Should I tell a girl from work that I’m interested in something casual?

There’s a girl work at a shop our work place is same but different brands We’ve been talking and getting to know each other and I recently asked for her Instagram which she gave me
I find her attractive and I’m interested in her in more than just a friendly way the thing is I’m not looking for a serious relationship or dating right now i would be more interested in something casual if she was also comfortable with that
She might be getting transferred to another branch not even 100% sure if she has actually been transferred or she’ll be coming back tomorrow before she left today I went to see her but I ended up not saying anything because I was really unsure how she would react
Now I’m wondering what the right approach is.
Should I first continue talking to her on Instagram and see if there’s mutual interest before bringing up anything ?
Or should I be honest relatively early and tell her that I’m attracted to her but I’m not looking for a relationship?
I obviously don’t want to make her uncomfortable or make things awkward at work if she isn’t interested.
What would be the most respectful way to handle this?

5 months unemployed and hoping for some advice or help finding a job

Hi everyone,

It’s been about 5 months since I lost my job, and I’m still actively looking for a new opportunity. I’ve been applying to different positions, but unfortunately, I haven’t had much luck so far.
I’m reaching out here because I’m hoping someone might be able to offer advice, referrals, or point me toward any job opportunities that could be a good fit.
I’m open to different types of work and willing to learn. If anyone knows of companies hiring or has any advice on how to improve my chances of getting hired, I would genuinely appreciate it.
Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this or share a lead. I’m really hoping to get back on my feet and find stable work soon.

I am really going through a difficult time, asking for some help

I never thought I would have to make a post like this, but right now I genuinely don’t know what else to do.

I’m currently in the UAE and going through a very difficult financial situation. My visit visa is expiring soon, and I need to renew it for another two months so that I can legally stay here while I continue looking for work and try to get my life back on track

The total cost for the renewal is around AED 1,250, and unfortunately, I don’t have the money available right now. I’m honestly very worried about what will happen if I can’t arrange it in time.

I’m not asking for help because I’m looking for an easy way out. I’m asking because I’m at a point where I genuinely need a little support to get through this difficult period. Even a small contribution would bring me one step closer to being able to stay legally and continue searching for work.

If anyone is willing to help, either partially or fully, I would be incredibly grateful. I’m also happy to provide proof of my visa situation and the renewal cost privately to anyone who wants to verify my situation.

I know everyone has their own struggles and responsibilities, so I completely understand if you’re not in a position to help financially. I’m just hoping that someone out there can help me get through this difficult moment and give me a little more time to find a way forward.

Thank you for reading this and for showing me a little kindness during a difficult time.

Planning a Dubai trip in October — would you still go given the current Iran-US situation?

I’m planning a 5–6 day trip to Dubai and Abu Dhabi in October, but I’m getting increasingly worried because of the current Iran-US conflict and recent news about missiles and airspace in the region.
For people living in the UAE or people who travel there frequently:
How safe/normal does Dubai currently feel?
How much does the Iran situation actually affect everyday life in Dubai?
Would you personally book a Dubai trip for October right now?
Would you book refundable flights and hotels and wait until September to make the final decision?
At what point would you consider cancelling?
I’m not looking for reassurance — I’d genuinely like an honest assessment from people familiar with the situation.

Best way to regularly transfer €5,000+ from AED to EU bank without losing a fortune on the exchange rates?

Looking for opinions/experiences from people who regularly transfer larger amounts from the UAE to Europe.
For €1,000 or so, I wouldn’t mind a slightly worse exchange rate. But when transferring €5,000+ at a time, the difference starts becoming significant.
UAE bank exchange rates seem pretty bad, so I’ve been looking at exchange houses instead. The rates seem better, but I’m hesitant about sending a larger amount through one. I’ve also seen quite a few reviews mentioning transfers being delayed or taking much longer than expected.
For those who regularly transfer €5k, €10k+ etc. from AED to a EUR account, what do you actually use?
Bank transfer? Exchange house? Wise is not receiving in aed unfortunately.
Main priorities are a good AED/EUR rate, reliability and knowing the money isn’t going to disappear into the void for weeks 😂
Would love recommendations based on actual experience.

Urgently needed 2k

Hi Everyone,

I would like to know if there is any option to borrow this small amount of 2k as I need it for an hospital emergency purpose,I will payback asap max within 1 month but I don't have cheque book or anything to give security but I am ready to give my original ID or license as security as this is the only thing I have now.

It will be a great support if anyone can do this favour urgently.

I am completely devastated.

I've never been in a situation this difficult in my entire life, and it feels like every door is closing on me.

