A delivery guy stopped in the middle of the road. I learned why brakes and riding gear matter.

Got into an accident today because a delivery guy decided that the middle of the road was the perfect place to pause and figure out where he was going.

I looked down at my bike’s speedometer for literally a moment, looked up, and he was just… standing there. Completely stopped. Trying to decide whether to take the right turn.

There was no warning. No indicator.

Just a stationary scooter in the middle of the road.
I honked, and that’s when he apparently remembered that indicators exist. 😐

I ended up hitting the rear tyre mudguard of his scooter and fell along with my bike. I sustained injuries to my left arm and left knee.
Thankfully, nothing happened to him. He was completely fine. A lot of people stopped to help me, and I’m genuinely grateful for that.
Nothing happened to my bike either. The safety gear did its job really well. 🫡

I was wearing riding sneakers, which protected my ankles during the fall. Definitely one of those things you don’t think much about until you actually need them.

Reminder to everyone buying a bike:
- 60 → 0 is more important than 0 → 60. 🫡
Acceleration is fun. Brakes are what keep the story going. (I went from ~48 to ~15 before hitting the scooter, so they definitely did their job.)

- Invest in proper safety gear.
You never know when you’ll need it.

- If you’re lost, please just pull over and check your map.
Don’t turn the road into your personal navigation loading screen. 🙃

For Sale: my new Basso Venta R

Brand new, did not even get to ride it as I got a new job right 1 week after buying it, so had to move out to a different place 🥲 Bought the bike in first week of July 2026, it has since been sitting alone there in my room 😭

Being very transparent: I bought the bike for ₹2Lakhs, and it has accessories worth ~₹10k. I’m looking for something around ₹1.9Lakhs (obviously negotiable) as it is literally brand new and well assembled + online you get it for ₹2.1Lakhs, so you technically get a ₹30k discount here (including accessories). I can take care of transportation, bike is in Gift city, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

Super new, truly unused, shoot me your offers please.

Bike specs can be found in this listing: (mine is a size M btw, 53/54 something. I’m 5’11”, the fit was good at the bike shop)

My Chocolate Labrador Lashley was Abandoned without my knowledge. I'm Still Looking for Him.

This post is a part of my final attempt to find my chocolate labrador lashley who was abandoned 5 years ago by my father. I will first post a short introduction before explaining lashley's story in detail.

About Lashley:

Chocolate Labrador Retriever

Nicknames: Boochie, Dachaley, Laboli

Distinctive white patch on his chest also known as bolo marks

Age when he was abandoned - 3 1/2 years old

Current age - 8 to 9 years old

Last known area: Domlur, Bengaluru (near Jogupalya, Indiranagar & Ulsoor)

If anyone living in Bangalore recognizes him, knows someone who might have adopted him, or have any information at all—even if it seems insignificant—please leave a comment or contact me through WhatsApp/call +91 8660826795

Detailed explanation of what actually happened & why he was abandoned

Back in 2021, during the COVID-19 pandemic, my family was going through a very difficult time financially and personally. Also during this time my father was suffering from severe chronic depression and other mental issues. After some time we had just moved to a new house, so my dad left Lashley to stay at my grandmother's house and claimed he would bring him to our new house. My father told me he would bring him to our new home once everything settled down. But few months passed by and this did not happen. During that time I used to visit him during the weekends. Some of the pics & videos i have posted here are during that time

So one day without my knowledge, according to my grandmother's account he claimed to take lashley for a walk and when he had returned lashley wasn't there with him. When he was asked about it he told her he had sold it or given it to someone but did not mention the specifics like to whom. When he came home he did not tell us about this. A few days later, my father took his own life at my grandmother's house. It was only then that we found out. During that time, our family was consumed by the shock, grief , funeral, legal matters, and everything that followed after my father's death so our thoughts were consumed by this and finding lashley wasnt at the forefront of our minds I also did not want to disturb my mother and other family members by bringing this up.

After some time we decided to search for lashley but had no idea where he went or with whom he was. We visited some well known breeders and rescue organisations but couldn't find him. Also found out that my father had also given away lashley's vaccination certificates & other things like prescriptions from the vets. So i had lost hope and finally decided that it was almost impossible to ever see him again. I loved him so much and wanted to be with him till his final years this was what made it so bad. I couldn't even see him to wish him a final goodbye before he left me. He was an extremely expressive and affectionate lab who always loved to be around me. I can't imagine how panicked and lost he must have felt after he was given away. He loved me like no other dog ever did. So I just suppressed those memories and went on with my life. But it just didn't work. For the past few months I have been feeling intense regret that I didn't do enough to find him, that I had in a way betrayed him. I kept dreaming about him regularly - both positive and disturbing dreams. So i finally decided I need to make a final and serious attempt to find him before he leaves this world. I want to be with him through his final years.

My search efforts will be both offline and online - I will visit every rescue organisation, veterinary clinics , breeders, pet boarding schools and kennels in my city. I will also be creating pages on every social media platform where I will be documenting and updating my search efforts. Even if the search fails i atleast get to preserve lashley's memories and get to tell his story to many. Hope this post wasn't too long. Thank you for reading

Got scammed of ₹6,000 by Sparify — Can Reddit help me recover my money?

Title: Got scammed of ₹6,000 by Sparify — Can Reddit help me recover my money?

