So I only played VLR on Steam, and it also has 999 in the bundle.

I'm aware that 999 has some meta stuff going on that only works on DS, and I have no idea what that is.

So, with minimum spoiler, how important do you feel that the game should be experienced with a DS/3DS?

And is it something doable on Emulator? Or even a DS emulator in VR? Just got a Frame and I can find some excuses to try that.

for context, i had previously tried to get my niece to play 999 with me, but she couldn't figure out digital roots and i'm a bad teacher

i had a dream that they released a full-inmmersion VR version of 999 (think sword art online) and i was playing the first puzzle with my niece. i remember being thrilled that everything looked so high-detailed and i remember looking at the water and being like ''look! the water is actually flooding the room! how cool is that?'' she seemed strangely calm about it all.

i ended up not being able to solve the 3rd class cabin puzzle beacuse i couldn't find one of the ''red/blue triangle'' cards. i remember it being the one under the pillow.