Yesterday, someone kindly messaged me and promised they would help with the emergency fund. I felt a massive wave of relief, only for them to back out and break their word at the absolute last minute. To go from having a lifeline to being completely dropped has left me feeling entirely hopeless and invisible.

I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

Please dont put any bad comments if you can't help.

Thank you.

Monthly rental Dubai

I am looking to stay in Dubai for about 3 or 4 months before relocating.
I’m trying to find a short term rental. But I’m finding it incredibly difficult.
I find the prices a bit insane and they increase at least by 2.5k monthly and the agents seem to be making up the numbers as they go. I’m petrified of getting scammed cause I can’t afford it.

Where do I even look and who can I trust at this point?

Anyone from the Events & Hospitality industry here? How are things looking for the coming months

Hey everyone,

I wanted to hear from people working in the events, hospitality, weddings, entertainment, and related industries in Dubai/UAE.

For the last 6 months or so, work has been extremely slow for me, especially when it comes to events. I’m curious to know if others in the industry are experiencing the same thing or if things are starting to pick up.

How are things looking from your side for the next few months? Are you seeing more enquiries/bookings coming in, or is it still pretty quiet?

Also, what are you guys planning to do if things continue like this? Are you switching to other types of work, exploring different industries, moving to another market, or just waiting for things to pick up?

Would really appreciate hearing honest experiences from people in the industry. I’m sure I’m not the only one trying to figure out what the next few months are going to look like.

Place to stay

Hi everyone!

I’m a female looking for a place to stay in Dubai and I’m open to either:

• Sharing an apartment with a female roommate

• A private room

• A small studio

I’m looking for a safe, clean and comfortable place. I’m flexible with the area as long as it’s reasonably accessible.

Ideally, I’d like to move in soon and pay the rent at the end of the month. I’m happy to discuss the arrangement privately.

If you have a room/studio available or you’re also looking for a female roommate and would like to find a place together, please DM me with the location, rent and details.

Thank you

My husband isn’t sure if he loves me anymore and I‘m falling apart

He is going through some emotional struggles and personal struggles and he said he doesn’t always feel like he loves me anymore. We’ve had a lot of relationship difficulties in the past and I’ve hurt him a lot with things I said. I’m trying to repair it but he still does not have feelings for me other than in some moments or when we are intimate.
He described his feelings as no idea how to meet my needs, indifferent, not in tune with his emotions, generally overwhelmed and past emotional scarring (from the relationship) leading to difficulty expressing.
I don’t know how to take all this anymore and I still love him dearly. I can’t stand the thought of losing him, he was the person I wanted to grow old with.
I keep reading a message he sent me 2 months ago where he told me he loves me the most in the world and he has intense feelings for me and he appreciates me a lot and misses me. He said he has moments where he feels like this about me still. But he said all this started way earlier.
I don’t understand why everything changed so fast. I know I’ve made mistakes, I’m trying to communicate during times when he can open up to me and tell me that he loves me, when we are intimate. We are still intimate regularly and he initiates it. He gets vulnerable in these moments.
He didn’t want to go to therapy but I have convinced him to go just for one session by himself. I made his appointment but I’m scared he’s not going to go.

He has been taking GLP-1 (Mounjaro), he isn’t overweight but he used it still to lose weight and he hasn’t really been doing as should be taken (without doctor). I’m wondering if it could be a reason but I don’t want to find excuses. He said he will stop it now even though he didn’t want to at first.

Has anybody experienced this and it didn’t end in divorce? Any advice on how to get through this?

Feeling stuck at 4k AED in automotive procurement in Dubai

Hey Guys,

I’m working as a Procurement Executive in the automotive sector in Dubai. I handle American and European parts, plus lubricants and batteries. The problem is I’m only getting paid 4,000 AED with zero allowances ,no transport, no food, nothing.
Every time I open LinkedIn or Reddit I see people discussing whether 40k or even 70k AED is a good salary in Dubai, and it makes me feel like I’m falling further behind. I have a lot of responsibilities at work and I’m pretty solid in procurement, finance, IT, and a few other areas, but I’m clearly underpaid.
I’ve tried looking for better opportunities but haven’t had any luck so far. Any advice on how to improve my situation or land something that actually pays fairly?

Lead Engineer: Woman in a scarf?

Starting a new job tomorrow. I am going as a lead engineer position. I am thinking of starting to do hijab now at my new office (I just used to keep a dupatta over my head with a bit of my hair showing in my last office) but I wasnt in lead position in my last office and I interviewed without scarf.

So now I will be going on my firet day wearing a scarf. I know this is a Muslim country but all my team is non Muslim (I interviewed and stalked on LinkedIn)

Hopefully a woman in a scarf in a lead position is OK? or people are going to judge me?"
