Transfering from CCF to ATC

Basically, I've come to the point in my CCF squadron where I feel I'm not getting as much as I can out of the Air Cadets as a whole. This is a lot down to my OC being unorganised and nothing ever getting done, or if it does its around 1-2 months late. This has really come after I have been trying to get away on more camps and courses. My OC controls all of this because I, nor any other CFAV in the unit has access to BADER Camp Portal, so all the bidding has to go through the OC via email, and so the available courses or camps are rare to get an oppotunity to bid onto, also my OC rarely reads his emails, so there is no way if I wanted to bid onto them to do so. Although I havn't had the issue of being completly underqualified as I have achieved things such as: Master Cadet, Bronze Leadership, Silver DofE, Instructor Cadet (MOI, JCIC), Bronze VGS Wings (I know not really a qualification that one), as well because I'm from a CCF I also have done quite a bit of the ACF sylabus.

This has led me to thinking it might be for the best if I transfer to an ATC unit instead.
The only slight issues in the way are; that I'm a Sgt in my Unit, (which I know I might lose if I transfer, but I'm fine with that). And that I'm currently the only SNCO in the unit, so I think if I leave the whole unit will go to pot even more, as I do most of the admin side of stuff such as making and organising lessons, disicpline, uniform etc.
Then there is also the issue that I age out in around a years time.

So basically my question is:

- Is it possible to transfer from CCF to ATC at this point in time
- How would it work if I could transfer? I've known people to transfer the other way from ATC to CCF and they kept both (but I assume this is not standard practice)

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.

Standard First aid/Emergency first aid

Could a recognized emergency or general first aid course—complete with a certification card from a lifesaving society—be accepted by my squadron for the badge?

Transferring sqn

So I have been in cadets for nearly 4 years. I have silver leadership and music and silver first and master and bronze shot radio and cyber with pre dofe and blue road marching. I am a cadet. I am thinking about moving sqn being ready for a new challenge. I have been for a visit and I loved it because learnt banner drill. I am planning of 2 more visits then deciding. My friend who's a sgt there asked if I could make recruitment stuff.

Tips to become NCO

I would really like to be an NCO, and I’ll probably apply for the next promotions or I’ll do it next year. Idk yet. I’ve only been in 10 months now, so I know I’m not ready for it yet, but I would like to prepare. How to you write a good promotion letter? Is there anything I need to know before applying? I’ve been told to work on my confidence, how would I do that? I have first class, EFA, blue comms/radio, blue wings and I’m halfway to getting my blue leadership. I’m going on a camp soon, and I always try to bid for everything I can. Is there anything I can improve on?

I'm just stupid

I've recently attended a l98 iwt course. And it took me 4 time to finally pass.I feel completely retarded and I seemingly got worse and worse test to test. The first test I only failed because after doing a nsp I forget to immediately do another one before stripping. They all progressively got worse other the 1 hour and half approximately it took me to finally pass.

Currently feeling rather stupid with i never before failing a cadet test of any sort in my 2 and half years of being in corps.I was reassured by a wing warrant officer ,flt lt and flying officer that it was normal and I just need work on my confidence. But honestly a week after i still feel completely retarded and to be honest don't really want to the l98 wht when in it expires in approximately 6 months in fear of making myself looking even more stupid.

ps. sorry for being quite ranty

Rude soon-to-be Corporal

Hey guys,

I was walking through town yesterday when I saw two cadets from my squadron. (One of them is going to get promoted on Monday). I don't talk to them often. I just looked at them, and they both told me to fuck off. I asked them why, and they both just kept saying it. I don't want to tell staff, as I don't want to be the reason that person doesn't get a promotion.

What are your thoughts on this?

(Edit: AL Lewis is coming on the day that the cadet is getting promoted too, so it'd just look worse for them)

Favoritism and "representation" at Bagotville

I just finished a 2 weeks camp Bagotville and as much as I enjoyed it, the favoritism was bad. I'm not going to be specific with anything for privacy reasons but even the cadets who "won the awards" didn't actually do anything and were just chosen for representation. I talked to cadets from other section and MOST of those who were chosen were actually "not good cadets" (can't drill, disrespectful towards others, arrogant, selfish. Not all of them of course). In our section, there was a cadet who was literally being babied by the officer and a female sgt. The male sgts and our fsgt seemed to notice it and looked annoyed too.

And even if they maybe did something really special to deserve it, I can name others in our section who deserved it even more for their leadership, kindness, respectfulness, etc. At least choose someone who can drill correctly and didn't miss half the cadet year. Is it the same at other camps?

edit: for the representation part, they chose disabled, lgbtq+, religious, etc. cadets on purpose and it's obvious. No hate against any of these people, of course! But speaking with other cadets, they didn't seem deserving of the awards or even to be at the camp.

Hate comments?

Hey, it’s me again. Again, I’m asking if I should report some things to staff. A guy from my squadron has been giving me a hard time. He’s been calling me the T slur (I’m ftm) and overall just being horrible towards me because I’m trans. He’s also been really homophobic towards my friends and calling them the F slur. Another guy in my squadron has been telling my friend she’s not Indian enough and it’s starting to upset her. Would it be the right thing to do, or should we just deal with it privately? It’s happened on squadron, if that needs to of happened. Me and my friend have discussed and we still don’t know if we should report. TIA.

Two people on a camp together that shouldn’t be, what do I do?

Hey, so basically let me explain the backstory behind this first. I did my DofE Bronze Practice Exped back in May and it was me and 5 other cadets. Two of the cadets are a couple. I think you might see what I’m alluding to already. Basically on the walk the whole time, they kept touching eachother inappropriately and kissing and making very sexual jokes the whole time. Basically the guy, let’s call him C, said he and the 2 other guys couldn’t all fit in the tent together, so he got a tent all to himself. At around 10:30-11:00pm at night the girl, let’s call her I, snuck into his tent. You can probably guess what happened, as I was the unfortunate person who heard it all. Basically, a few days after I couldn’t stand it anymore and me and two friends told our Plt Off, There were sanctions issued (suspension+warnings for both) and it was said they aren’t allowed near each other at cadets or on activities. This includes camps. They have both been selected for the same camp, even though they’re not supposed to be. What do I do? Do I tell staff? I just don’t want it to look like I’m creating problems because it is known that I don’t like them.

TL;DR - Couple did things on DofE, not supposed to be on the same activities, put on a camp together and I don’t know if i should tell staff or not. TIA.
