Looking for an accurate translation

Hi,

Looking for an accurate translation for English into Basque

Its for a flag

We want it to read

We are Basque, not Spanish

In Basque dialect

I know Google translate sometimes skews the actual translation but it has given us these

Euskaldunak gara, es espainiarrak

Or

Euskal herritarrak gara, ez espainiarrak

Thanks for any help!

Edit:

Preferably Usurbil/San Sebastian region dialect

Looking for Basque traditional music

basically what the title says, traditional or folk(something really old preferably) , preferably instrumental purely, I wanted to find something on youtube but the one I found sounded vaguely AI and had AI art all over it so I'd much rather trust ya'll here

I'm adding basajaunak to my fantasy bestiary…

…but I'm stuck for the Basandere's design.

First, is my Basajaun design valid ? And second, any tips to make a good Basandere design that could fit a TTRPG setting ?

I took a DNA test and my highest percent of ancestry is basque. It shows that 21% of my dna is Basque. I was born in Argentina and live in the United States.

One night solo in San Sebastián—where should I eat!!!

Hi everyone! I’ll be solo in San Sebastián for one night in September on my way to Biarritz, and I’m trying to figure out where to eat. I’m a huge foodie, so of course I’m doing way too much research ahead of time.

Here’s my current dinner list:

  • KBTXIKI by KBZÓN
  • Bar KBZÓNa
  • Bar Néstor
  • Arenales Donostia
  • Manojo
  • Antonio Bar

Since I only have one night, should I commit to one restaurant or do a little pintxos crawl and try a few different places? I usually try to avoid the really popular tourist places and would rather find somewhere locals actually love, but I also don’t want to skip a classic if it actually lives up to the hype!

Also, is Ganbara worth it or overrated? I keep seeing very mixed reviews. And of course I need Basque cheesecake... should I go to La Viña for the classic experience, or is there somewhere else that does it better? I

Would love any advice or additions to my list! thanks so much! :)

Basque Cider vs Asturian?

Kaixo,

I understand that the Asturian region also make a lot of cider. Is there much of a difference between the style of cider made in the Basque country vs Asturias?

Basque Names

Hello, I am a Chinese woman looking to give herself a European name. While looking online, I came across a forum discussing Basque names, and I fell in love with the name Lilura. I wanted to ask if it would be disrespectful to call myself Lilura, maybe even as an official second name, maybe with the nickname Lila. I don't speak basque, but I have a lot of respect for the Basque people and their resilience to oppression. If it's not okay, I will refrain from it of course ~

Thank you for your time
