Microwaves available on campus

Are there any microwaves available to be used in the dining halls (or anywhere on campus for that matter) that don’t require a meal plan to be accessible? I’m looking to bring lunch each day as an incoming student who’ll be living off campus. This is regarding the main campus.

Did anyone sign up for billing starting june? so when do they revise financial aid on the bill?

So, for some context, I am a QuestBridge student and was given the award based on last year's cost of attendance, which, according to BC, would be adjusted no matter how high the costs rise. And like every year, the costs rose by 7 grand. Oh, and also, my medical insurance is covered. So minus 4k that

Now the problem is that when making a payment plan, I put in the most accurate amount of financial aid that was given to me, regardless of how much the prices increased. And now, they haven't updated my financial aid, and I have to pay the amount on June 10th. I am just supposed to pay 1.6k, but if they don't change it, I would have to pay 8.7k which is waaaay more and I'd just be giving them free money for the first month. Money I don't even have.

So basically... how do I fix this? Or will they eventually change it? If I do end up paying that amount, will I get the refund check when they find out? Or should I have waited to do the payment plan later?

How faithful is BC to its Catholic heritage

this question is more for practicing Catholics. I could speak for the University of Notre Dame, but I’ve never been to Boston College and I know that even though it doesn’t get as much as a barrage of hate like Notre Dame does whenever something goes wrong, but a lot of Catholics kind of considered Boston College and Georgetown, a loss cause. Like I said before I could speak for Notre Dame and it still is a very devout Catholic campus and most of campus life has to do with it granted if you don’t like it, you could just avoid it but you’re not gonna have as much fun. And the school itself does a pretty decent job, trying be faithful to the magisterium. how is BC at it?

Insurance Costs?

I'm looking through the BC forms I need to fill out, and there's something about insurance. Looking through it, it seems students need to pay around 4k a year for health insurance, and that applies to me as my insurance only applies to the state I'm living in. My question is whether that cost was factored into my tuition or not and if I will get some of that cost slashed since I'm low-income.

Honors Chemistry

Just got an email about applying to be an honors chemistry student as a biochem major. What has been your experience with this? Is it worth it for premed? Would you recommend it?

Emerging Leader Program Pre-Med?

Hi! I’m a first year student and just got an email about applying for ELP. I’m planning on being premed. Would you say it’s worth applying to this program, or are there other opportunities at BC I should focus more on as a premed student (focused on service). What’s your experience with this program?

Anyone find using the BC health insurance weirdly hard? I hand over my insurance card and everyone gets confused.

Lots of problems updating my insurance this year. Confused providers, takes up to 30 minutes on the phone to verify (!), people asking "wait, is that the only number? what kind of insurance do you have again? Doesn't it start with an H?"

I reached out to UHCSR and they are telling me that only I am experiencing this problem.
