of westerns while alternating between shooting both revolvers.

Triple Tap Down: Cowboy alternates between shooting both revolvers while falling in an action hero-esque pose.

The Good (formerly 1000 cuts): Cowboy repeatedly alternates between firing his revolvers, reloading them via time travel.

The Bad (formerly fatal cut): Cowboy pulls back the hammer on his revolver with a loud click, then fires an explosive bullet.

The Ugly (formerly time splitter): Cowboy teleports forward and dramatically empties his revolvers of their bullets, before teleporting them into his opponent’s body and riddling them with holes.

Made this guy ragequit because I used dash-grab. Is Ninja Broken?

I don't know if the tierlist changed because of the update, but I could've sworn Ninja was one of the worst vanilla charcters. Isn't Wizard and Cowbody the top ones?

What is the best way to think?

In a previous post I asked how to get better at the game and someone other than giving me tips through the post also taught me on the game directly and I found out he and really good players play totally differently from me, I play figuring out my opponent, trying to think like them, while good players take more in consideration risk and reward for example in a situation where I had used a free cancelable attack at the end of a combo he blocked, I had assumed he would know I would grab predicting the block and jump/grab so I used hold getting parried (I know hold is generally a bad move but it's pretty unexpected and beats most stuff especially at close range where they usually assume you'll grab) because he instead of trying to predict me decided that it was better to risk being grabbed which at most ended with a bit of damage (I was on mutant so I couldn't combo of it) than getting hit by a guardbreak

I was wondering which is better

FIRST WIN EVER ‼️‼️

took some advice from people in the comments of my last post and used the base characters rather than mods, thanks guys

this person mightve been less familiar with the mechanics so they messed up a bit but then again they also said they chose cowboy on accident so that could be a big reason why

either way im happy for my first win lmfao

My first Replay with mods

Recently got the game a couple of days ago. Been having fun messing around with mods and just trying new characters out. Its fun to make random replays of mods going against eachother

This replay was definitely just me messing around and goofing off with Vixen 😅
