When your character gains something from collecting materials does the lootworm also? Or are you essentially competing with it?

Eg. Lucky gives damage when it picks up materials, Bucaneer needs the material to reset its weapons.

What about items like Cute Monkey or Elephant?

So its been 8 hours and several dozen runs. Full damage cant kill anything, full tank is squishy, full heal cant survive to wave 10, and every combination of these doesn’t work. I tried OP builds on OP characters, nothing gets past wave 15. The super spitters just kill me no matter what. What am I doing wrong. I get out-scaled very early on on every character ive tried regardless of luck.

Ok so for the past few days ive been trying to win on danger 5 for the first time, and it hasn’t been going well to say the least

but goddamn does it suck when you lose with 4 seconds on the clock on wave 20

has anyone clear with bull and streamer on nightmare? any tips? have done a couple of runs each and both abyss and crash zone and its dispair....

I bought Brotato on Xbox less than a week ago. I've already played for 46 hours… shame on me 😂

I plan to level up each character in order. Levels D1 to D4 are relatively easy, but when D5 comes along, it's brutal! I spent 24 hours just trying to beat Balanced D5 (I finally managed it yesterday). I'm now on Brawler D5 and it looks just as difficult 🥵 Do you have any tips in general?

If all the characters are going to be this difficult, I'm going to spend way too many hours trying to beat the game!

Hi. I have been playing for about 2 weeks and got a question about captain. I read steam community and this subreddit but I still can't beat the game with this stupid captain. I tried so many different builds but having less weapons than other characters while enemies scale faster and not getting significantly more exp, I started with 2 torches build and it was good to begin with but materials scattering everywhere and even though having many luck and harvesting I didn't get any baby lizards to attract materials for me. So I change strategy to having ethereal flint and axe. This time, the character's unable to deal with waves with many spitters. Trying firearms build also didn't end well or spear build. So what to do here? I spent 6 hours to finish a game with this character but enemies scale faster even with his passive.

For context, I've got about 90 hours in the game. Maybe 15 or so D5 wins. I'd never looked anything up about the game and played purely on vibes. When nightmare came out, it was clear that I wasn't going to have a good time, so I started watching some YouTube and reading this subreddit.

For me, the biggest "woah" moment was realising how broken Curse is. I kept seeing people say Creature was very strong, which was bizarre to me. Up until then I basically always skipped cursed items. Why would I want something that's cursed? I don't want to be cursed. That sounds bad. I tried it - Creature is the only character so far I've oneshot nightmare with. Nightmare creature is easier than most characters D5, imo.

Am I alone in this kind of thing or any other nuggets people have picked up?

My Multitasker keeps losing 40-90 hp points after wave 40 and I don't know why.
