Looking for Bellroy in Japan

For those of you who live in japan.

Where can I find Bellroy products in stores? I have been searching with no luck.

Any store that has Bellroy? Specially in Tokyo.

I don't want to buy online without trying first. I also don't want to buy online just to try and then return.

Thank you

Venture messenger review

Hi all

Have had a few bellroys over the years and was looking for a new workbag. Had the Tokyo work messenger 14 previously which I like but was a little small . Then I moved to the venture 26l backpack which was great but never a fan of backpacks for everyday work as I don't do that much walking so end up slinging them over 1 shoulder.

Saw the venture messenger released and it seems to tick a lot of boxes, was a bit pricey but seemed to have no real life video reviews. I waited weeks and nothing and just thought sod it .

Ordered the 16 inch (22l) in white (love the different colour) and have been using it for about 2 weeks .

My initial thoughts for those in the same boat, if anyone wants pics just ask .

Material - typical bellroy venture, feels very well made and would take some abuse. Love it

Clips - there are 2 magnetic clips to open the main compartment, a little fiddly at first but I have got used to them quickly. Magnets are very strong which is appreciated, can't see them undoing on their own.

Strap - nice thick and padded, this is exactly what I wanted. Has different strap on points to get the type of fit you want. Nice extra lose bit holder which seems to work well. Adjustable size also works nice and is quick and easy to adjust.

Back - again nice padding to it and very comfortable to wear, conforms nicely to the body

Carry style - this is the main reason I brought it, I love the mix style of backpack and messenger. Throw over your shoulder but it still stays on your back out the way and doesn't dangle around.

Inside front pockets - 2 different compartments which each have their own zipper ( I would prefer 1 zipper but no biggy) one side has a nice stretchy pocket which I keep my wallet and door pass , other side has 2 pen holders and cord for keys. Works well

Inside -

Has one stretch pocket to the side which fits a medium water bottle . I do prefer the Tokyo messenger pocket but so far this has been ok.

There is also one bigger stretch pocket on the front, again is fine. That's all inside, maybe would of liked one extra pocket on the other side .

Laptop - I have a 14 inch work laptop and 13 inch MacBook air, ideally I would of had the 14 inch but 16l wasn't big enough so went for the 16. It's fairly padded and has lots of room, zip works well . My 14 inch laptop fits in fine with a little wiggle room . My Mac I use the 14inch bellroy slip laptop protector which just about fits in (zip is tight but does up)

Overall size.

Generally I carry a 14 inch laptop, 500ml water bottle, venture pouch X2 , jabra full size headset in case, door pass, keys, wallet, pens , wipes/tissues and a sandwich and crisps all in completely fine with a little more room . Expands nicely when needed but keeps tight when needed also. Perfect size for a every day work pack

Usage - generally for me this is a car journey to work and then a short walk to the office (3 mins) so haven't done any major long walks with it yet. I haven't had any need to use the extra strap to keep it secure yet.

Overall, very happy with the bag. It looks stylish ( have had a few comments from people asking what bag I have). It's comfortable to wear. Has plenty of room for what I need, offers protection I need. Nearly close to being the perfect bag for me, for once I don't see myself changing work bags every 12 months like normal!

Lite Tech Kit coming soon!

I just saw this on the Bellroy website. I don’t know if this is news to anyone else or just to me, but I thought I’d share it here anyway. 😁

What should I pick?

I have always liked Bellroy's backpacks, but I ended up buying an Osprey instead because I really like the brand. However, the internal layout of the Osprey just hasn't been working for me, so I am looking at Bellroy again to see if they have something that could replace my current pack.

I am looking for a bag that fits two main needs:

  1. Daily commute: It needs to be able to hold a 14-inch laptop.
  2. Short trips: It should have enough capacity for a 3 to 5 day trip.

A friend recommended the Tokyo Tote, but I was wondering if there are any other suggestions? I am also interested in recommendations for accessories, such as wallets or wash bags.

Most importantly, I would love to hear some honest reviews on the actual user experience and how well their products hold up over time in terms of durability.
