Hi,
I registered for BCA in Jan by paying the fee. I also submitted my assignment few days back, however my hall ticket is not showing up in the site. Do I have to register for exam separately ? My first exam is on 18th June
Kerala doesn’t care much about Kasargod, if it was part of Karnataka, I’m pretty sure it would have been same too (I don’t agree to people claiming that Kasargod would have been developed if it was under K’taka. It is just wishful thinking).
They already have a port city Mangalore so they would only think of developing that.
Culturally and linguistically, we have more similarities with Kannada or Beary.
Malayalis from South/Central Kerala would understand Kannur Malayalam to some extend but they can’t understand even a bit of Kasaragod Malayalam at all. Even Kannur kar won’t understand it.
Also, yes we are linguistically diverse too. Not just of having multiple languages but the same Malayalam language has different accents from Kanhangad to Manjeshwaram. (Kanhagad vs central Kasargod vs Uppala vs Manjeshwaram). There is even a noticea difference in some of the words spoken by Mogral vs Arikady people. These places are hardly 10kms apart.
Most of my friends in Bangalore are Malayalis and I speak in neutral malayalam so they understand me. People also tell me that you don’t sound like someone from Kasargod because the accent is different. I tell them I speak neutral Malayalam so they can understand me.
Dishes like Kalthappam and Kadumbu are more popular in Mangalore side than in Kerala. Don’t forget the famous Manjachappala appam, people in other parts of Kerala makes Ela-ada but that is entirely different.
I studied Malayalam in school but I picked up Kannada pretty fast and easily because there was alot of similarities.
I used to identify as Malayali and associate more with Malayali culture because I was grown up speaking, reading and learning Malayalam and watching Malayalam movies but now I kinda feel like we are bunch of nobody wants in a no man’s land.
Also there is a separatists movement for Tulunadu, don’t know if that would help us have our own identity.
What are your thoughts?
I’m looking for someone to write assignments for 5 subjects for IGNOU BCA. Of course I can for it.
