Y’all clearly weren’t listening

Did y’all know that they used dropping jewels as evidence during the RICO trial. I literally had to watch Brian Steel explain that the line “I just hopped up out that Ghost, I been drivin' a dead body” doesn’t actually mean he’s driving around w/ a dead body smh. Thug used to flow because he never thought deeply about his lines. Now he has to think deeply bc he doesn’t want it to be misinterpreted. Any normal HUMAN BEING would naturally lose their passion for music after that. Idk what’s so hard for ppl to grasp. And ppl are over judging you would think he dropped the worst verse on DrugKit, it wasn’t even bad. Examples of him flowing with no restrictions - closing arguments and the leaked version of Superman ft lil baby. Even with losing his passion he’s still great…just very restricted.

If you've followed Thug's life before the rico trial then you'd understand that it makes sense why Young Thug's post-rico music sucks

I really don't know how some people expected him to come out with a hunger and reinvigorated passion for making music when we all knew he was never gonna be the same or better.

Forgetting all the drama, betrayal and mental struggle he went through during the 2+ years he was in jail, The man is on probation for the next 9 years of his life. With that, he's practically walking on thin ice cause of the industry (Rap) he works in.

He can no longer freestyle in the booth as he did before which was a huge factor in his popularity rise due to his creative head-turning lyrics. He now has to think of every word he says and any music he wants to release has to go through a legal team to avoid any trouble with the law.

Even lines/words that would be morally grey get cut and he has to rerecord everything which you already know is tiring and discouraging to him due to the kind of artist he is whose creativity is on the spot rather than curated!
