NFA update

I don’t have a great tldr for this video. It’s pretty deep, but a fair summary is that the NFA changes apparently don’t apply to everyone. If you’re a member of GOA, some FPC committee, or a couple of other groups, you might be covered. There’s also a list of states mentioned. But, behind all that is a caution to make sure that you’re documenting everything in a suppressor transaction. I didn’t pick up on what the hell is going on with braces vs stocks.

Y’all stay training and be safe

Done finally kitting out my first AR-15

Two years after purchasing my first AR, I was finally able to find an outdoor/ larger than pistol caliber friendly range and shoot my rifle. Now that I'm more comfortable with shooting it, I thought I'd kit it out and add all the fun bells and whistles. If anyone has any recommendations or advice to give to make my rifle better and more efficient, I'm all ears.

Make it to Waffle House bag

Fun bag:

Eberlestock fade xl bag comes with hook and loop and dedicated pocket for plate.

Was able to pack Tp-9 6 mags

Glock 19 with 3 magazines

Medical equipment

Flashlight

Chemlights red and iR

Duel nvgs with batteries

And a bag of 9mm

Plenty of room for more but this to me is low key non contact move at night order waffles and get home asap.

Will try other weapon configs later.

Check drill (12 seconds)

Could be partially relevant to some of us... 50 state ccw

Short of Constitutional Carry, I like this, even if I won't qualify. It's a step in the right direction.

Although I remember stories of retired LEO (ACAB) getting pulled over in Maryland, and them not caring about the law.

>Sheehy's Senate proposal defines eligibility differently. It would generally require a former service member to have successfully completed special operations assessment and selection and qualification training and to have held a special warfare or special operations military occupational specialty recognized by U.S. Special Operations Command.

>That distinction means simply having served within the broader special operations enterprise would not necessarily make someone eligible.

Eta: y'all, yes constitutional carry is what we need. Cops aren't special. We're in Illinois I really hoped I wouldn't need to explain that. Be serious.

PSA Sabre 11.5 AR Pistol

This funky little number just happened to catch my eye at my LGS a few weeks ago. My only other rifle is set up with a full LPVO, so I though I would get a second carbine with and optic and magnifier for closer quarters. I thought this looked cool, but all I heard before about Palmetto State Armory were fairly negative, and associated with their budget builds. So I went home to do some research on the Sabre line, and decided to pick it up last week. Was finally able to get it zeroed at 50 yards this morning and took it out to my rifle bays at my home range. Darn it if doesn't make the steel sing out to 400+ yards! I am not particularly strong at rifle so hitting that far out (and more consistently between 200 - 300 yards) made me just giddy. My only complaint is that the handguard gto hot pretty quickly, so I may need a thicker glove for my support hand. But the next purchase will be an appropriate suppressor for this. Any suggestions on suppressors that pair well with this would be appreciated.

Anyone in the Space Coast, FL?

Have seen some posts from folks in Orlando, Daytona, and other parts of FL. Would love to find someone local to shoot with at the Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club in Palm Bay. I know it’s a needle in a haystack but 🤷🏾‍♂️

Moving with wife and weapons to another state.

Have any of you ever had to move 30 firearms to another state where we will be living for good. Chicago to Naples FFL

would be about 2.2k

I was thinking about how to do it legally and cheaply. I am open to suggestions and any input will genuinely be considered as well appreciated. Thank you.

1st range day in over a month

Had my first range day since neck spine surgery from just over a month ago. This was 15 yards with a Canik TP9SF Elite on iron sights.

Defense ammo.

Good evening, familia! Hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their weekend so far! I picked up a few boxes of different 9mm ammo to keep around. What types of ammo do you like to keep in your home defense hardware, whether it's 9mm, 45ACP, 10MM, whatever you like. Tell us why you prefer it over others!

I usually go with Sig V-Crowns in my EDCs, but these caught my eye while I was browsing online. I keep Hornady Critical Duty rifle ammo in my Hellion mags, so I figured I'd get some to throw in my Echelon as well. Based on what I've read, the polymer "flextips" in these bullets allow for penetration through common barriers like doors, walls, windows, etc, while still allowing for controlled expansion when hitting the intended target. I know that's mostly a lot of mumbo jumbo, but I figured "what the hell" and grabbed em anyway. The other 2 boxes are both Federal rounds of 124 and 147 grain loads respectively and are essentially supposed to do the same thing as the Hornady rounds.

As always, cousins! Have a great rest of your weekend! Be safe and stay dangerous!

Back again 🫡 this time rifle work.

Gave my AR and Zpap M70 some love. Unfortunately this range only pushes back to about 25 but we made it work. 😤
