This is a little treasure-trove playlist that appeared on one of the later DVD's, I believe.
If you're not familiar with the original show, there's a load of good clips here:

reddit.comPat Woods' magnificent, prairie-rumbling version of "Lonesome Cowboy" (notes in post)
I was feeling kind of down today, so was delighted to see this song pop up in my YT feed. Of course, when I think of *I'm a Poor, Lonesome Cowboy*, I usually think of a quiet voice gently plugging away, maybe accompanied by a ukulele or similar, surrounded by the vast quiet of the plains.
Instead, Woods has reimagined this song as a show-stopping musical / theatre / orchestra piece, with a Buster Scruggs-like character singing Luke's part, an absurdly impressive bass voice doing a counterpart, a lovely womens' section handing the chorus, and a lively orchestra to frame the whole thing. Or something like that.
See if you like it.

youtube.com"Asialyst" rounds up its top-25 BD with Asian themes [notes in post]
I just happened to bump in to this list this morning, and figured I'd share. Their 'best of' timeframe covered is 2017-2021, so at least it's pretty recent. One of the high points of the article is that lots and lots of page samples are shared... in French:

So turn on translate as needed! And here's a sample review:
> In the distance a mountain, story and drawing by Chongrui Nie, 264 pages, Steinkis.
> Fifty years of contemporary Chinese history seen through the lens of episodic stays in a mountainous region of Shanxi: this is the original approach adopted by Chinese artist Chongrui Nie in this major graphic autobiography. An album as captivating for the power of its narrative as for the beauty of its images.

Criminally under-remembered song masterpiece, here's Sonny & Cher's "Baby Don't Go" (1964)

youtube.comHow to deal with the mighty War Train in Rogue Fable IV? (see notes in post)
This was a cool boss, but also quite a hard one. It's four dangerous units that run on a track, powered by a central unit that keeps regenerating them. Freeze scrolls and trapping nets failed to slow it down, so as an Ice Mage I eventually just waded in and cast AOE cold-sapping spells alternating with ice staff shots, plus summoned some helper allies. It took multiple attempts though, and was looking like a failure until the very end.
Maybe going for the central unit first would have been best?
Btw, RF4 is an awesome game if you haven't tried it yet. You can play it in browser [here](https://justin-wang123.itch.io/rogue-fable-iv) and there's an expanded downloadable version on Steam.

Yes, and I'll smack myself on the forehead and see myself out.
Before I do, though, do you have any Bond-related silliness to impart?
Classic Bilestoad and it's sequel for the Macintosh (notes in post)
I never got to play the sequel / reissue / demo, so I found this video quite interesting. The various tweaks and expansions look pretty good to me, altho the graphics seem more like an eyesore. Purple armor and needlessly over-detailed graphics lead the charge on that.
Some games don't look all that great with the A2's rasterized graphics, but I'd argue that classic Bilestoad was one of the best-looking ones of all.
Anyway, see what you think...

Saw this image posted to the Fediverse, but it doesn't look like it ever showed up here. From what I can tell, it comes from a 1934 book depicting workshop situations from Medieval to post-Ren Europe. More pages here:
