Have always wanted to get the 390 Duke, but at the current price of the R, it feels a bit too expensive and at the same time the NS 400Z seems like a value for money option.
Is it worth it to pay the extra for the 399 cc Duke over the NS or the 350cc Duke for that matter? Not takking about the power figures or the specs here but the whole experience, the feeling of riding them.

I’m 23, getting married in ~2 years, and need to book a bike tomorrow during the Amazon/Flipkart sale.
Duke 250: ~₹2.60L
Hunter 350: ~₹2.10L
Duke is honestly my dream bike. I love the looks and really enjoyed the test ride. But with marriage, future family expenses and a car probably 5+ years away, I’m wondering if I should be sensible and save ₹50k with the Hunter.
Usage is mostly city, 95% below 80 km/h. Occasional pillion with my girlfriend, and maybe a hill station trip every 5–6 months. Planning to keep the bike 5–6 years.
One thing I’m also confused about is the torque difference. The Hunter makes 27 Nm @ 4,000 rpm, while the Duke makes 25 Nm @ 7,250 rpm. So the Hunter has slightly more torque on paper and makes it much lower in the rev range, which should make it easier for relaxed city riding, pillion use and steep hairpins. But the Duke has much more power overall. I’m wondering how noticeable this difference actually is in real-world riding, especially with a pillion on hills.
I’ve ruled out the CB350/H’ness because they look too big on my lean build. Also moved away from the Speed 400/Scrambler because of the current-gen features/possible future updates, plus service/ownership concerns.
If you had to make this decision, which one would you pick and why?
Have read that installing a radiator guard would trap more heat in the ktm 390 adventure. While driving I feel rocks hitting the guard sometimes, just worried if installing guard would do more harm than good?

I've riding KTM 390 Adventure R over last 2 months mainly on trails/ off-roads as well as roads but not for touring. With tall windshield, quite relevant for tourers speeding beyond 70-80kmph, it feels hot and sweaty as it blocks significant amount of air at low speeds. Further, it also blocks the clear visibility near to front tyre at off-road sections.
After doing some search, I could find one (in the photo) from puigusa.com but sadly it is not available to buy in India.

Highly disappointed today with KTM, i got my adv 390 ebony black around 10 days back and less than 500km driven.
Today morning i had a ln issue where i kept geeting message on the display saying high coolant temperature and engine temperature hot.
The bike kept on switching off itself and rom was also limitted.
Its really concerning that service centers are not ready to accommodate and saying we are busy it will kae many days, go to different showroom.
Had to speak a bit boldly to finally get the staff to check the bike, apparently the thermostat needs ro be replaced and it will take 4 to 5 days as no stock.
Dint expect this from ktm.

Hello, I am planning to buy duke 250 this Navratri so can you guys suggest me any helmet under budget 2-3k and perfect in case of safety. I don't want fancy graphics helmet. Want it to look mature and simple.
Since I wear spectacles so maybe the glasses inside helmet will give me trouble. Please help me out.
I have been noticing mild seepage on the right USD fork, I have already replaced the fork oil seal, it worked for a little bit but then the seepage started again, this has not happened to the left one. Am I tripping?
Duke 250 Gen 3, 2026
Need help of seasoned KTM owners.
The initial plan was to get Triumph Scrambler, but it felt boring/ no tech.
Went to KTM, test rode both of the 350s. A very tough decision to make between the two. While I love the way the Duke handles and fits to my body, I’ll also be travelling a lot on the weekends, half of the times with a pillion.
But I’ve heard the harder part is maintaining them. What is the maintenance on these like? What would it cost me in the long term?
Also, I have a habit of riding in higher gears, something which people say shouldn’t be done on KTMs. What % of truth does this hold?
Pretext(probably unnecessary) :I am looking to buy the first powerful bike for my younger brother. I have a CB Twister (110cc) which he used to learn riding. He Just turned 18 and I want to give him a good bike which is safe as well.
After test riding KTM Duke 160, 200 and 250, Pulsar NS400Z, I came to a decision to go with Duke 250.
I just checked olx out of curiosity, someone is selling a duke 250 gen 3 bought in 2026 January with 4800km odo. However, he is the second owner of the bike.
Now, I tested the bike and I don't see any major issues except the brake lever was replaced.
He does have that on the ktm duke app.
So, what are the things I should be worried about and should I buy it at 2.1 Lakhs or just go for a brand new duke 250.

I was wondering if more OEM accesories exist, i want to kit out my man here with the small things lol. For any wondering wheter it touches the radiator, no it doesnt. I’m in the process of buying a KTM 390 Adventure S from KTM Marathahalli (Kihvraj Elixir) in Bangalore.
I received this pro-forma invoice, and there’s a charge of ₹3,087 listed as “RSA / MANDATORY KIT.”
This immediately seemed suspicious to me because they’ve clubbed RSA and a “mandatory kit” together without giving me a proper breakup of what exactly I’m paying for.
The on-road quotation is:
Ex-showroom: ₹4,04,294
RTO + registration: ₹88,965
Insurance: ₹27,141
RSA / Mandatory Kit: ₹3,087
Total: ₹5,23,487
I understand that RTO/registration charges are unavoidable, and I’m also planning to arrange my own insurance.
But is this ₹3,087 actually mandatory? Is RSA mandatory for registering/buying the bike, or is this simply a dealer/company add-on being presented as mandatory?
Has anyone recently bought a KTM from KTM Marathahalli/Kihvraj Elixir and faced the same thing?
I’m happy to pay legitimate charges, but I don’t want to be forced into an add-on just because it’s labelled “mandatory.”
My one year old ktm adv has battery discharge issues despite using it daily. I charged twice still it occurs, will ktm replace battery in warranty?
