The Fourth Of July Celebration

The Fourth Of July Celebration

UNITED STATES—For the first time, in a very long time, the Fourth of July holiday falls on a weekend, a Saturday to be exact. This has placed a lot of people already on vacation and the holiday is nowhere close. I kind of hate it because it places people in this lazy mode. Something a lot of people don’t know is that if a federal holiday falls on a Saturday, the actual holiday is celebrated the day before.

Why are the Range Rover drivers here so ghetto?

If you live here, you know the behavior I'm talking about.

Their driving is anti-social and makes the community a more dangerous place for everybody else, children and pets included.

Don't most of these people have an education and come from good families...??

Tesla Crashes Into Beverly Hills Playground, No Injuries Reported

Beverly Hills Police responded Tuesday afternoon to a report of a “rogue Tesla” that crashed through a fence and into a playground near N. Camden Drive and Santa Monica Boulevard. The car reportedly went over the curb, crossed the sidewalk, knocked down the fence, and ended up inside a large playground structure on private property. No injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation.

Thank you BH Good Samaritan!!

I was sitting at work and got a call from BHPD... OMG right? They called to tell me someone found my wallet (that I didn't even know was missing) and turned it in. I grabbed my keys and rushed down there to retrieve it and... EVERYTHING was there. Cash. Cards. ID. All of it. It must've fallen out when I was getting out of car. There are still good people in the world.

What services do you wish local nonprofits offered?

Hi everyone! I'm curious to hear from our community.
If you could ask a local nonprofit for help with one thing, what would it be?
Food assistance?
Hygiene products?
School supplies?
Mental health resources?
Job or career support?
Housing resources?
Senior services?
Something else?
We're always looking to better understand what our neighbors need most so we can serve our community more effectively. Your feedback will help us identify where support is needed most.
We're Angelinos of Hope, a student-led nonprofit serving the San Fernando Valley and greater Los Angeles through our Hands of Hope Food Pantry, free community events, student volunteer opportunities, hygiene and resource distributions, and outreach programs.
You can learn more about us at angelinosofhope.square.site or follow us on Instagram @angelinosofhope.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts—we're here to listen and learn. ❤️

💍 Wedding Etiquette Question: Is Showing Up Enough? Or Is a Gift Expected?

Wedding question:

If you attend a wedding, is your presence the gift… or should every guest bring a gift (or cash) too?

A recent article discussed couples who were surprised, and in some cases hurt, when guests attended their wedding but never gave a gift. Some guests argued that the cost of travel, hotels, time off work, and attending the event was contribution enough.

I’m curious where people stand on this.

Is a wedding gift still expected?

Does the answer change if you’re flying across the country to attend?

And if you’re the couple getting married, do you notice who didn’t bring a gift?

No right or wrong answers. Just interested in hearing different perspectives.
