You have a swimmers body - not in a bad way

I joined a new (dry land) workout class and the instructor asked if I’m a swimmer. I said well yes I swim every week. She said ah yes you have a swimmers body.., but NOT in a bad way. I was like what bad way?!? I am dying to know what that means. Big shoulders (on a woman)??

Help finding cute/trendy clothing for an “apple shaped” body?

Hello! I am posting this on behalf of my girlfriend, who is currently having a tough time finding clothes that fit her and that she actually likes. She’s in her mid 20s, and she feels like the clothes typically available for plus sized women are for older women, or are too modest/more for working women. She wants to feel cute, romantic, and alluring. It’s also hard to find clothes that fit, since if she goes off of her waist measurements things feel saggy in the crotch area, and if she goes based off of her hips it’s much too tight in the waist. This is due to the fact that her waist/hip measurements are much closer together than average. She is also autistic with sensory issues and can’t tolerate clothing that feels like it digs in too much, or fabric that is scratchy.

So far she seems to like what she sees on the JessaKae website if that gives a sense of the style of things she likes. We’re also tight on money so it would be nice to find affordable clothing. Any suggestions or words of advice are appreciated, not being able to find clothes she feels good in has been really emotionally difficult on her and I just want to be able to help. Thank you for reading!

Am I going through some 30's body evolution, or am I just out of shape?

I've always been naturally small. I'm 155 cm tall, my weight throughout my 20's was 46-47kg. I've always worn size XS.

Today, I decided to get new pairs of skinny jeans, since I've worn out all my old ones. Since 29 y.o. I've noticed that my hips have grown wider, so I've been using pants in size S... But today, two years later, I had to size up to a medium. My hips, thighs and waist are wider, but I don't think I've become fatter? In fact, I workout now more than I did in my 20's, and eat a little better than I used to. I also feel like my shoulders are broader, I can't fit any XS shirts on me anymore, they're really tight on my shoulders and upper back area.

My weight now is between 48,5-50kg, and I don't feel like I've done any "bad" lifestyle changes. Quite the opposite, actually. I'm more active than I was in my 20's, and I eat better because it boosts my mood and energy.

What happened? Did your body change in your 30's? Does anyone know if this is a normal "evolution" of the female body?

Is it me or there are people out there who have Hip-Dips???

Am I the only one, or do other people also have this? My waist isn’t fully curved inwards, there’s a slight bony or fleshy bulge on the sides just above the hips. I can’t tell if it’s extra fat or just the bone structure, but it makes my waist look less defined. I al a big fan of bodycon dress but i am afraid to wear those dresses. Even the skirts don’t look flattering on me.
Please mentally help me out.

What is something that apple shaped bodied humans (particularly females) are tired of hearing?

I’ll go first, “You just need to go to the gym or exercise more to get a flat tummy” 😔

I can’t even when people make those comments as if exercising regularly is going to get rid of my shape. Unfortunately, it’s all genetics. I wish people who are not part of this shape category would be more understanding of that and not say things in such a rude manner.

About 10 years ago I went down to my lowest weight that I’ve ever been in my entire adult life (about 120lbs which is considered normal for a 5’2”) and guess what??? My tummy was still HUGE in relation to the rest of my body. I felt so frustrated by that because WDYM I’ve been dieting and exercising like a maniac for the past few months and I still have a big waistline 😭 What I wouldn’t give to someday get back to that or at least close to it…

Anyway, I’m curious what other people who have this shape are sick of hearing from other people who don’t seem to understand?

Am I an apple?

I’m 5,6ft (167cm) tall, I gain and carry weight 99% on my belly and bust. Everything I wear makes me look 2x more fat and really top heavy. My ribcage is really wide no matter how much weight I lose, it makes my waist look huge even when I’m skinny. My waist-to-hip ratio is 0,69. I think I’m somewhere between apple and inverted triangle dependig on my weight. Please help me with some fashion advice, especially for the upcoming colder seasons. Flare jeans and skinny jeans are a huge no for me, I’m also looking for tops that doesn’t make me loon more top-heavy and flatter me without showing too much cleavage. I need some “work-friendly” outfits. Thank you so much if you’re willing to help, any advice is welcome. :)
