What point of using Zomato if not support for wrong item delivery?

Zomato login picking up someone else’s profile
Indian national, living outside. Visiting. Got a new number and logged into Zomato. Someone else’s profile came up, with their name, location, past orders. Thankfully, no credit card info. Two questions.
- Should I be concerned now that I know someone’s personal information? Do I have a legal duty to inform anybody? I don’t think so but who knows.
- I had a Zomato login (and card info) with another number sometime back. I didn’t continue that number. If someone gets that number, is there a chance they can get access to my cards? What do you suggest I do?
Questions aside, how incredibly stupid is this phone based login system! Phone number is not a unique identity, how do big companies like Zomato not realize that?
Zomato quietly did something really thoughtful and I don't think enough people are talking about it
Had two deliveries yesterday that left an impression on me.
First one, my lunch was delivered by a senior citizen. Dude was out there in brutal heat still hustling. Tipped him well and gave him some cold water, wish I could've done more.
Second one was for ice cream, and right after the delivery partner got assigned, I got an automated call from Zomato saying the partner was a person with a disability, and asking if I was okay with the delivery (with an option to switch if not). I said yes obviously, and when he showed up I actually walked outside to grab the order myself instead of making him come all the way to the door.
Both guys were polite, no complaints, just doing their job. Kind of made me appreciate that Zomato is actually creating opportunities for people who'd probably get overlooked elsewhere, and doing it in a way that's respectful instead of performative.
Small thing, but it stuck with me. Props to Zomato for this.
Edit: Didn't expect this to blow up like this, thank you all. A few people are asking if this was paid/sponsored by Zomato — it genuinely wasn't. No brand deal, no payment, nobody reached out to me. Just an actual customer who had a good experience and felt like sharing it. Also, a few people pointed out it reads like it was written with AI. Fair catch, I did use it to clean up the language and structure a bit, the experience and everything I described is 100% real and mine, I just wanted it to read well. Appreciate the love either way, and thanks for the awards/upvotes.
Refund issue ,failed payment
So on 2 july I ordered something from zomato , payment failed but money was deducted from my account and when delivery guy came ,i paid him again despite not getting refund. I complained to zomato on mail ,shared screenshot but still haven't received refund ,their AI Customer support is useless.
What should I do now as I got no response on mail .
The biggest AI headaches one can have with these food delivery apps
The worst thing that can possibly happen to you with an AI chat bot, is it telling you that it's equivalent of capable of Handling human conversations.
For context : we had ordered some stuff and while paying, were on some other work, and by mistake the payment times out, and it automatically placed it on COD
Now the issue was, on Cod it does not consider the coupon offer, which was 250, which is a good deal
But now, it has forced the order to be delivered, without a slight clue, not connecting me to a real person to actually address the issue, and somehow, the customers are supposed to pay the price, all the friskin time.
This is a very bad move by them, why auto initiate the order If the payment fails?
Why force customers?
Do you like it when a stupid ai bot thinks it's good enough to understand your anger?
And there is no way one can talk to a real customer support without going through hell, and waste an hour in the process
These apps don't respect their customers
And yet their stocks are high
Do they deserve it?
Makes us realize, AI in these apps is such a joke
Yet they wanna boast tech support

Planning to be a zomato delivery partner, for 3 hours a day, just parttime, for an experience. Want to know your opinion, pros and cons. As a new comer what are things I must be careful about?
Zomato marked my order as delivered without the delivery partner ever entering my society. Refused refund despite proof.
I'm from Gurgaon and I'm posting this because I'm genuinely shocked at how this was handled.
A few days ago, I placed a Zomato order
Around the delivery time, the app suddenly showed "Delivered", but I never received the order.
Here's what happened:
- The delivery partner never entered my society.
- I tried calling him N number of times, but every call disconnected and he never answered.
- I contacted Zomato immediately, but their AI chat assistant asked me to send an email.
- I even shared proof that there was no society entry at the exact time the order was marked delivered.
- Days later, they replied saying their system showed the order as successfully delivered, so no refund would be issued.
I asked them some very basic questions:
- Why wasn't this investigated immediately?
- Why did the delivery partner stop answering calls?
- Can they share the delivery GPS/location or proof of delivery?
I also informed them that I could provide CCTV footage from outside my neighbour's flat, which covers my entrance, if required.
Their response?
Another template email saying they "re-evaluated" the case and still found no discrepancy.
I then simply asked them to share the delivery location and I'm still waiting.
The money isn't even the biggest issue here.
What's worrying is that if a delivery executive can mark an order as delivered without entering the customer's society and the platform refuses to verify GPS records or provide proof of delivery, what protection do customers actually have?
Has anyone else experienced something similar with Zomato? Were you able to get it resolved?

. upon receiving, the tissue and the burrito smelled awfully bad i tried to have a bite felt like vomiting .
It was mould on the tortilla when i opened it all . it is a food hazard th even zomato.
They are denying to do anything on that . this place and zomato's customer support is awful
PLEASE HELP if anyone can assist.
Apparently resetting zomato account gives 50% off, so doing this on every order is ideal if you don't get any offers.
