I’m currently caught in a ridiculous logic loop with Zomato and I need to vent/ask for advice.

The Setup: I ordered from a place called Anthara . Zomato "stacked" my delivery with another order from Chai Point. The two restaurants are only 80 meters apart.

The Tech Fail: Because of the 80m proximity, Zomato’s GPS triggered "Reached" for both locations simultaneously.

The Conflict: Anthara has had my food ready for 25+ minutes. They are waiting for the delivery partner to walk the 80 meters over.

The Delivery Partner: They are physically at Chai Point, but they told me that because the app prioritized the "Chai" pickup first, my order isn't even showing up as collectable on their screen yet. They are literally 80m away but "invisible" to my order until the other order is ready.

Zomato Support: Total gaslighting. They are telling me the partner is "1km away" and blaming "rain." They are flat-out lying about the location because their bot can’t handle a stacked order glitch 😭

The Logic Fail: Zomato’s algorithm somehow prioritised Chai Point and now I’m going to get cold food because the app won't let the delivery partner move 80 meters until the first order in the "stack" is cleared. UGHHHH

Has anyone else dealt with this "proximity trap"?

TLDR: My dinner is sitting cold because the delivery partner is stuck 80m away at Chai Point and Zomato bots can't understand their own algorithm.

Glitch or Scam? 70% off Upto 140

I got countdown notification twice today at a time that didn't happen before and it kept popping at random very weird .The problem is that there weren't any restaurants with the coupon . I have used it many times and it seems they are using ai to dig holes through notification

I feed cheated by Zomato

I had ordered prepaid food around 12 PM, and it was supposed to arrive by 1 PM. However, the delivery agent did not deliver the food. Instead, the app started showing the order as “delivered” or “delivery successful.”

I called the delivery agent to understand the situation, but out of nowhere, he started misbehaving with me and told me to pick up the order myself from another location that was around 2–3 km away from me. He then cut the call and never delivered the order.

I raised a complaint through the Zomato app, but it was of no use. They said they could not connect with the delivery agent and therefore could not do anything about it.

After some time, I raised another complaint, and again they gave the same response. After that, my complaints stopped getting registered altogether, and now I cannot even raise a complaint through the app.

I could not find any customer care number, so I wrote an email to them. They replied saying that the order is showing as “successfully delivered” from their side, and therefore they cannot do anything. How is this even possible? I am not asking for anything extra. I just want my money refunded for the food I never received. As a loyal customer and a student, I feel cheated out of my money by the company.

With no other option in hand, i had to make this isuue in public forum I have attached screenshots and other details to this post.

Please suggest what I should do now.

Zomato not responding after damaged order refund request

Ordered veg biryani from Zomato yesterday, but the packaging was completely damaged and the biryani was spilled outside the container when it arrived. Because of this, I did not accept the order.

The delivery partner and restaurant owner both told me to contact Zomato support for the refund, so I returned the order immediately. I also took photos at the time of delivery.

I have already emailed Zomato support multiple times, shared all the images and details, but I am still not getting any proper resolution or refund update from their side.

Scammed by zomato's Customer service agent, Raised a consumer complaint

I ordered 1x Italian Garden Pizza (with paid Mushroom add-on) and 1x Coke from the restaurant "Freddy's". Upon delivery, I received a partial and incorrect order—both the Coke and the paid Mushroom add-ons were completely missing.

When I confronted the delivery partner, he clearly stated that he only delivered what the restaurant handed over to him. However, the sequence of events that followed with Zomato’s customer support constitutes severe harassment and fraudulent behavior:

Fraudulent Support & Lying: I was connected to a customer support agent named Tanishq. The agent explicitly lied to me, claiming that the delivery partner was not answering his calls to verify the missing items.

Verification of Lie: I immediately called the delivery partner myself on a separate line. The delivery partner answered instantly and confirmed that he had not received any call from Zomato or agent Tanishq.

Refusal of Resolution & Hanging Up: When I caught the agent in this lie, I repeatedly requested a conference call with the delivery partner to clear up the matter. Agent Tanishq flatly refused, abruptly cut the conversation, and hung up on me while I was still speaking.

Verbal Abuse: Prior to disconnecting, the agent subjected me to verbal abuse on the call, which is a gross violation of consumer safety and corporate ethics.

Zomato has not only failed to deliver the items I legally paid for (Deficiency of Service) but their support staff has actively misled me, engaged in unfair trade practices, and subjected me to mental harassment and abuse.

Relief Sought:

Full refund for the missing items (Coke and Mushroom add-ons) along with the delivery/service fees.

Strict disciplinary action against the support agent, Tanishq, for verbal abuse and unprofessional conduct.

Appropriate compensation for the severe mental harassment and distress caused by Zomato's support team.

How to use the 70% off upto ₹140 offer?

Hi! Daily at exactly 9 PM I get this notification banner, that for 1 hour, I will get 70% off upto ₹140, but as soon as I click that notification, it takes me to the app, and boom, no restaurant is showing that offer. Not a single restaurant. I have seen on this sub people using this offer, so asking for the help. Is there any coupon code, or how to use this?

SCAMMED Zomato falsely marked my order as delivered, delivery partner admitted he gave it to the wrong person, support still denied refund.

Ordered from Taco Bell (Order #8129959677) at around 2-3 AM because I was at work and hungry. Delivery partner Salman Sahiblal Shaikh marked the order as delivered, but I never received it.

The worst part? On call, the delivery partner himself admitted that he delivered my order to the wrong person.

Despite this, Zomato support reviewed it and responded saying their “system records” show the order was successfully delivered, so they refused to refund me.

So basically:

• I paid for food I never got

• Delivery partner admitted fault

• Zomato still sided with system status over actual customer experience

• No refund, no compensation, just a generic apology

This is beyond frustrating because if their own delivery partner confirms the mistake, how is that not enough? What exactly is customer protection here?

I’m now considering taking this to consumer court because this feels like blatant negligence and zero accountability.

Has anyone else faced something similar with Zomato? Did escalating actually help, or is consumer court the only serious option left?

Edit: Mailing Zomato CEO in the trail mail helped as suggested by one redditor , got the refund.

Found a long hair in my burger from Wrapchick (via Zomato), "resolution" was a joke

We ordered 2 burgers and 2 wraps from Wrapchick Patiala through Zomato. My mother's burger had a long hair strand in it. We only discovered it mid-meal - by that point, the mood was completely ruined and none of us could bring ourselves to eat the rest of the food.

Honestly? I felt like vomiting.

What happened when I tried to resolve it with Zomato:

I raised the issue through Zomato's chat support. It's clearly AI-driven now. They asked me for a photo, fair enough, I understand people can fake things, so I sent one.

I'm attaching the full chat screenshot here so you can see exactly what I submitted and what response I got.

I want to be upfront - I know some of the images I sent are not perfectly clear. But some of them are. Clearly. You can see the hair without any doubt. I'm not making this up, and the pictures speak for themselves.

Their "resolution"? They informed the restaurant.

That's it. That's all.

• No refund.

• No real accountability.

• No follow-up with me as the consumer.

• No escalation to food safety authorities.

The restaurant was "informed." Great. Super helpful.

Zomato did not deliver my aunt’s birthday pastries.

Support called and said he is sending the delivery agent, but when i asked for update, he abruptly ended the chat. We were even on conference call (support, me and executive). The only issue here is that I complained late. Since it was surprise, i thought it was delivered cause the app showed that it was delivered. I did not get any notification. There was only one missed call from the delivery agent. Now the support chat says all their advisors are busy.
