Breakfast randomness

Just finished watching the episode where Mike Brady wins father of the year. Curious as to why he came in the back way and ruin the surprise as opposed to the front. There was never any rhyme or reason as to how the family entered the house. I hardly use my front door; always through the garage. Aaaaanyway, just thinking out loud while I heat up these leftovers

Are there any times that you can think of where Mike and Carol were unnecessarily strict with the kids?

I feel like family sitcoms can sometimes have moments where the parents were a little unfair with their punishing technique so I was just wondering if there were any moments like that in this one? I haven't seen the entire show in a while so I don't remember every episode so I can't really think of a specific example except maybe when Marcia was submitting Mike for Father of the Year and he kept punishing her but I guess she deserved them for breaking the rules but I also feel like maybe he was being a little too strict for someone who is a relatively new stepfather to her.

Jan's paint job on the boat was amazing. And Greg and Marcia painted over it!

Brady House Tour

I went on the house tour today! Spoiler pics and details, fyi.

Visiting The Brady Bunch house felt like reliving bits of my childhood, and when it was time for me to leave, I truly did not want to go! The interior renovation ensured that every corner of the home captures the warm, colorful, slightly quirky charm and all of it brought back so many memories. From the floating staircase to the bold orange-and-avocado kitchen and the incredibly detailed retro bedrooms. What surprised me most was how authentic the house feels in person — not like a museum, but like the Brady family could walk through the door at any moment. Besides the physical renovation, the home itself was packed with nostalgic details, behind-the-scenes touches, and photo-worthy items that instantly transported me back to watching the reruns. I’ve posted a few of those items here.

For longtime fans, it’s honestly one of the coolest TV experiences you can have!

Mike and Carol’s Bathroom?

While the kid’s bathroom was shown regularly on the show (minus a toilet), I seem to remember at least one episode showing a shot of the sink vanity through the doorway behind Mike and Carol’s bed as they’re exiting it getting ready for bed.

When people tour the newly restored Brady House they often mention that the parents bathroom was never shown however I’m almost certain that’s not true. Does anyone remember what episode it was partially shown in or have photos?

She was on WGN Morning News this am to talk about her new book, Happiness Included; Jan Brady & Beyond. She talked about her time on the show & life after

At one point they showed her a spoof that 9 o'clock hour host comedian Mike Toomey did on the show a few years ago of the doll commercial that she did in her early years.

Having previously seen the commercial I was a little worried how she might take it but she laughed, even saying that it was "everyone's nightmare"

😅
