Couldn’t get my main cam into his show so I brought in the back up. Let me know what you think!!! I don’t usually shoot with this cam but I think it came out decent
I think I've caught a bit of GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome). It started with the ZV-E10 last week and I just never stopped getting extras. I keep building these rigs when I should be out filming...
Landscape Static Rig:
- iPad Mini 7 via HDMI (Monitor+ app. VideoAssist is technically better but too expensive for me)
- Leaplumin tablet clamp (I really rate this brand for build quality)
- Guermok 4k Capture Card
- Smallrig HDMI Adapter
- Sirui Field Monitor mount
- Smallrig Magic Arm
- Movo VXR 10-Pro mic
- Sirui Cage
Alternatively I sometimes just go via a long HDMI cable to the capture card straight into a laptop and then record the video feed with OBS.
Vertical Handheld Rig:
- iPhone via USB-C in PC Control mode (Again with Monitor+ app using the same display LUTs for both)
- Leaplumin phone clamp
- Niceyrig 3/8 - 1/4 folding mount (strong enough for a phone or small light but not a real monitor)
- Neewer Top Handle
- Niceyrig Powerbank Clamp with Inui mini power bank
- HangTon Dummy Battery
- Smallrig Magic Arm
- Insta360 Ace Pro 2 as a POV cam
- Movo VXR 10-Pro mic
- Sirui Cage
I would prefer the vertical rig to be more mounted level so the lens isn't so low but I haven't got a side handle or a convenient way to mount the phone lower. The rig also looks unbalanced but when you have a hand on the top handle and a hand on the magic arm it is actually extremely stable.
Currently the 7Artisans 10mm 2.8 Auto Focus lens for face-to-camera shots. I wish it had OSS but beggars can't be choosers.
Also, if you've not used monitors before, I strongly recommend trying out at least an app on your phone. Monitor+ gives you zebras, peaking, and importantly, false colour display. Also histograms, custom display LUTs etc. Much easier on the eyes than squinting at the camera display while pulling focus.
Colour graded and stuff in Davinci. This was at a lavender and sunflower farm in Ontario, Canada.
Would really need advice for this dilemma I'm having. I would really appreciate any opinions or suggestions 😁
I usually shoot cinematic travel videos and not doing anything professional but I am hoping 😅
My first camera was the Sony A5100 with the kit lens and a Sony 35mm prime lens for the longest time.
I just got the zve10ii just 3 months ago as my first upgrade and as a bday gift then this osmo pocket 4 and 4P just came out and it is really creating a huge dilemma on me 😅.
I've also invested a lot, I think, with my zve10ii and bought the Sigma 18-50 lens, small rig cage, top and side handles, and an SD card.
My only problem with my Zve10ii is that it's really hard to get stable shots when doing cinematics (reason I bought the top and side handles) which the built in gimbal in the Osmo pocket can do. This dilemma is really giving me a headache 😅.
I don't know if I should sell my zve10ii, the lend and other accessories and get the pocket 4p.
I just feel that it's really expensive having this zve10ii since I even plan to get the 10-18 sigma wide angle lens 😂 and even getting a good tripod.
The thought of getting stable shots, being so small and portable, and lesser gear needed to bring is just so tempting!
Not sure what I would lose if I trade my zve10ii to a pocket 4 or 4p 😅.
I am also trying to practice color grading and not sure maybe try vlogging in the future.
Thanks in advance! 😁
About a year with this cam with a few upgrades from here and there.
Here's my simple travel/hobbyist rig.
ZVE10 M1
Sirui Cage
Dji Mic Mini
Sigma 18-50
7Artisans 1/8 Black Mist
K&F VND
Arca Swiss Plate in the bottom and side
Also got a Viltrox Air 15mm F1.7. for some wide angle shots.
I tried using my magic arm as a makeshift side and top handle once, and now I'm thinking of getting a dedicated side/top handle but also don't want my rig to get bulky lol
I recently shot this cinematic video using the Sony ZV-E10 with the 16–50mm kit lens and did the color grading in DaVinci Resolve
Proud new owner of a ZV-E10. Upgraded to this after my Canon 550D was stolen, along with all my lenses/SD cards and whacky adapters that I've 3D printed over time. Bit of a sour upgrade after losing all that stuff and being stuck with a kit lens until I can get a better one, but nonetheless, I'm excited to be able to shoot some actually decent video and finally have some decent AF as well lol. I'll miss my dinosaur but I think I'll be more capable with this
Bought secondhand for R9.5k ($585), 3 months old, still under warranty, basically brand new. I think it was a pretty fair deal.
Changing kit lense to new Sigma 30mm F1.4 DC DN Contemporary. In my opinion, Sony camera with incredible Sigma lense - the best duet for amazing photos.
Previously been shooting some video on my iPhone but this is my first camera that isn’t my phone. Any thoughts or tips/tricks would be great.
Also my first time doing basic color correction.
Everything was shot on my ZV-E10ii with the kit lens in SLog3 with the exception of the opening drone shot that I got elsewhere.
what do yall think
What gimbal would you recommend for automotive videography? (and more if opportunities arise)
I have the mk1 ZV-E10 with a Tamron 17-70 f/2.8 lens. I have also recently bought a CPL+VND from K&F.
I'm looking for gimbal recommendations and any other tips you have for video work with the ZV-E10
EDIT: FIXED
"I think I saw the same on my side, but if you shoot also raw and jpeg you gonna see that on jpeg there are corrections made and that the vignette is not there. Same if you export this img from lightroom, the tool will correct for this."
As soon as I ported it into Photoshop, it was fixed.

Hi guys, I just upgraded from my Nikon D80 that I got a million years ago to a Sony ZVE10. I took it out with me while travelling, and I have noticed on all the photos that I am completely zoomed out on, there is some slight vignetting. Is this normal? Photos attached for proof
What am I doing wrong?! Someone help please😩
