Anyone here who are fans of Franka?

Anyone here who are fans of Franka?

First saw some Franka comics during transit from NY to Malaysia at a Dutch airport and was a fan ever since. Managed to get at least 3 volumes of Franka books from Lambiek by mail.

Really love her feisty, positive attitude. Hope to get more of her books someday.

usa 3–5 immagini massimo
la prima deve essere molto forte visivamente
evita nudità troppo esplicite se il subreddit non è chiaramente NSFW
metti watermark piccolo e discreto
formato verticale funziona meglio su Reddit mobile
Eviterei titoli troppo aggressivi tipo “hot sex art”: su Reddit spesso riducono visibilità o fanno scattare moderazioni automatiche.

Hercule Potiron – A Surreal Detective Parody Illustrated by Giancarlo Caracuzzo

Published in 2008 by Éditions Delcourt, Hercule Potiron is a humorous graphic novel parody inspired by the legendary detective Hercule Poirot.

I had the pleasure of illustrating the entire book, bringing to life its bizarre investigations, eccentric characters and absurd situations through expressive storytelling, dynamic page composition and exaggerated visual comedy.

The project mixes classic European detective fiction with surreal humor, turning every mystery into a chaotic and theatrical adventure filled with irony and unexpected twists.

Hercule Potiron remains one of the most unusual and entertaining projects I worked on during my collaboration with the French publishing market.

Looking for the name of an old comic series about a passenger airplane that crashed in the Amazon jungle

Several passengers survived the crash. They found themselves in a remote part of the Amazon jungle with no humans in sight.

After waiting for days for a rescue, the passengers started to turn on each other.

Among the passengers, a European actor with a western stage name, a South American former general, and other civilians from different countries.

At the end, they managed to make a hot air balloon, but one of them needed to stay on the ground in order to operate it. The ageing actor, who reveled his real Polish name, decided to stay behind.

The comics was published in Tintin magazine.

Found this exchange in the main comics sub, and thought it could be an interesting subject. What european comics could we pick as a counterpoint to Berserk's attention to detail?

Do you think that The Smurfs works better on TV adaptations than movie adaptations?

Do you think that The Smurfs works better on TV adaptations than movie adaptations? It's because the Smurfs comic stories are shorter compared to Tintin and Asterix where their comic stories are longer.

need help getting German Language graphic novels with intense tank battle scenes.

The title explains pretty well. I want some German Language graphic novels with intense tank vs tank battle scenes. They don't need to be European but r/graphicnovels wouldn't let me post for some reason. They just need to depict German speakers speaking German. They don't even need to be in the German military they can be in any military as long as there is reason for them to be speaking German. The Tank battles need to be actually intense as well. I don't want anything documentary-ish where the story is narrated to you and you see it on page but you feel like a spectator, not a character. I also want to know how to procure them .There is supposedly a German translation of "The Black Knight Story" by Motofushi Kobayashi but I can't find it anywhere.

I just read the two volumes that have been translated into English and I love them. The art, humor and characters are great. Is there any chance that Fantagraphics will translate any more volumes?

Schloss der Tiere - Le Château des animaux by Xavier Dorison & Felix Delep - a beauty of a graphic novel

Being the first work in comics for illustrator Felix Delep, another massive four tome series by mastermind Xavier Dorison (Long John Silver, 1629, Das dritte Testament) just received it's final installment.

The covers are nothing but stunning, the interior art immediatley takes people by their hands, especially when they grew up with classic Disney-movies.

The story itself is a hommage/continuation of Animal Farm by George Orwell. And it is a worthy one!

Get it, read it. Blind recommendation!

Original art by Bablet, any price idea?

Hello, i'm posting here because i own this beautiful art by Mathieu Bablet. It's made with indian ink on paper, approximately 23cm height and 15 width. It represent one of the main character of Midnight Tales 2 which is visible on the cover of the book.

Have you any approximation of the price of this original art?

Thank you! :)
