I decided to try something different with my October haul.

Instead of opening the GTBuy Spreadsheet and just saving whatever catches my attention, I gave myself a budget first.

Turns out 30,000+ finds look very different when every new addition means something else might have to come out. 💸

🧾 The October Shortlist

I'm still looking through pretty much everything, but the colder weather has definitely changed which sections are getting most of my attention.

The challenge is deciding where the money actually makes the biggest difference.

Do I keep another hoodie, or use that part of the budget on a better jacket?

Do I really need another pair of sneakers?

We all know the answer to that second question, but I'm pretending there's a debate. 😂

🔎 Making the Cut

Once something makes the shortlist, that's when I stop casually browsing and actually check it.

I'll open the current product listing, look at the available options and sizing, compare similar finds, and check QC or warehouse photos when they're available.

Having multiple finds in the GTBuy Spreadsheet also makes it easier to compare before deciding which one deserves a place in the haul.

A few products that looked like automatic buys didn't survive that part.

📱 Two Ways I've Been Browsing

When I want to dig through a big category, I use the spreadsheet. It's easier when I'm comparing a lot of links at once.

When I'm on my phone or just casually looking around, I'll use the GTBuy Finds Website instead. It's more visual and lets me move through organized finds and available QC photos quickly.

💰 The Budget Experiment

Giving myself a limit has actually made building the haul more interesting.

I'm asking, "Do I like this more than everything else already on the list?"

That's a much harder question when there are 30,000+ GTBuy finds sitting in front of you.

The budget is currently surviving.
