I have this fic bookmarked and I read it sometime this month, but I completely forgot the name and plot! All I could remember was a conversation Neil and Andrew had, where Neil says something about how Matt and the others think he's like them (healed and normal) but he thinks there's something inherently wrong with him; he chooses not to do bad because he likes his life, not because of any morals. This conversation was at a point where Neil and Andrew weren't together in the fic. It's an au fic where Andrew is interested in oblivious Neil way before they get together, even though it takes a while for them to become 'friends' and the fic is through Neil's narrative.

I just finished all 5 books and am looking for the best fics to read! Just wondering what then most popular ones are/what to start with :)

I finished the AFTG books recently and have gone down the ao3 rabbit hole, but I feel like a gigantic chunk of aftg fanfics recommendations (on reddit and ao3) are all some type of alternate universe 😭

I’m someone who’s a huge sucker for the canon world building for aftg, and really loves the exy and cannon characters/settings. Does anyone have any good fics that are cannon and non-au? I’m looking for stuff that fills the void the books left and feeds my desperation for more content 😭

i’ve already read the more popular ones like some of starsworth’s fics (which were amazing) and lessons in cartography. Does anyone have good recs?

Hey! I’m back with another cosplay question, lol. I think I’ve managed to find every part of the outfit…except the racquet. Technically I don’t need one, but it would be a cool prop. The problem is, actual lacrosse sticks are really expensive. Especially the goalie version (I’m going as Andrew). Is there a cheap version out there? Or if not, how did y’all DIY your racquets?

I wanted to talk about Riko. The first time I read the books, I confess that despite everything he did, I felt sorry for him, I was a little empathetic. I didn’t read the extras about him, but he suffered a lot too, not only because he was excluded from his family, but also because he was abused. I changed my mind a bit after rereading the books, especially now with Jean’s new book. Both of them lived in the same environment and suffered abuse. And okay, I know the hierarchy was different, Jean was submissive,but that violence didn’t make him the same as Riko. I think Riko is such a complex character. Did anyone else feel even a little empathy for him? Or am I crazy? 🤔🤔

I don’t remember much of this fic but in it both Andrew and Aaron had a lisp that they tried to hide but Aaron wasn’t as careful and I think it showed when he was drunk which led to Neil wondering if Andrew also had it (which, he did. I think both Aaron and Andrew got drunk and they both were talking with a lisp)

So I was looking for fics of andrew and neil either fostering or adopting kid/s. Any fic is okay except blame it on my youth as i’ve already read that one (not finished), I would prefer if it’s not too ooc and if it’s a long fic.

So, I just finished The King‘s Men. I loved it. I’m not sure whether this one or The Raven King is my favorite in the series. But I can’t help feel like the later events were a bit…rushed? Once Neil got kidnapped, I looked at the amount of pages left and my heart just sunk. I genuinely thought the Foxes weren’t going to make it to finals, because it didn’t seem like there was time for that. Then the kidnapping went by surprisingly fast. Obviously it couldn’t have lasted for too long, because Neil would have been irreversibly damaged. But I just expected a bit more meat. And that’s my main complaint with everything after the kidnapping: I wanted “a bit more meat.”

I know you can only describe Exy games in writing in so many before it gets boring, but I really expected more description for the last few games of the series. Especially the finals. And then there’s like NO content after the finals, just a short epilogue. I really did want a little bit more than that. To be fair, everything is resolved, which is more than I expected. Except…I guess we never hear the result of Aaron’s trial, right? And I feel like Neil‘s injuries should have still been impacting him during the games against USC and Edgar Allen, but whatever.

I don’t think the conclusion was bad, by any means! But imo, the book really would have benefited from at least 50 more pages.

I don’t remember much of the fic but Allison and Neil are friends and she doesn’t like Neil and Andrew’s relationship so the kind of convenience Andrew to break up with Neil ? And when Neil finds out he got in an argument with her (I think he mentions Seth), and he went on a run for several hours? Or a day? Something like that. When he gets to his room the foxes are waiting for him. If I’m not mistaken I think it’s alternate universe.

I have been reading a lot of kandreil fics lately and what happens in a lot of these is that there is this moment in which for example kevin kisses neil behind andrew’s back and kevin freaks out horribly but its ok as maybe andrew and neil already talked about liking kevin or this happening or being all three together etc and I always find it entertaining bc of the unnecessary freak out in one character’s part but I would like to read fics in which something like this happens but it’s actually not okay and they’re messy before they are together and fully settled. Any recs?

Can someone please write a Criminal Minds x AFTG crossover fanfic??😭🙏🏽 Like one where the OG criminal minds cast and of course the aftg characters are in it. The worlds would collide so well, and it would be so freaking interesting~~

I've just recently gotten into fanfic. It was this Andreil fic that finally convinced me to get an AO3 account, but then I couldn't find it again after I got the account. It was a recommendation from here, so I'm hoping someone remembers.

It was an Andrew POV, with 5-ish chapters. It starts with him having a vivid fantasy about facefucking Neil in the moonlight. The fantasy sends him into a bit of a spiral about how similar "forcing" Neil to take it was similar to the times he was forced. He works through it. The story was thoughtful and hot. Sound familiar to anyone?

Hiii, so basically I read a fic about Neil being a doctor a while ago and I can't find it

Like, Neil is a doctor in some hospital, there is also Matt (who is a nurse I think), Allison (who is the head nurse) and they're kinda like an awesome trio

And Neil has an injured leg thanks to his father almost cutting it off

He met Andrew who is a Pro Exy player because he dislocated his shoulder and Neil is thinking that he can take on an other patient even though he is way above his required hours

I'm absolutely craving this fic and other doctor or nurse Neil, I absolutely love the idea of it !
