Personal note: I think it's absolutely amazing they've given advance warning of this instead of just striking while the iron was hot. Definitely won brownie points here!

I'm ashamed to say I bought one of these back on Kickstarter and never actually ended up finding a use for it.
I have started streaming games for my PC to my TV over Steam link but the Android version has some issues.
I thought I would give the Linux version a try went to go set this up and found out CasaOS is in maintenance mode and hasn't been updated since 2024.
Zima OS is completely unsuited for my use case.
Are there any major security concerns from using Casa OS or is there another distribution that would be more suited?
Also the BIOS is rather old but I couldn't find an official page with a list of updates.
