For context: I am a massive music nut. Like, I am a raver at heart and listen to pretty much a lot of the rave stuff that appears in the Japanese scene and in the 2010s electronic scene, alongside a lot of alt-metal/alt-rock!

I cross referenced my general music experiences and found that I matched a lot of scene music taste (think SOTD, sleeping with sirens, set it off, pierce the veil, S3RL, lapfox traxx, Millionaires, Saosin, The Fall of Troy, etc.), plus I follow PLUR very heavily and… it seems prevalent in scene from what I’ve seen :)

Now, the question is - can I be considered scene? Or am I closer to scenemo or scenecore? (Not a big digicore/hyperpop nut though)

I haven’t bought any accessories or clothes yet, this is purely everything I just dug out from whatever corners of my house I could, but honestly I’ve felt so much better than I have the past few weeks by finally feeling like myself :3

Also: about the title - funnily enough a lot of my other music taste works with a whole cyberangel/y3k vibe, and that’s one other aesthetic that has felt like… me. Due to this, I’m also getting into techwear and kaiwai tenshi, because I think being able to express myself in two ways is also really goddamn awesome so like, I wanna be more into the communities that I’m apparently close to!! And if I’m a scene kiddo at heart but also a cyberangel then… why not both???

Not used to dressing up or being allowed to express myself but ive been trying smth recently and ive been looking how its going. Hair looks clunky because I normally have my sides shaved that I'm trying to grow out so I dont have the proper fringe look, im trying to find some extentions for the sides

Honest advice needed!!! i got my hair cut yesterday and i feel like it resembles an alt cut more than a scene/emo fringe cut. I know curly hair is harder to nail the style with, but i’m trying to get it perfect. Does anyone have any advice they’re willing to give, how i can change it up?

Im scared ill regred this but kinda missing my black hair.. maybe i should go with blond? Idk

i know that MSI and bands like ROB were closely intertwined with scene culture, both in clothing styles, and music styles. would you consider it scene?

It looks awful but it’s the thought that counts at least -_- I always call myself “spiritually scene” bcuz I listen to the music and have the accessories but not the hair. I don’t wanna overthink the look but if that’s what a lot of people say scene is, I might as well try to do the hairstyle but my hair won’t let me add more volume and I tried to do choppy layers at home but I couldn’t. I also straightened my hair as much as possible but as you can see it’s still wavy. What would you suggest? Also I blurred out my face cuz I’m not confident in myself yet.

For context I had the full scene cut (pics included) for a long time but I’m a trans man and the long hair made me dysphoric so I cut it into a mullet. Got dressed up scene the other day and am wondering if it still comes off scene? First pic is me now and last two are before I cut it