I was trying to buy a leg guard for my Yamaha XSR and ordered it from Sparify. I paid almost ₹6,000 online on August 12th. The website stated that the delivery time would be 1–2 days, which was the main reason I chose to buy from them. The leg guard also looked much stronger and better built compared to the ones available on Amazon or Flipkart.

After 2–3 days, I received a call from Sparify. They told me that since I live in Bangalore and their warehouse is also in Bangalore, they would deliver the product through Porter. I agreed.

They also contacted me on WhatsApp to confirm my location, which I sent immediately. However, the product was never delivered. Today is August 20th, and 8 days after placing the order, I still haven't received anything. The order status on their website is still stuck at "On its way."

I've tried contacting them every day, at least 3 times a day, but they never answer. Sometimes, they even deliberately cut the call. The contact number listed on their website doesn't connect either.

Their WhatsApp Business account is also useless. It keeps saying "I'm transferring you to an agent," but no agent ever responds.

At this point, I feel like I've been completely blocked from contacting them, and I'm unable to get either the product or a proper response from them.

Has anyone dealt with Sparify before or faced a similar situation? Is there anything I can do to recover my ₹6,000 or report them somewhere? Would really appreciate any advice from the Reddit community.

Is there any good app/website for bikers in India?

I've been looking for an app made for indian bikers in particular where I can find good routes, get latest updates about road conditions, find dhabas to stop on the way, and discover rides nearby. Basically something around the whole riding experience. I know there are a few apps like Riding Verse, but I don't really hear people talk about them. Do you guys actually use any app or website for this? Or do you mostly use Google Maps, Reddit, etc.?

First service done - Need help!

I got the first service done for my TS400X yesterday at the Bangalore Electronic City SC.

Ever since then, I've been facing an issue with vibrations at my footpegs. Even when the clutch is engaged or when I am braking I can feel the vibrations on both my footpegs.
On the contrary, the engine vibrations have actually become smoother than before.
So I just want to understand what could be causing this. And want to fix this asap before it causes more damage.

Done enough group rides — this time I'm going solo. Anyone want the pillion seat?

Been riding with groups for a long time now, and honestly they're great. This time I wanted something different. Just me, the bike, and wherever the road decides to go.

Then I thought: solo is fun, but good company is better.

I'm based in Bangalore, and I'm planning to head out on the Super Meteor 650 for some proper riding. If you're the kind of person who's up for it, the pillion seat is open.

What I'm looking for:

- Someone adventurous — no fixed plans, no "let's turn back" energy

- Talkative. Long rides get quiet fast if you're not. I have an intercom so need not to worry can talk freely and listen to music.

- Comfortable with a bit of thrill and some unplanned detours

I've got the luggage sorted, so pack light and just show up. Ghats, highways, sunrise starts, chai stops in the middle of nowhere — that's the plan, more or less.

Fair warning though: this thing gets attention everywhere it stops. Be ready for people walking up to ask about it at every petrol pump. 😉

Drop a comment or DM if you're interested.

Motogymkhana in Bangalore

Is there any organization in Bangalore that offers motogymkhana training?

I'm not looking for track riding. I want to improve slow speed maneuvers, proper control, braking, etc. Maybe like a class on the weekend and opportunity to practice.

What makes T scrambler happy ?

I have understood the sweet spot where the bike gives such surprisingly good mileage.

150km stretch it was, normal fuel-E20.

Drop your questions if you have !

PS- Subject correction*- What makes the Triumph scrambler owner happy !

Place to check bike alignment

Hi all, I got into an accident last week on my guerilla 450. A swiggy guy on the wrong side came at full speed and slammed me, thankfully nothing serious happened to any of us. But after the accident the front wheel and the handlebar went out of alignment, engine guard got bent. I dropped the bike to RE service in Indiranagar and they said after inspection that only handlebar needed a change and fork assembly looks good and there is no damage to the chasis at all. I want to double check it from a third party for peace of mind. I have ridden the bike for 30kms post service and it has felt the same as before though, but I want to be sure before my next long ride.

Any recommendations?

TLDR: Bike got into accident, front wheel out of alignment. RE service replaced handlebar but I need third-party opinion on fork assembly and chasis.

My love increases everyday. Even after a year (almost a year).

I keep finding random excuses to sit on the motorcycle. I love riding it on the highway and I love riding it in the city. It’s not very fast but it is hella quick and thats what makes it exciting in the city too.

My disappointing experience with Glabol on a Spiti bike trip

I did a Spiti bike trip with Glabol from 15–21 June 2026 and wanted to share my experience with fellow riders.
The accommodation was different from what was promised, with some rooms and washrooms being extremely unhygienic. Their Operations executive, Yash, promised us a refund for one stay, but despite repeated follow-ups, we never received it and eventually stopped getting responses.
The riding gear was also poor — no proper knee guards, and the jackets were dirty and smelled bad. One rider in our group had a minor accident and suffered serious bruising to his knees.
The bikes were in poor condition too, and almost everyone in our group had complaints. One rider was charged ₹6,000 for repairs, which we felt was excessive.
I’ve travelled with several group travel companies, but this was easily one of my worst experiences.
If you’re planning a Spiti bike trip, especially as an inexperienced rider, please research the operator carefully. Sharing this simply so fellow riders can make an informed decision.

Battery dead

Hi all,

The battery of my scrambler 400x (bought in aug 2024) is most likely dead. Whenever I switch on the bike, the lights do not come up as they should and once I start the engine, it clicks off. I tried jump starting the bike but it did not work?

Should I take it to the nearest service center?
