Hello,

I am looking for the name of a comic book series, but I can only recall one detail about it. It is likely a series from the late 80s or the 90s. The hero (or heroes) gets "abducted" by winged beings (good or evil? I'm not sure). Sorry for such a meager clue; time has taken its toll on my memory.

Thanks for your help!

Please help me find this comic!

Please help me! I'm searching the name of a comic that I used to read when I was little, so like 2015 (I’m 2008). It was a kids newspaper with rather sleazy drawings of that boy who made trips to real places but pariodized them and the names of the (real) countries were disfigured. He had curly black hair up to the neck, thin, little goatee, (practically usopp). The comic strip was caricatural and stereotypical about the inhabitants of the place, and I remember I particularly remember that on the edges of the vignette there were silly and amusing details about the "invented destination". I particularly remember the ones of the pariodized Lapon and a place where there was something like Gnu's, and he got the mark (the one you do with hot stamp) on him on his ass cheek. He ate weird foods, obviously stereotypical, like in Greenland with walrus eyes or something like that. I remember he was talking about the kind "we suggest to visit this and do this..." but in the panels, not him with the little cloud like in regular comics. There were mini stupid maps at the bottom of the page, and the comic didn't take up the entire page because there were funny details outside the panel complex. I'd be grateful if you can help me someway🫶🏻

Besoin d'aide pour retrouver une bd.

I read it quite a while ago, so this will be a bit jumbled, but I'll try to provide as many details as possible. For starters, the characters are pirates—or at least on ships—and they're animals. The art style is dark and a bit gory, but it's full of humor; I read two volumes (small, softcover format), though there might be more. I recall bits of the story: a beginning where the main characters are fleeing a hanging; an encounter with a marabou stork/vulture who tells them his life story; the ending, where one character winds up leading a death cult that has a sort of Indian vibe; and a chase scene through a big city... I believe it's French, and I don't know if it was ever translated.

Sorry for the chaotic description, but this has been bugging me for a few days—if you have any leads, I'd really appreciate it! (sorry for the Google translate English...)

Searching for an artist that draws in minute detail.

I'm looking for artists that perhaps draw for several scenarists and have a lot of attention for details. It can be B/W or color, I don't mind.

Example: Andreas

FORMIC WARS — A sci-fi story I drew for Marvel | Episode 1 of 7

A few years ago, I had the opportunity to draw Formic Wars, a science-fiction story for Marvel.
The entire series is set in space, in a highly technological sci-fi universe. Formic Wars is structured as a seven-episode story, and this first episode serves as an introduction to the characters, the setting, and the events that will gradually unfold.
The story begins with a sudden and unexpected attack by an alien species resembling gigantic ants. What initially appears to be a mysterious assault is only the beginning of something much bigger…
I’m sharing some pages from Formic Wars-Episode 1 here because I thought it would be interesting to bring this old project back and show it to a new audience.
I’ve been working professionally as a comic book artist for more than 40 years, with work published by Marvel, DC, Image, IDW, Soleil, Dupuis, Delcourt and Sergio Bonelli Editore.
I’m also always open to new collaborations with writers, creators, publishers, and independent projects.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you enjoy Formic Worlds!

The first four volumes of Léonard.

Today, I received the first four volumes of the Belgian comic book series Léonard. I can't wait to read them!

This is just the beginning of my collection!

I’ll be buying four volumes each month; by next year, I’ll have all 56 volumes (though I’m not sure if I’ll buy the 9 special editions)!

What do you think?

CAN YOU PLEASE KISS ALREADY

Been reading Corto Maltese recently, and I’m really loving his relationship with Rasputin. There’s just something about their dynamic that I can’t get enough of, I love how there’s this weird mix of hostility, familiarity, and mutual understanding between them. They’re constantly at each other’s throats, but you can tell there’s also a deep attachment underneath it all. Their interactions are honestly one of my favorite parts of the series.
