[19F] Rising sophomore (CS + Finance) targeting quant/fintech internships for Summer 2027, would love a critique

I'm a rising sophomore studying CS with a Finance minor, trying to break into quant or fintech. I've got some early connections/referrals lined up at a small defense company for an internship next summer, along with another interning opportunity at a department in lincoln labratory, but also want to maximize my shot at the 2027 internship cycle (quant trading/research, fintech, or similar) to expand my options and could use an outside perspective before then.

I'm also genuinely interested in AI/ML and have been leaning into that through research and coursework. Heads up that a couple of the research assistant bullet points are still thin since that position is fairly new, I'll be fleshing those out more by end of August once I have more concrete results to point to.

What's missing or looks bad/can be more fleshed out? Thanks in advance!

Automatic toy recs for alone play?

When I’m busy she goes straight for the curtains and her litterbox out of boredom 😭 I got her the an interactive ball that rolls by itself off amazon but she’s scared of it, I think it’s either the whirring sound or the size. Looking for automatic/self-play toy recs that won’t terrify her, anything that’s worked for your kitten?

Breeder labeled her a blue bicolor, but I’m second-guessing it, anyone have baby vs. adult photos of their lynx bicolors?

She has the signature “eyeliner” around her eyes and her coloring isn’t totally solid, there are subtle darker striped patches mixed in that make me wonder if she’s actually a lynx bicolor.

Would love to see your lynx bicolor Ragdolls as kittens vs. adults so I can compare. The lynx pattern is so hard to spot when they’re young and I’ve heard it becomes way more defined with age.

Day 3 with baby Minoo, will she get calmer?

We brought her home a few days ago and from day one she was kind of unpredictably cautious, like mostly cuddly and playful but would randomly get a little hesitant or spooked for no obvious reason. Hard to find a pattern. But she’s been warming up fast!
However, this girl does NOT stop. Running, jumping, launching herself off furniture.. pure chaos from the moment she wakes up. Playing is genuinely the only thing that exists to her right now.

When she’s not in gremlin mode though she’s SO sweet, comes and sits on my chest, purrs whenever she’s near me, exactly what I wanted from a Ragdoll. I’m intentionally not picking her up much yet because I don’t want her to associate being held with feeling trapped, I want her to come to it on her own terms. But sometimes when she’s in full play mode she’ll grab my arm or do the bunny kick thing on my hand like I’m one of her toys lol.

The apprehension is still there too and still just as hard to read, she’ll dart under something and I genuinely can’t tell if she’s playing or if me approaching her spooked her.

She’s around 3 months old so I know she’s still a baby. My question for those of you who’ve had Ragdolls: did yours eventually mellow out and get more consistently cuddly as they got older? Right now play mode is so dominant that the sweet calm moments feel almost rare. Does it balance out? And did the apprehension ease up over time?

she also plays in her litter box and I have no idea how to stop it 😭 open to any advice on that too

Most tedious part of asset preparation?

tbh for me it’s not even making the asset itself, it’s when I have something that looks good and then have to spend time UV mapping, retopology, making it game-ready.. i hate it

What part of asset preparation wastes the most time?

For those of you making games, what asset-related task feels the most repetitive?

Not asset creation itself, but everything that comes after like optimizing meshes, rigging, texture/material cleanup etc

Essentially what’s the thing you end up doing over and over that you'd happily automate if you could?
Trying to learn where developers actually lose hours in production.

Lip Augmentation Recommendations

I've gotten filler but honestly it's been disappointing. They looked cute for maybe the first 3-4 months and then it's like they just disappeared. It hasn't even been a full year and they've basically reverted to my natural lips (I had 1.5 syringes injected in the course of 2 months). I don't want to keep putting money into something that fades that fast.

My main concern is that my top lip has significantly less vertical volume than my bottom lip and I really want them to look more symmetrical. A lip lift doesn't feel like the right move for this. From what I understand it's more about the philtrum length, not actually adding volume to the upper lip itself.

I've been researching the V to Y advancement which seems like it could actually address what I'm looking for, but finding the right doctor or anyone who even still performs this has been a nightmare. I don't want some celebrity surgeon who does every procedure under the sun but rather someone who specializes in this and actually has a strong portfolio for it. On top of that, finding someone who's reasonably close and not completely out of my budget is nearly impossible.

Has anyone dealt with a similar imbalance between their upper and lower lip, or found a good specialist for V to Y? Open to other suggestion procedures too if there's something I'm not considering.

I need help deciding which kitty to pick up! I’ve narrowed it down to these two from my breeder. Basically the issue is they’re both a little young so I’m not sure what their full coloration and markings will look like. One of them (first 4 pics) is a blue lynx bicolor and the other (last pic) is supposedly a blue lynx. The bicolor is a girl and the lynx is a boy. Both are TICA registered and giving all the genetic health guarantees, shots, and etc. Hoping for some opinions, thanks!

I’m a college student and I’m broke, and I’m sorry for using an OTA because I know people are going to be frustrated with me for that. I booked a Frontier Airlines flight through BudgetAir (third-party OTA) for about $110. After booking, I initially tried to cancel through BudgetAir’s website, but I was informed there would be a $110 cancellation/service fee. Because of that, I instead went directly to Frontier Airlines and canceled the booking through them under the 24 hour USDOT policy. Frontier has since confirmed that the ticket was canceled in their system and that a full refund was issued back to the original payment method used for the booking. However, BudgetAir is now denying or not clearly acknowledging the cancellation. At this point, Frontier shows the refund has already been processed, and I have provided BudgetAir with proof of cancellation from the airline. I’m trying to understand how BudgetAir is supposed to handle the refund in this situation, whether the $110 fee is still valid if I canceled directly through the airline after seeing their fee, and what my best next step is in terms of waiting versus disputing the charge.
