Hi there, I’m Taiga. I’ve been recently missing amino so I’m taking a shot in the dark and messaging on this forum. I don’t do cannon characters or any plots from tv shows.

I love the combination of fantasy and romance plots or anything with the add on of romance. I also enjoy various pairings (BxG, BxB, BxBxB+) with the recent interest of trying GxG. I play dom and sub characters.

About me

I’m 22 years old living in pacific time. If you’re looking for someone that replies multiple times a day or is active, that’s not me. The minimum I strive for is once a day but it can fall back to every other day. (I’ll keep you updated if not)
I enjoy talking in OOC about our characters or ideas on how to progress the story further. I also enjoy writing/giving life to side characters. I have many :)

I love world building and I’m not against dark themes. I also do not have any triggers to mention. My length in replies various between semi literate and novela depending on my interest and what I have to go off of.

I (like many others from what I've noticed) miss amino and want alternatives. I've been reflecting recently on it and I started really missing the old feeling of it

I really loved the part where you could just. Find a whole community with numerous different random roleplays in them, different stories all apart of one page in a weird way. It was also amazing being able to look through community pages like it's some kind of social media app and go "wooah cool". I think this is why disboard isn't doing it for me since a lot of discord servers lack the variety in all kinds of roleplays that were being hosted in one community

Which is why I'm bringing up my question... Are there any alternatives like?? At all that actually feel like amino or has a similar vibe at least to what I liked? That are preferably not as pest and freak infested? (large ask ik). Maybe even on browser too since I prefer browser stuff

Any emulators, programs similar to the Wayback Machine, something?? I tried using the Wayback Machine already, but a lot of the images and pages I'm looking for won't load properly

Does anyone know where these people migrated to?

It's been a hot minute since I've done this, but I do have a good few years experience having grown up roleplaying (amino 😞)

I've recently created a new elf oc, and really want to have a chance to use her! I do have a pinterest board for her, along with a document with information on her, including backstory - though that will likely come up in the rp 😄

Using her backstory, I was interested in doing a role where the characters are both on their own adventure around their universe and come across each other. They make the decision to be companions, though there isn't much trust in the beginning.

I'm looking for something slowburn, where the two need to learn to know and trust each other. Backstories will be shared slowly, vulnerabilities and insecurities reviled.

On their adventure, they must survive whatever or whoever may be lurking around the corner. To keep things interesting, there can be moments where they don't get along at all, arguments or silly fights, moments where they need to help each other out, vulnerable, quiet moments, and so on!

As time goes on, and they learn to know and trust one another, a romance will begin to bloom, though I think this should also be slow to fit in with the slow burn process.

After this, we can decide where things go!

Your character can be whoever you wish, any species, any looks, whatever! Have fun with your character! Other characters can be introduced as well (:

Other things to add:

- I'm 19 (closer to 20, sadly) so please be 18 or over

- I'm from the UK though timezones don't bother me too much

- If you're busy, try let me know, but don't worry too much about it, and I'll try do the same

- I'm off uni at the moment, but come September I'll be back so replies may vary

- I struggle with motivation at times so I won't be active 24/7, and I don't expect you to be active all the time either

- I also work so that takes up time too

- I prefer a few paragraphs, but I'm not expecting story length responses because even I struggle to do that

- Good grammar is also preferred

Hello. My name is Oblivion or you can just call me Brandon. Im 24 and I watch/read a lot of anime and manga (my favorites being Jujutsu Kaisen and Berserk). I also play a lot of video games (my favorite game of all time is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim). Im usually pretty chill but I will admit that I can get annoyed pretty easy but it takes A LOT to make me actually upset.

A fair warning to all my potential partners, I get attached very easily and im pretty weird once I get comfortable. I understand if thats a turn away. Im actually impossible to make uncomfortable so you can be as weird or unhinged as you want with me. I encourage it. I have a pretty strange and dark sense of humor. I love making friends with and getting to know my partners and having conversations. I LOVE world building and id like that my partner does aswell.

As for my roleplay information. I LOVE dark and disturbing themes/topics so i like when my partners do aswell. I have absolutely no limits or triggers so id like if my partners dont either. I like to introduce and control NPCs so please do the same, even if i introduced them.

Im very detailed as im adv.lit - novella so please be the same. Please dont ignore anything in my posts, acknowledge everything and I'll do the same for you. Please 18+. You dont have to ask to do anything to or with my character, just let me know what you're doing beforehand. I tend to use images and gifs to help explain something better.

As odd as it sounds, I only do 1x1s with women. Doing a 1x1 with another guy feels awkward. My preferred genres are action, adventure, fantasy and supernatural. Im okay with romance if our characters have children. I like when the roleplay focuses on the next generation. I also like pur characters starting as children, like 13, 14 cause it adds more time and potential for growth in my opinion. I dont really use proper plots. I like to world build, establish the villain(s) and go with the flow. Open world roleplay as I call it. Arcs, plots, etc can be made based off the actions of our characters.

I’m looking for someone who enjoys daily responses. Now that it’s summer, I have a lot more free time and can be very active. I especially love slice-of-life stories centered around family dynamics, conflict, and character development, but I’m also open to romance and a variety of other plots. Writing Style:
My response length varies depending on the scene. On average, I write anywhere from a few paragraphs to advanced lit responses when the situation calls for it. That said, I love character driven interactions and dialogue, so I’m perfectly happy with shorter posts during conversation heavy scenes. I prefer quality and engagement over meeting a specific word count.

The wall feature, man. Screw my notes app, writing on wall was one of THE amino-coded things of all time. 💔 I'm especially upset that Kyodo doesn't have it.

It seems I’m pretty late to the shutdown of the app, but is it really gone gone? Like for good? I originally got the app as a 10 or 11 year old, so around 2015/2016 and since then had many, many times taken breaks ranging from like a month to years. Last time I used the app was honestly most likely 3-4 years ago, maybe even longer.

But I am now bored at home for the summer, and so I looked it up to see if it could help cure the boredom, and the apps just completely gone from the App Store! I can’t even find it in my downloaded apps anymore. The website also doesn’t work. So my question is, what happened to it? Why the shutdown? And will it ever come back?

EDIT: Also are there any amino alternatives? Like to rp with someone as an OC created on the app? Sorry for all the questions thanks yall 🤗

Lowkey, I forgot about Amino. One of the first social media platforms I joined at was probably 11 years old. Some dude tried to ask me for a naked pic man 😭😭 I was always arguing on there with people in gcs, and it just got worse in voice calls. It was actually insane. I wish I had kept the screenshots. Deleted them out of embarrassment, but those times were funny as hell. I was in the anime and neko communities ( I was banned from there so many times...) probably the best fun I had online. Internet isn't the same. Unsupervised kids call you the n-word now.

I went to reinstall, but it's gone. 😐 Reminds me of when I used to use Google Plus then one day then discontinued it for no reason. Oh my goodness.

My name is Wisam. I’m 24 years old, originally from Syria, and I’ve been living in Germany for 12 years.

I’m currently building a new community app called Nabd.

The idea behind Nabad is to create a modern community space where people can build profiles, join communities, post updates, chat, share ideas, and connect with others in different languages.

I grew up around online communities, and I always liked the feeling of apps where people could find a place for their interests, their language, and their identity. That is the feeling I want to bring back, but with a cleaner, more modern design and a community-first direction.

This is still in development, but I’m working on it step by step. Today I’m sharing some early screenshots from inside the app.

I’m not a big company. I’m just one person trying to turn this idea into something real and useful. I’m learning, building, fixing, improving, and trying to create something people would actually enjoy using.
